            While I freely admit that my own erratic postings have contributed heavily to the bog down of play, I'm going to have to request that everyone make both a discussion & a gameplay post within the next three days or I feel compelled to go ahead & close the campaign.

            I am still around, but truth be told, have lost a lot of interest in the game with the pace being what it is. I take some of the blame, because there have been times I could have chimed in, but chose not to, and the less posts that are completed, the less everyone else posts, and the game slows even more.
I will also say that some of my frustration comes with seeing people active on the forums in other games and in other threads, but nothing posted here, which does make me feel others are not very investing in the game as well.
I too feel the game play thread has hit a snag where no one really knows what to do.

            Well, I like the story, and i like my character. I think we could be a good group, if everyone was a bit more active.
Now i can understand that sometimes you don't manage to get into the story, however hard you try

            One thing I've noticed, is that this part seems to be very "Sandbox" with the PC's just in town exploring stuff. I'm fine with some elementals of sandbox, but it always helps to have an immediate goal and dangling carrot for the PC's to chase. Now, I haven't read the AP, but it seems like we have been given like a dozen hints at something, and we don't really know which way to go.
I think something that could be helpful would be a Leads unchecked list somewhere, so if things get slow, someone can post a "well, nothing else, here, lets try XXX"
I'm also feeling this AP is kinda hard to run in the right theme in PBP, because it relys so heavily on atmosphere. No matter what gets written, when I'm in a brightly lit office building checking on posts between claims, I'm not going to have the same reaction as I would if we were in a dark room with creapy music playing, something I would do if this was a f2f game. Not really sure how to fix that, just something I've noticed.

            You've got a point there.
The mood is ofcourse more difficult to set, but I have to say that for me/Tamarie, it's mostly because I'm out of ideas. I have no idea on what to do, so I don't want to lead everyone somewhere I have no idea where it will lead, and if it's the correct path to go...

            I get bogged down and confused in the posts where a character says a lot of stuff at once.
I find it's easier to keep track of what's going on if the suggestions/hints/ideas aren't buried in a huge block of bolded text. I'd rather see things broken up into different paragraphs or even different posts.

            Case in point:
What in the heck are we doing now that we're at Gibs Hephenus's shack? Are we there to ask him if he heard/saw anything the night the statue was defaced or ask about the Hephenus listed on the plaque and historical stuff?

            nearly:
I was about to ask him if he had saw anything, trying to get him chatty by talking about his ancestor.
MEANWHILE, Tam" would try to check if she sees anything suscpicious in Gib's backyard.
Davor will stay with me, and will signal Zander when the chatting ends, so he can calls Tamarie back (because we don't have a batsignal, or a bird call designed for half-elf.^^)
Oh, BTW Tam"..

            I'm sorry, maybe i read that too quick: if i understand well, Tam" and Zander picked up whatever proofs they found at Gib Hephernus's house and bring them to Kendra's place?

            Zander's around, he just felt that since he hadn't dealt with the little girl before, it'd be better for him to stay back with the wallflowers.

            Thank you all for your patience. I have finally finished my classes & hope to have more time/energy to devote to this. I hope to return to a more regular/daily posting schedule now.
Understand, with the exception of combat, that is going to mean if you don't post something between my gameplay posts, you may very well find your character pulled along in the wake of events. I'm hoping that once we have a positive momentum going we will all be back in a more active rhythm.

            Davor's generally not going to be all that talkative during our interactions with NPCs. If I have something important to say/ask, I'll try to do so, but I won't be bothered all that much if conversations move along without any input from me.

            Exactly. I always try to post something like "Tamarie stands there, saying nothing but keeping her eye on Vivian's back."
Or something similar. Naughty girl Vivian!

            You actually can tell when something is in a foreign language? *shocked*
I simply asked in her native tongue, as a sign of respect :)
Let's play a game of "What language is this?"
These are all languages I speak 'fluently' :p
* Moi, j'ai dix-neuf ans!
* Ik woon in Vlaanderen.
* Ich liebe mein Freundin.
* And I like roleplaying.

            French, saying you are 19 years old
Dutch, you live in Flanders
German, you love your girlfriend
and that last one stumps me.
In full disclosure, I had to look up the dutch one. My I speak french from HS (so VERY badly) and know a bit of german from my grandparents.

            and that last one stumps me.
You're lucky I wasn't drinking when I read that...
For future reference, the languages I regularly use for various languages in games are:English for Taldane/Common
Dutch for Halfling
German for Dwarven
Irish for Elven
Romanian for Varisian
Haitian Creole for Goblin
Khmer for Abyssal, mostly because it looks like it could be anything in text so it's easy for me to imagine it as somehow hateful & reality-twisting. This is not to imply that people who actually speak Khmer are hateful or evil in any way, it just looks sinister & cool 'to me'
Hungarian or Icelandic for Orc, both look pretty 'metal' as it were, & scan as though they would sound harsh & guttural.
I've been using Maori for Hallit, but I'm not certain I want to for this game.
This is not to say I'm fluent, or even actually comprehensible in anything but English, Google Translate is my friend who gets me into all kinds of trouble when I allow it...

            That's amazing you actually understand these languages.
I'm Belgian, so it's normal to be multi-lingual but it's really bizar to find an American that can understand more than basic English :)
