You follow the pair through the busy streets of Tyr, looking for an opportunity to cut them off. Not long into your tail, Daishata notices the pair glance at Rennoc and Chumani, then at each other. They immediately duck into a passing crowd attempting to lose you. Her eyes, as well as those of Lucian are too sharp however. They pick up the pace and you give chase. Their destination turns out to be a run down building in the warrens. The stone over the entrance has the words 'Dying Crodlu' Those of you familiar with such establishments in Tyr know it to be a dive hookah lounge.

Rahger makes his way around the outer part of the building, seeing if he can get a look inside. He makes sure to stay out of line of sight from the slits by hugging the walls, making his way to I19.

As you approach the building, you hear the echos of hurried conversation and people moving around inside.

So who exactly (if anyone) is entering the building?
Rahger, sneaking normally (at half speed) it will take Rahger about 4 rounds to reach that position. The slits are just open holes. A DC 30 escape artist check would be required to squeeze through a window slit. For being small, I’ll give a you a +4 circumstance bonus. This also takes 1 minute to accomplish.

The Map

It takes your eyes a moment to adjust to the relative darkness within. When they do, you find yourself in a smoke filled chamber, piled high with various rugs and pillows. Eight pillars support the roof. Behind these, a half elf and a dwarf slowly walk back and forth, two of those chosen at the mountain camp. Both are hazy and indistinct, more so than the smoke alone would cause. The dwarf is surrounded by a nimbus of fire and the half elf wields a crimson beam of energy as a sword. You see no sign of Yaris or Mutami.

It is the half elf who speaks. “I don’t know who you are, but you crashed the wrong party. Nothing personal, but your lives end here.” You notice that in front of him, a thin patina of ash covers the carpets.

In the north chamber, Rahger sees a grubby looking human passed out. It appears that he has rolled off of one of the beds here. He does not recognize the individual.

Initiative DC is 15 to act now. Otherwise you will act after your opponents. The pillars provide cover.

Knowledge: Arcana DC 15:

The ash is the result of someone using defiling magic.

Rennoc laughed at the sight of pathetic wretches arrayed before him, You believe that your pathetic magics of defiling are actually worth anything foolish half breed? Let me show you a taste of true power!

As he speaks Rennoc draws forth the Cerulean Lens and invokes a powerful rune. With one simple, terrible word of arcane power the ashes in the room come together into a massive cloud of swirling dust. Rennoc puts it directly between the two combatants, separating them.

Daishata keep the dwarf occupied, we will take out the half elf.

Putting the Ash Storm directly between B and R, this terrain is now difficult.


Ash storm has a 40' radius. Put all the way at the back of the room, it basically creates a semicircle reaching all the way into Chumani's space (but not quite into Rennoc and Hamailii's. No one inside the cloud can see or be seen now.

She calls out the door. "Uh, Lucian, Gideon - melee!!!" Then, with a moment's concentration bathes herself in a cool blue protective energy. She turns her attention to her weapon and casts another spell upon it...

The Map

”Magic? Why would we need magic? The power of the mind shall suffice.” A low rushing noise, followed by a cone of fire spouts from the northern end of the room, threatening to incinerate you. Immediately following it, a scream emanates from near the center center of the swirling cloud of ash. It threatens to overwhelm your senses. However, possibly due to the ash storm’s interference, the scream’s effects only reach Rennoc.

Fire: 6d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 1, 5, 3) + 6 = 26

Rennoc must make a DC 15 Will save or be stunned for 2 rounds. Rennoc, Daishata and Chumani also take 26 fire damage. A DC 16 reflex save will reduce this damage by half. Due to the cover of the pillars, you receive a +2 bonus to the reflex save.
Reminder: You do have hero points.

Hamailii tries to pinpoint the location or vague direction of the spellcaster to attack him. She has no idea though what´s going on in that smoke.
Thanks to the spell, he is invisible. That means the DC to notice him is 20 (+20 from invisible, -20 because in combat and spellcasting). Pinpoint the exact location is +20 on the DC, so it´s literaly impossible for me. Even if pinpointed there would be still a 50% miss chance.

As he sends the Message to Chumani Rennoc retreats out the door (E13), his skin blistered he calmly speaks to Gideon in a low voice.

Retreat from this place and come back bearing torches. If they won't come out they will burn.

Don't underestimate the power of a mage, they are effectively blind as bats... They won't know what is going on until it is too late...

The Map

To your surprise and displeasure the Mul from the camp materializes out of thin air, his heartpick in the process of coming down towards Hamailii’s back. It appeared that he was aiming for a vital area, but the shifting form of her psionic protection saved her from the worst of the strike.

On the Southwest edge of the storm, another patina of ash suddenly appears on the ground and you think you might hear some arcane mutterings. Due to the conditions, it is however impossible to determine exactly what spell was cast, or if one even was for certain.

No specific initiative order, You all and your opponents simply alternate taking turns (So take one now). The order between PCs is being ignored.
