I know of a spell that can do what you speak of however I first need the proper inks and tools to inscribe it... Secondly I am unsure of how the Storm would channel such a magic, for all I know the spell you mention would allow me to see only out of a Tyr Storm...

I'm good with resting, was just outlining my options. Since I am resting I will not need any charges from the wand to heal. I can use my own powers.
Body Adjustment: 1d12 ⇒ 10
Body Adjustment: 1d12 ⇒ 3
13 points of healing plus sleeping I will be at full health.
Daishata Kahira
Dai is up to 36 HP with 8 hours rest. Taking two charges of CLW wand.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Perfection itself. 51 HP.
Dai offers Rennoc any inks or tools she has that are at all applicable or useful to complete the eldritch task required.
Rahger Grahar
Rahger will take in 5 charges before resting.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
This brings Rahger from 15 to 48. Better safe than sorry!

Wand charges for Lucian: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (2, 7) + 2 = 11
After resting, by my count, Rennoc still has 9 points of damage, Hamailii has 4 (I see no record of Dai healing her) and Lucian has 10. The rest of you are at full HP.
You may use more wand charges now, before the encounter below begins if you wish.
I will assume that Daishata is carrying at least one of the wands in battle, as she is the only one who can use them without UMD.
You sleep in fits that night, eager to overtake your prey the following day. Your pace is brisk in the morning. You ride over another dune to discover the Vordon party surrounded by a large pack of thri-kreen. They are not fighting. You spot Thaxos Vordon conversing with one of the mantis warriors, who is inspecting a gem. “Nice shiny” you overhear the kreen leader say in broken common. It then clicks something to its fellow warriors who click their mandibles together in approval.
“It’s them!” Nadar points and shouts.
“Slay them!” Thaxos commands. The kreen leader turns to her warriors and gives an order in their clicking speech.
Suddenly, everyone’s eyes turn to you and the kreen charge forward, waving gythkas and preparing to throw chatkchas. You brace yourselves, for few things are more terrible to encounter than a pack of thri-kreen raiders.
Thaxos’s party consists of Nadar, his Mul bodyguard Cratek Skullsplitter, the human Crakos, the dwarf Borras and a chitin clad human wielding a large metal sword and a wooden shield. For now, they seem content to hold back and let the Kreen horde do the dirty work.
The human is Asher Troika, leader of the now exposed dummy trading house that bore his name. You have heard that he is accomplished in both the martial and psionic arts.
Initiative DC is 11 to act now.
I’m telling you straight up that each thri-kreen has 11 hp so you’re not bogged down wondering whether you’ve killed one or not.

Initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Lucian steps to H12 and conjures a magical card. He takes aim at the warrior at S12 and flings the card with his new-found accuracy at long range. The card shimmers with freezing magic as it strikes the target.
"Let them come, these creatures are no match for us." Lucian says with a chuckle as the Thri-Kreen falls to the ground.

Rennoc
Rennoc will take an additional two shakes of the wand. Using a hero point to take an additional standard action, casting two Ash Storm's spell (one using my Lens).
Initiative1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Before the elven psion can even speak Rennoc is already moving he holds up his glowing, purple lens to the sky and speaks one Syllable... You cannot hear the word, the sheer force of it is like a terrible thunderclap, Rennoc is not calling upon some mere magic trick pandered by an illusionist in some dark alley... This is real power.
For a few seconds it seems nothing is happening, then you see something on the horizon... It cannot be, it cannot be...a Tyr Storm! The Storm settles over the Kreen horde and from it's ominous, purple clouds two twisters descend upon the foes of Rennoc.
Rennoc begins to speak as the twisters take shape in the enemy ranks... Back onto the kanks, the Tyr Storm will last only for a while. Long enough to flank Thaxos and his servitors however!
Rennoc moves quickly to his own Kank and will saddle up as soon as possible...
Decided to take some artistic license with the two Ash Storm spells, this is Rennoc's "natural" environment (e.g under the open sky and not in some enclosed building, origin points for the spells are V22 and V10.

Dai gasps momentarily upon seeing the 'keen horde. She hears their leader command them. She is only a fraction behind Rennoc as he calls forth the Tyr storm.
"Thaxos has bonded into their clutch with payment of gems. The 'kreen see us as enemies now - we cannot parley with them."
She sees the human in chitin armor, and recognizes him from his description. The Gulgite screams into the oncoming storm.
"That one with the metal sword - Asher Troika of the house of the same name. A competent psionicist as well as able fighter! Be wary!"
Dai calls forth the power of her own growing divine might, bathing all those in a 50' burst in a holy blessing.
Round 1
Standard Action: Cast bless So don't forget, everyone except Gideon and Rennoc (unfortunately outside the burst) +1 to attacks and saves vs fear
Move Action: [EDIT - just noticed the Discussion thread saying the Kanks are the black spots. Not sure what I thought those were actually…. So seeing as our kanks are too far away for Dai to reach in a round, and she is more a stay on the ground and take out chariots with a gouge type gal….] Move to J7
Yay - I speak 'keen - at least (language dependent) blistering invective might be useful if Rennoc hasn't mopped them up…

Seriously? A sandstorm and then run away? I thought you were going to unleash something really powerfull that would tear the flesh from their bones! I hate those elf-eating lizards. And we need to catch Thaxos, that´s our job! How we gonna do that now? He can flee just as good as we can behind that cloud of sand.

Ok, then I will have the following up.

Not while we have kanks and Thaxos does not elf, if he retreats his entourage will leave footprints in the sand and we will be at the advantage. I doubt that those lizards are going to be capable of keeping up with kanks even if they can escape the cyclones...

Unsure of what type of actions these checks are. Rahger will try to make the best of these beasts.

Lucian’s card finds its mark and the thri-kreen falls to the sand. The cloud slows the rest’s assault considerably, but does not dissuade the mantis warriors. The first wave of insectoid fighters burst out of the sandstorm at speed. They appear to be moving as fast are your own mounts could. Due to some disorientation and hindering by the cloud however, they are only able to reach you, not yet able to strike.
Whether because of fear or sheer orneriness, your kanks do not come when called. Now that you think about it, they are rather dumb vermin and you haven’t had much luck teaching them to do much of anything.
Beyond the clouds, you have no idea what Thaxos and company are up to. Anything on the map past the clouds is their last known position.
Mounting a kank is a Move action. A DC 20 ride check can make this a Free action, but you must still have a spare Move action when attempting it, which is used up in the case of a failure (but you still mount).
