Cleo would become something giant and hairy in her next life... which is kind of creepy so no I don't want her to die.

AEC instead of AMC... good choice.

In rpg reality, Cleo would fight tooth and nail about splitting up and leaving Maria alone, to the point of plopping her tail down and refusing to move away from that spot unless Maria comes with them... but that would be enforcing her fears and worries (and my own) on your character which wouldn't be right.

If you want Maria to do this, we can summarize a big argument which has Cleo finally agreeing and can move on.

Just let me know sir, and I'll stop arguing.

I have been doing a lot better recently, just trying to get back to my hobbies again, trying to enjoy writing and not stress stuff. I feel really bad about disappearing because I really loved the game and really like you guys. I am glad you all seem to be doing good though. :)

We know sir. Life happens, no matter how much we'd like sometimes to escape it, reality has dibs. Very very glad you are doing better.

Maria is becoming a mage now as well, officially it makes her a magical girl now. Cleo and Helgarr haven't changed much, but we have some wonderful additions, Wabbit and Brelin, plus undead Furnok weighing in now and then.

What Oh poop Cleo? My potential death?Because that was discussed between Fantastic Mr. Fox and myself. While I don't intend to go down easy, it was my idea that she face real danger.

of course oh poop is the potential of losing Maria. I am happy with risks and potential of character death, it is part of what makes these games fun. But I can still poop over it.


So, if Maria dies what soumds most interesting to you guys? Hidden Weapon Master which will either be Ninja or Rogue fighter multiclass, or Gnome Luchador which will be using a monk archetype?

That's the problem. Both are concepts I really want to play, but I'm having trouble deciding which one.

Gnome luchador is definitely funny, but I'm not sure how well it fits the theme or setting. Monk would make sense but I would put it to you to consider brawler. I'm not sure how the mechanics work out, but you might have a really hard time once we start fighting very big things. We eventually hit colossal enemies, but that's way into book 4+.

Nothing wrong with a weapons master, but the hidden part might not get much benefit. This campaign really doesn't have much in the way of subterfuge. At least not in the way of assassination.

Hopefully this doesn't come out as a downer. I just want to inform you about my concerns. I wouldn't want you to be dissatisfied with your character choices.


The hidden is more thematic. He prefers to look less threatening than his compatriots. As such he'd probably rely on things like potions of Mage armor. I might also dip into monk there for the wisdom AC bonus.

As to the Gnome Luchador, Brawler does look pretty good for it. And some archetypes that could help against bigger creatures. Decisions decisions.


So, I'm not sure, how do standard actions affect the chase and movement?


Ride on Helgarr's shoulders as a Master-Blaster combo.

Guys, dropping a line to let you know I will be going on vacations from the 20th until the 30th June. Will have access to internet, and will probably be able to post here and there during those 10 days, but in between family, SUN, beach, swimming pool and summer beverages, the posts will have to wait a tad ;)

I hope Maria's death turned out okay by you. Take your time when deciding your next character. In terms of introducing someone new, I'd recommend either a patient in the nuthouse, or back at Sandpoint. Either way, there's plenty of time.


I'm thinking maybe a thassilionian scholar that uses sin magic.

Sin magic would be extremely thematic for our game. You might want to pick up the Runesage archetype for wizard.
