+1 Light Mithril Steel Shield of Bashing - 5009gp
+1 Armor (+6AC, 4 max dex, -1 ACP, Medium armor) - 1050gp
+2 Tulwar (Scimitar for in game purposes.) - 8015gp
+2 Studded Leather armor - 4025gp
+2 Falchion - 8075gp
+1 Armored Kilt - 1020gp
Masterwork Scorpion Whip - 305gp
+3 Earthbreaker - 18040gp
Ring of Protection +2 - 8000gp
Amulet of Natural Armor +2 - 8000gp
Cloak of Resistance +3 - 9000gp
Belt of Dex & Con +2 - 10000gp
Total Value = 80539gp
So, first things first, what do we want to keep and what do we want to sell? I have no interest in anything besides the Ring, Amulet, and Cloak.

I have a belt of dexterity already, so if either of you are just looking for the extra DEX I can trade you, since it seem to be team muscle. The cloak would be nice, but I'm not desperate. Other than the studded leather I have none of the proficiencies for anything else.

+2 Tulwar
Ring of Protection +2
Amulet of Natural Armor +2
Cloak of Resistance +3
Belt of Dex & Con +2
Want List:
Erianna
+2 Tulwar (uncontested)
Ring of Protection +2 (contested, upgrade)
Amulet of Natural Armor +2 (contested, upgrade)
Cloak of Resistance +3 (contested, upgrade)
Belt of Dex & Con +2 (contested)
Esther
Ring of Protection +2 (contested)
Belt of Dex & Con +2 (contested)
Erasmus
Belt of Dex & Con +2 (contested, upgrade)
Mortimer
Ring of Protection +2 (contested)
Amulet of Natural Armor +2 (contested)
Cloak of Resistance +3 (contested, upgrade)
My proposed solution
Erianna gets the Tulwar. Mortimer gets the Cloak of Resistance +3, gives his +2 cloak to Erianna, and Erianna gives her +1 cloak to Erasmus. Now Erasmus gives his +2 belt of dex to Esther and he gets the +2 belt of con/dex. Mortimer gets the Amulet of natural armor +2 and Esther gets the ring of protection +2.
Value of gear acquired
Erianna
+2 Tulwar=8025gp
Upgrade Cloak of Resistance from +1 to +2=4000-1000=3000
Total Gain=11025gp
Erasmus
Upgrade Belt from +2 dex to +2 con/dex=10000-4000=6000
Cloak of Resistance +1=1000
Total Gain=7000gp
Esther
Belt of Dex +2=4000
Ring of Protection +2=8000
Total Gain=12000gp
Mortimer
Upgrade Cloak of Resistance from +2 to +3=9000-4000=5000
Amulet of Natural Armor +2=8000
Total Gain=13000gp
Sell List
+1 Light Mithril Steel Shield of Bashing - 5009gp
+1 Armor (+6AC, 4 max dex, -1 ACP, Medium armor) - 1050gp
+2 Falchion - 8075gp
+1 Armored Kilt - 1020gp
Masterwork Scorpion Whip - 305gp
+3 Earthbreaker - 18040gp
Total Value=33500 (actual value is 33499, I rounded for simplicity)
DM, what is our selling rate?
If we assume the selling rate is 1/2 base price, then the total value of loot per person is 14943.75gp. That means if we sell all these items at half base price, Mortimer gets 1943.75gp, Erianna gets 3918.75gp, Esther gets 2943.75gp, and Erasmus gets 7943.75gp.
Thoughts?
Erasmus ended up with the short end of the stick here, but if we get to sell off the rest of the items we'll give him a bigger cut and all end up having the same amount of value for loot. Love to hear thoughts.

I seem to have a different perspective than yours regarding Wizard AC - as I see it, it is something he should never rely on, instead focusing on making sure he is not drawn into a melee or ranged combat - his full efforts being on making it as hard as possible for this to happen - for example, in our fight back with Targ, a mirror image spell would do for Mortimer what no ring of protection, or amulet of natural armor ever will. We can debate this further later on if you would like.
In any case, I was merely joking ;) I'm fine with the loot distribution. I'll see what else I can upgrade with my share of the gold.

I don't like having to rely on my AC either, but getting attacked happens if I want it to or not. With a AC 2 higher a few of those attacks would have missed me and I wouldn't have had to waste two rounds going on the defensive.
Yes I realize I didn't powergame Mortimer, I'm trying a new flavor of wizard.
Oh and just a note to all, despite my dry messages I'm rarely ever upset. I just don't believe in putting a lot of "lol"s or emoticons in my typing.

Yes, and with my mage armor spell (which is a luxury to have cast) I'm still at 15, still a very poor number for level 7. Ideally I like to be a hundred feet above the fight and out of harms way, but in the last fight just a few more points to my AC would have done wonders.
*Deadpan*
Oh I am just seething.

GM DSP wrote:Thanks a lot GM DSP, I guess you read my mind because I am a sucker for skills in my characters :D Though gaining the Fencer trait would be really cool... Let me mull it over for a while, is that ok?
Erianna, for consistently and without reminders, posting your augmented stats at the start of each round, you may choose to allocate 5 additional skill points (normal rank cap still applies) or the FENCER trait.
I have been pondering this one for a while now.
How many opportunities does one get to gain a trait bonus - it is really good, and it synergizes well with Crane Riposte.
However... I am an extreme sucker for skills, so I haven't made my mind completely yet :D
I'll call on my compaions for advice - what say you?

Though you could take the skills, drop some into linguistics and become a virtual omniglot, what with there only being five campaign-relevant languages and you knowing one of them as well as being party face.

Man, Mortimer really is a dick. I'm getting in his head and he's approaching the situation almost inhumanely pragmatically. If like, the kraken comes to destroy our ship I'll throw some fireballs at it, but if the ship seems lost I'm going to grab as many party members as I can and just teleport the hell out of there. It's not even him being a coward, he's just a cold logic machine.

Well I play quite a wide array of wizards. I've played every kind of aligned wizard except LG and CE (I don't think a CN one either) but they usually all have human characteristics. Daina is passionate and protective of her friends, Tiasar is curious and talks too much for his own good, Ashtari is a nature lover and believes in the sanctity and freedom of life, but Mortimer is simply doing his job. When I run through his checklist, I have to actually include "Treat the slaves like human beings". Idk, it's just eerie to me.
