Keep List
+2 Tulwar
Ring of Protection +2
Amulet of Natural Armor +2
Cloak of Resistance +3
Belt of Dex & Con +2
Want List:
Erianna
+2 Tulwar
Ring of Protection +2
Amulet of Natural Armor +2
Cloak of Resistance +3
Belt of Dex & Con +2
Esther
Ring of Protection +2
Belt of Dex & Con +2
Erasmus
Belt of Dex & Con +2
Mortimer
Ring of Protection +2
Amulet of Natural Armor +2
Cloak of Resistance +3
My proposed solution
Erianna gets the Tulwar. Mortimer gets the Cloak of Resistance +3, gives his +2 cloak to Erianna, and Erianna gives her +1 cloak to Erasmus. Now Erasmus gives his +2 belt of dex to Esther and he gets the +2 belt of con/dex. Mortimer gets the Amulet of natural armor +2 and Esther gets the ring of protection +2.
Value of gear acquired
Erianna
+2 Tulwar=8025gp
Upgrade Cloak of Resistance from +1 to +2=4000-1000=3000
Total Gain=11025gp
Erasmus
Upgrade Belt from +2 dex to +2 con/dex=10000-4000=6000
Cloak of Resistance +1=1000
Total Gain=7000gp
Esther
Belt of Dex +2=4000
Ring of Protection +2=8000
Total Gain=12000gp
Mortimer
Upgrade Cloak of Resistance from +2 to +3=9000-4000=5000
Amulet of Natural Armor +2=8000
Total Gain=13000gp
Sell List
+1 Light Mithril Steel Shield of Bashing - 5009gp
+1 Armor (+6AC, 4 max dex, -1 ACP, Medium armor) - 1050gp
+2 Falchion - 8075gp
+1 Armored Kilt - 1020gp
Masterwork Scorpion Whip - 305gp
+3 Earthbreaker - 18040gp
Total Value=33500 (actual value is 33499, I rounded for simplicity)
If we assume the selling rate is 1/2 base price, then the total value of loot per person is 14943.75gp. That means if we sell all these items at half base price, Mortimer gets 1943.75gp, Erianna gets 3918.75gp, Esther gets 2943.75gp, and Erasmus gets 7943.75gp.
I suppose Erasmus took all of his stuff and his particularly large cut of the money with him, didn't he? Well that's unfortunate.
I can afford that change, although I'm certainly not going to be the wealthiest party member.
DM, what do you think about me changing the trait greater adept to magical lineage? Looking back on it, I'm not even sure I'm allowed to take that trait with a non-PFS character.
Cyrus, while I think persistent spell is a good metamagic, with spell focus and greater spell focus I don't think I should put any more effort towards making my spells hard to save against. A typical fireball will now be a DC 22, so the only characters that persistent spell would be better against are rogues with high reflex saves and evasion. Other than them some good old damage will be more effective.

On a side note, I think rime spell is a pretty decent metamagic considering I can tamper with the type of damage any evocation spell does.

Mortimer Talinth |

Ooh, 1000gp? I don't know...more specifically I don't know what I was thinking when I picked magical lineage in the first place. I could totally bankrupt myself down to 193.75gp for that. What does the group think? Worth it?
At level 8 I'll increase my my INT to 24, giving me a 7 bonus.

All done leveling.
+9 HP
+12 SP
+1 Bab
+1 Refl Save
Improved Uncanny Dodge
Wall Climber Talent

Esther Pennycoat |

Mortimer we did managed to sell all that loot at the "merchant" when we were in town last.
we each got our share of the cash and ester managed to buy herself an Efficient quiver (at the same guy)
ps: leveling is done.
Mortimer there are many many wizard option you could go for
Rim spell goes nicely with a Cone of Cold or a snowball.
Dazzing meta goes well with a scorcing ray or fireball
Toppling with magic missile
now if you need help i will contribute to 250 gp for your respect.

Erianna |

Well, Erianna has got some cash on her (about 6k), since she actually didn't buy anything with her share of the cash - any suggestions on what I could get? (What sort of items would be available, if any, GM DSP?) I feel like getting an Headband of Intellect :D (MOAR skills)
And WOHOOO! for leveling to 8.
Hit points 1: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Hit points 2: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
I am almost done leveling, and geeeeez, I still don't have 2 attacks per round (3/2 progression HURTS!):/
Mortimer, I think you definitely should take Magical Lineage, and Spell Focus Evocation, and... A Lesser Rod of Empower Spell ;)

Mortimer Talinth |

I'm going to take Protection from Energy, Communal as one of my next spells so I can use Elemental Manipulation to make the party immune from just about any type of elemental damage.
However, I'm not sure what to take for my other spell. I'm toying with Dragon's Breath, but I'm not sure.
Edit: Average damage of my empowered fireball is now 46 with a DC 23 reflex save. Damnnn.

Mortimer Talinth |

+4 from intense spells, which adds 1/2 my wizard level to damage for evocation spells.
Dragon's Breath seems really cool and gives me the versatility of different kinds of area effects, but I don't benefit from the various elements as much as other wizards since I already tamper with the elements of spells.
I'm still pretty stuck on what other 4th level spell to take.

Cyrus Darkwater |

Not sure which schools are your prohibited but...
-Summon is always good.
-Ball Lightning is Damage per round as a move action. If you had Rime Spell it would be even better.
-Stone Shape is good but doesn't seem like your thing
-I would say Wall of Fire but you should have your 8th level ability that copys that one.

Cyrus Darkwater |

Morty seems pretty adamant about going through with his plan so I think we can move this along?

Cyrus Darkwater |

Morty is gonna do something flashy to get himself in trouble. Then try and get recruted by a specific group of bad guys. Not exactly sure what the rest of us are doing though.

Mortimer Talinth |

Spreading the word would be great. You're all good liars, so coming up with a "He was one of us, but then betrayed us" would certainly stir up some interest.
First things first, I am going to try to research the merciful shocking grasp want Cyrus showed me in an attempt to make scrolls of merciful spells. GM, let me know if this is possible and how much money it will cost. I would prefer not to throw real lethal fireballs around. I will also be letting the Commodore know our plans so that the paperwork for Mortimer going rogue can be pushed through and also so that the government knows I'm not actually going rogue.
Bladed dash is great for maneuverability, the damage isn't great but it's still there. Cat's Grace for simple buffing. Codespeak could be useful considering the subterfuge edge to this game. There's always invisibility. Pyrotechnics is really good if used right. Silence to screw up casters.

Cyrus Darkwater |

Merciful Rod is only 1500g

[dice=Hit points 1]d8+3
[dice=Hit points 2]d8+3I am almost done leveling, and geeeeez, I still don't have 2 attacks per round (3/2 progression HURTS!):/

I COULD easily loan you 500 gold. But since you ignored my request for input here... I don't know...
And DANG, I completely forgot about Invisibility - think I will take that one - just too good to pass. So you have redeemed yourself Mortimer... Very well, I will loan you 500 gold :D

Cyrus Darkwater |

If nothing else I can go as high as 750g, that would leave me with only 50g remaining though.

Ok. I'll post in a little bit. I'm trying to work out a map and response times and tactics from the troops. These are highly trained soldiers after all.
In the meantime, Mortimer, go ahead and start you "desertion" and the others can start reacting.
Map updated. (but we may just approximate this one since the city is so big.)
Tell me where you'd like to start your escape from and to where you are fleeing.
