Zillyanna, for some reason the board doesn't allow me to send you PMs can you drop me a message, so maybe I can respond. Or otherwise give me an email to send the link to?
Or I suppose you could also give me your roll20 accound data and i will manually invite you.
Zillyanna Duskwood |
Couldn't PM you for some reason...My roll20 is this one:
https://app.roll20.net/users/634627/wilken
Also, sorry for the small/low quality posts everyone, have been studying for an important test, things will get better after this sunday.

Great! I prepared a map with all your tokens on it (the one for atlas is of course just temporary until the reveal)
i will send you the invite link by PM just to be sure.
So go ahead and sign in, so I can assign your tokens to you. In the meantime I will try to figure out which link I need to put at the top of the page.
Edit: Once you've used the link in the PM, try this one: Link. I hope this is the correct one.
Could someone please confirm whether this link takes you to the Roll20 campaign page?

Our goal is not to get into a fight - our goal is to get the church people behind the walls of the castle and safe. Might I also say that I am out of healing spells and am running at half hit points? If there is a fight and there is a bit of unluckiness then we ALSO have to haul characters bodies out.
I am not sure on this fixation with fighting everyone, is it meant to be like 1st Ed AD&D or BECMI where you had to kill everything just to level?
Hutch Calrin |
I feel like we completed our job. Hutch just wants to pull frilly out of this alive. Honestly, I feel like we need some down time, or better yet a chance to get a range weapon of two. Maybe figure out who our new ally is :P but I need to pull Frilly out first. Have to say the reputation of the Chill, as my uniform is mostly visible, should help me and Venali out of this. Then again, Hutch could probably take on two of them. Maybe three at most. Hopefully Venali can take on a decent amount aswell, if it comes to combat.
Venali Auondril |
I think you might be confusing what I did...
I doubled back, telling you guys to get them to the secret entrance, then came up to the cultist and the mercenaries to tell them to head to the temple. Which, it seems they were about to do so before Hutch ran up and told them everyone was wisked away by the non-existant wizard.
I wasn't trying to get into a fight, I was sending them off on a fool's errand to the temple to make the way clear for you guys to get the villagers to safety... I have no plan on fighting anyone. I just wanted them out of the way.
Honestly, I feel you didn't need to try and "rescue" me or "pull me out of this alive". Things were going fine.
This is what I was under the impression of how things were going. The circled area with the ? is where I assumed the cultist and the mercenaries were.
Hutch Calrin |
I WAS RIGHT :P
Can't imagine how things are going to go now, but Hutch truly believed she died. Though i must say this will be fun to see, though I don't think there is any chance of redemption for Hutch at this point.
Hutch Calrin |
If I may though, I was writing Hutches entrance when I checked my phone for any updates, and spent a good while trying to figure out how Hutch would react to this.... Enjoy.
Hutch Calrin |
*puts salt on Zillyanna's popcorn*
Who said anything about redemption?
I didn't choose the handle "Payn" at random. ];-D
So are we in agreement the only way this can end is with a bloody swath of enemies along the sword coast? All of them dead, or will this end with one of us dead. I suppose only time will tell.
Though I do feel like Zillyanna isn't fully prepared for what will happen *glances at that Chaotic Good Alignment* Then again, hutch would enjoy battling a god just to vent his rage.
@GM Threeshades- So... How many cultists are here, and how many are you ready to die...

Now that the cat's out of the bag, I can dish. =)
This was my initial idea during Recruitment. I started out thinking "I'd like to play a Tiefling Warlock" and after I read Hutch's backstory, it all fell into place from there, and when I pitched it to Threeshades she wholeheartedly endorsed it. The plan was that the adventure would go on, the group would bond some, and then we could have a Big Reveal. =)
Of course, to do this I had to wait until (at least) one of the initially selected PCs dropped, so I had no idea what the circumstances would be, or the time frame involved. =) (I was also risking that Hutch wouldn't be the one to drop. But it looks like everything worked out...so far!)

It was brilliant actually. Granted from an rp perspective you know basically have a living weapon. I did enjoy that scene there, though I think Hutch now wants to cut a bloody line through the sword coast to this Borak guy. I do hope he comes up just to see what happens. An oath breaker versus, if I read your back story correctly, an orc.
Then again I've if I read your back story correctly im hopping you don't murder Hutch :p
I do wonder how we will take on this dragon ooc. In character I'm sure if asked by Sophie or the Mayor Hutch will try to rush at it, but that's him.
Hutch Calrin |
I'm gonna just assume we take the hour despite Hutch and Sophie's protests. Hutch wouldn't want to push you to death despite his desire to remove the pests invading and to go charging after Borak.
I do think that i may need to rewrite hutches bind to murder the Chill and Borak. In addition I do think that we would start calling himself a member of a non existent mercenary group (Maybe the Drake head) just because he is used to being in an organization.
Hutch Calrin |
Wait, why is Hutch shirtless??? =)
He had his Chill uniform on under his chainmail. Since it is both red and a chill uniform he took it off and tossed it on the floor in disgust.
Evendur "Grim" Greymantle |
I think Hutch needs to invest in a gambeson - a padded defensive jacket, worn as armour separately, or worn under mail.
Hutch Calrin |
Probably. Preferably in a color that will show the blood of my enemies. Although, if I try to go with Hutch trying to maintain some sense of reality after Sophie's return, maybe I should actually take the time to come up with a sigil for him.
Did a bit of research and haven't found anything about a Mercenary group that has to do with Drakes, so maybe the Drake's Head Mercenary could be a thing.

Hee.
The US Army 14th Infantry Regiment is called "The Golden Dragons", has fought in every major war worth fighting, and use a dragon on their heraldry. =)

That is Awesome. *jots down notes*
Just to check @GM Threeshades is it ok if I have Hutch come up with some kind of symbol for himself?
GM Threeshades |
So with Venali potentially gone we're down to four PCs. Should I get some new people in or continue at 4?

Of course, go for it.

So I am updating Hutch's bond after Sophie came back to this.
This may have been the best twist ever so seriously, you guys are awesome
Bond: The Chill hurt my wife, and kept me in the dark. I will see them burn for what they did.

About how long have we been in the town as of right now? Like 2 hours?
Also, I didn't mention it in the post I rolled the short rest but I'd like to go ahead and use arcane recovery to get back a spell slot. I'll play it out in character when I have time (when I get home from work).
