Rolando smiles and sings a fast-paced song, and the spirits of the honored dead rise up to join you in battle!
Standard: Start a weapon song. Everyone gets a +1 weapon for all of their weapons. Amiri, I'll give you frost on your sword (since it's already magical) and Jirelle, I'll give you Keen. 15-20 threat range? Nuts! Also, everyone can make a slam attack with the spirits. It targets an adjacent living opponent and can't benefit from flanking or anything. The to-hit number is 3 + whatever your character's base attack is. The damage is 1d4 + 3.
Move: Into the room.
Effects--Flagbearer: +1 morale to attacks, weapon damage, and saves vs fear, charm, compulsion. Weapon Song: Everyone gets a +1 weapon, except Amiri who adds frost and Jirelle who adds keen. Lesser Spirit Totem--everyone gets an extra melee attack with the spirits.
GM, since my init was actually first, can Amiri make an attack with the spirit? If not, I understand.

Rolando. I will give it this time since no one had a clue what you could do with your buffs..
Amiri, Go ahead and make the rolls for that this turn.

The tengu pulls back a bit so theoretically the 'top' snake moves towards him, opening up the target so Jirelle can get a crack at it as well. If it should drop before that happens, all the better.

Looking squeamish for a second, Yoon spreads her arms wide. The fire in her hand vanishes for a split second before a loud roar and flames envelop her body.
"Blue is like water, which should be burned away!" shouts the child as she shoots fire at the blue snake!

Well, now it looks like I want one of these..... Free action to pop the light, move action to Gather Power to negate burn, standard action to use Burning Infusion Blast

Generic Pregen |

The downside of Yoon is a max of one burn. (I used Yoon the other day in a RL game.)
Also, If I understand the pregen sheet correctly, you can get a bonus to hit and damage when you burn (even though the cost is reduced by Gather Power) ... or maybe I'm understanding it incorrectly, and maybe that's only if there is burn *after* the reduced cost of Gather. (Something for me to take to the rules questions thread I guess. Anyhoo, yes, Yoon is fun.

Actually, after rereading the infusion's descriptor, I made a mistake. The attack would be a 23 to hit, not a 25. As for burn, Yoon can use it six times a day, but it's going to hurt without being nullified, which is why Gather Power works out so nicely. If she keeps a point of burn, that is when the power creep starts, as that point of burn keeps the Elemental Overflow active until she rests, and setting things on fire with the burning infusion makes it easier to hit things overall.

One point of burn for 4 non lethal that can't be negated without a full 8 hours rest. Elemental Overflow is now in effect!

LOL. Thank you, Rolando.

GM DevilDoc |

Amiri steps up and tries to slay the snake with a powerful blow, but the writhing thing just barely moves out of the way.
Rolando manages to slice another small gash on the snake, before Karasuma manages to finish it off.
Yoon, you can have back whatever charges or consumables you spent on that last attack, and remove the 4 pts nonlethal.
As the last snake falls, they both evaporate into nothingness, leaving the party on the bridge. Before you is a door, at the end of the bridge is a lever, and 20' below you is a cross corridor. What next?

"Let's push the lever before we cross this door, what do you think?"

GM DevilDoc |

You find no traps or anything suspicious about the lever. It is a lever, and if pulled, it will do whatever it is meant to do.

![]() |

While everyone else is looking at the nifty lever, Karasuma is looking at the door, attempting to discover means of opening it.
While it is tempting to think that the lever does the trick, there's also the concern that the party will be split if the lever makes that bridge spin to another location.
Perception(+1 for Traps)on door: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

Amiri pulls the lever.

GM DevilDoc |

There are no traps on the door, and there is a simple handle that allows the door to be opened.
When Amiri pulls the lever, there is an extremely loud rumbling and grinding as the bridge begins to slowly turn and descend. The bridge corkscrews downwards until it is at the level of the cross tunnel.
The bridge is now the yellow lines, and I have moved everyone that was on the bridge. These people are now 20' below Amiri and Karasuma, who remained on the ledge by the door.

Karasuma just *stares* at Amiri. "..."

Generic Member of the Society |

Alrighty, I'll take of the burn!
Yoon looks up at Amiri and Karasuma, waving as she lowers down. "Bye bye! Maybe we find a way to get you both here?" She looks at the others, trying to think of a plan.

![]() |

"Are you SURE you want me to do that?" The tengu seems unsure. Too many variables, not enough information, this could kill someone in our group if it doesn't work right.

![]() |

Yes, pull it. Unless you want to go back to the Grand Lodge empty-handed.
I found no traps with a 28. I'm reasonably certain that if you pull the lever it will raise us back to you.

![]() |

Karasuma pulls the lever. "If I've condemned you to a death by falling, I'm REALLY SORRY, GUYS! We'll get you out somehow!"

GM DevilDoc |

Karasuma pulls the lever, and once again, a great rumbling fills the air as the bridge slowly returns to the top level.

![]() |

The tengu lets out a slight sigh of relief when the bridge comes back up, but is still watching it nervously.
"I'm of two minds on this. First thought says this is the top level, work our way down. Second thought is 'work our way up'. I'm a bit conflicted."

![]() |

Alright, let's try the lower level first, Rolando says. He ties a rope around the lever.
Everyone on the bridge, now. You too, he commands the unseen servant.
When everyone is on the bridge, the Taldan pulls the rope to the side to switch the lever over.
This way, if need be, we can have one person climb the rope and flip the lever to bring the rest of us back up quickly.

GM DevilDoc |

That's two for down and one undecided. I will give it some more time to let some others weigh in with an opinion.

![]() |

Amiri laughs a lot with the situation she created when pulled the lever.
"Sorry, guys! I'm kind of impulsive, you know? I'm with you, let's check the lower level first."
Then she goes to the bridge.
