As Jirelle looks into the room, the only thing of note is a giant Geode filled with green crystals. the party recognizes this unique material as Noqual, a special material that when prepared properly can reduce or defeat magic.

Unless someone has a pick or chisel and hammer.. Using improvised tools, the party is able to chip out enough crystals for everyone to take a share in about an hour. While packing up their loot, Amiri feels the burning from her bite begin to take hold.

@Rolando, I know re the -1 vs -2. But a) Jirelle has odd-numbered skills, so the -2 is more technically correct despite the simpler application of -2 attr => -1 on checks the speed rule advises, and b) -2 is what I clarified with GM earlier, so I didn't feel the need to change the deal.

Karasuma heads to the next door on the proposed itinerary, barring any complaints after recovering a significant amount of the starmetal. He's not hoarding by any means, though. We all win on this one, hopefully.

Amiri: no, it is just the -1 right now. the penalty doesnt take affect until one hour after the bite, and thats about how long it took everyone to chip out some noqual.. If yall rest again, you will get another save, and possibly take another -1, but we can deal with that later/ at the end of the scenario.

Moving across the hallway, the party checks the door for traps, but as far as they can tell, there is nothing. Once the Unseen Servant opens the door, a T shaped hall is revealed. A sinister statue looms in an alcove to the east. The thing is ten feet tall with a human body, but with the head of a deformed, fanged bird and two coiling serpents for legs. The statue clutches a flail in one hand, and holds a large, open book in the other. Two short hallways lead to either side of the statue, both ending in solid doors.

Ochre jellies are animate masses of protoplasm hued a sickly combination of yellow, orange, and brown. At rest, their f lat, pulsing bodies stand roughly 6 inches tall and can stretch out to a wide diameter— in motion, they often ball up into quivering spherical shapes and almost seem to roll as they move. Their malleable bodies allow them to seep through cracks and holes far smaller than the space they fill. Creatures dwelling below ground often attempt to seal up any such cracks to fortify their lairs against ochre jellies.

Immune to electricity, mind-affecting effects, ooze traits, slashing and piercing damage. They can also split into smaller pieces if hit by slashing, piercing, or electrical attacks. They also secrete an acid that can cause damage when it comes into contact with flesh, but bones are immune.

I know, but I still like rolling them, because I like to see if I am able to make the roll. I generally don't get to confirm on crits.
