+4 is better than +3. :) But it's still in the 'stepping in it' zone of Diplomacy, where if you roll, you might roll 1=5=bad, and you can't take 10 for success. I'll make a table of skills after I update my avatar, this evening sometime.

Arean isn't in party 2. Currently party 2 is Kariel, Tassira, Krag, Vigar, Marrovak and I.

In our group, it would probably be Tassira. She has excellent bluff and diplomacy skills and is the daughter of Ancona (Same as Arean) with plenty of knowledge to back it up. The only problem is that she is written as shy. Alternatively Kariel also has the skills, with intimidate instead on bluff and also has a better Sense Motive. The two together makes for a good party face.

We are collectively The Twelve, so our team should be The Better 6 :P

Yeah, my stealth and ride with begin to climb significantly soon.

Once I start getting Armor Training, Masterwork Armor, and then Mithral Masterwork, they should be going up 2/level or so...and if I doff the metal, I'm significantly better at the sneaky sneaks.

You warriors could theoretically make use of Arean's Armor Coat, which is 4 AC for a move action to put on and take off. If you had need of such. Arean has it because a friend insisted she have armor 'in case', and she won't see trouble coming early enough to actually wear armor. She's a little naive about violence.

The other party arrived on the Goldend Priness around 9:00 am a couple of hours before your group by my judgement, depending on what they do we may have to merge the gameplay threads again for a while,... this is what happens with sandbox play, Krag rolled to see if he knew any of the ship Captains and given what I know of the ships backgrounds, the only Captain who Krag had any chance of knowing was the one whose ship was going to where you what to go, so they went aboard to talk to her ... (now banging head against desk)

Isdi Maridun, the Captain's daughter is 13 and she's the first mchawiwalinzi, wizard/warrior, born to the Maridun since the End of the Great war. By Maridun Arean tradition must choose a personal guard of five called a Hand, before she can claim the throne. The first choice to go into a Hand must be a mchawiwalinzi, and the Captain only knows of one her daughter Isdi.

So, folks, what do you think about the adventure so far?

Honestly I thought it was too much at first, specially since the party was so large and there were backgrounds jumping in all the time, along with behaviors, name family and dogs, but now it has calmed down, so I'm starting to get the information flowing on my head

We have an objective, secondary things to look upon, and one major worry: do not get caught.

What are your impressions?

Getting "jumped in" like that is a bit unsettling, but its a great way to tie the pc's into the story right away.

Are there differences between the normal currencies and the ones here? what's "ep"?


EP is a hold over you'll see in some older adventures (generally pre 3rd edition D&D) it stands for electrum piece. An electrum coin is a mixture of gold and silver and has a standard value of 1/2 a gold coin.

Sorry for not posting this weekend very soon this is going to become map heavy and I was trying to find a way to do maps that could be updated easily. On the campaign tab I put a link to the campaign I created on rolld20. If I've done everything right you should be able to log in and see the map I've selected as the current player map.

The map for this adventure is done mostly in 10 feet per squre scale. Because of some technical difficulities I've been having in getting an entire level at the 5 feet scale, we'll do exploration on the 10 feet map and when we go to combat I'll upload a tactical map of the room or area you are fighing in. I think you all have to be signed up for the campaign before I can give permission for you to move the tokens.
