Since he was discovered, Marrovak has been trained in the Empire's Scout Legion, eventually becoming known as the "Wolf Berserker" because of his skill in tracking and fighting. As a hobby, he goes out into the forest and collects plants for his exotic garden. He also crafts specialized weaponry, like his specialized tusk coverings, in his off-time.

Marrovak was discovered in one of the deep forests of the Empire by a low-ranking scout. At the time, he was wrestling with his Pack Brother, Chalimar. The scout attempted to fend the wolf away, believing the wolf was trying to kill Marrovak, but Marrovak bit him on the arm when he got near. The scout, not understanding, forcefully pulled Marrovak out of his brother's grasp. Chalimar tracked them back to the scout outpost, and lept into the gunnysack with Marrovak. The scout left the wolf there, giving up.
Marrovak was just 4 years old then, but he still remembers everything about life in the pack. Everything there was about strength and prowess - and that's how he keeps it now with Chalimar - but in the Imperial Army, everything is about status and social guile - neither of which Marrovak, a socially unaware feral child, have. And so, Marrovak has remained as a low-ranked scout his whole life.
However, his love of combat and prowess in tracking - "the Hunt", he calls it - has earned him a great reputation as the "Wolf Berserker" among the other soldiers and even some higher-ups, known for biting at his enemies with his huge teeth in the fury of combat.
Despite all the adulation, Marrovak has never felt at home in the barracks. That's why, when a letter in thankfully simple writing came for him, with directions to a tavern far away, he and Chalimar ran out, hoping to eventually find a way back to the Pack.
