Casting: When casting a spell defensivly if you fail you do not automaticly lose the spell, rather you provoke an attack as you normally would for not casting defensive. If you are hit you must make a concentration check dc 10+damage taken if you fail this check you lose the spell.

Rolls:
Many rolls will be handled by the GM in secret.(don't worry, I don't fudge.)
Any result that can influence the character behavior will not be rolled open.
Rolls that will be handled by the GM:
Perception
Sense Motive.

if you make the check I will send you a pm or make a post and put it in a spoiler depending on the situation.

Sometimes I will roll Initiative others I will ask you to roll depending on the situation. In some situation (rarely) I will bypass init entirely and have you all go first and enemies second or have enemies go first and you all go after.

Combat rules:
I'm a fair GM, I dont roll combat in secret, I don't change results, I don't ignore bad calls from the characters.
Sometimes, character dies, but I'm not a player killer, if I think that an encounter will be easy handled, when it should be more challenging, I will make it a more challenging, if the party it's not prepared to face something, I will drop hints, if they insist... well killing one or two players never made me lack sleep...

Actions:
I'm a GM that do not punish the character for trying something new or cool, or even strange. Visual appealing actions are encouraged, the dc will of course depend on what are you trying, but you can try! If what you want to do is wicked cool, I can even bend the game mechanics to allow it! The most importat part is: You are villains. Villains are smart, resourceful and have style! Have you ever seen a memorable villain that could just swing his sword and do nothing more?

Posting Rate
If it could be done, I expect 1/day posting, if you can post more, it will really good.
During weekend, this rule does not apply. If you are able to post, great! But dont stress over this, everyone need some time to rest (In my case, I need time to play and DM :D on my tabletop games).

Level up
Aside from character creation, when you level up, if you want something not from core rulebook, you'll need to search it inside the game. basicly what you need to do is just show in game your character is searching for that knowledge. This rule is not meant to prohibit anything, I just don't like something like this: "Character always as a full caster, never picked up a sword in his entire life, and then he gain a new level and says: Master, I'll level up as a fighter now..."

Given that the others are working the cultist, Raven changes targets to the captain. Moving to G3 in order to get a better shot, she nocks an arrow and fires into the melee, hoping to strike the target.

Raven Arrow, PB, into melee: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 1 - 4 = 16
Damage, PB: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Orlando despite being a bit shaken by the cold stare of the cultist captain manages to still nick her putting a cut on her arm.

Selka follows up taking another stab at the armored cultist but misses.
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 121d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

The armored cultist grabs his weapon arms and makes a wide swing targeting both Aeron and Tessai (cleave) but both manage to avoid the desperate attack.

The spiritual weapon attacking Raven disapears and the other attacks Orlando.

The captain's injuries seem to be healing already, the cut Orlando made is almost gone (fast healing 2). She attacks Orlando using her Glaive but he avoids the attack.

Seeing the blow from Aeron fell the cultist, Raven drops her bow, and rushes the armored captain, trying to grapple her into submission.

"Perhaps, we can take this one alive, and find out about this cult!"

"She deserved it" - Tessai nods at Aeron with a grim look - "There is definitely a link here to what has happened in Kenabres... She said it herself - her comrades - we need to understand what that link is, and move to the surface as fast as possible friends"

She then summons a minor magic effect to increase her sensitivity to magic, to assist her in the search of the corpse, kneeling down next to it to look for both clues and valuables.

Varn nods at Aeron as the large human walks past him. "Trouble yourself not with her demise. She chose her own fate." The elven wizard is very interested in the wand the cultist had used and therefore walks over to her body and immediately begins to search her corpse for any valuables...

The elf's demeanor may appear cold and detached to the human's very recent demise; however, his thoughts become readily apparent when he speaks as he searches the body. "Let us not forget, these cultists are the very reason Kenabres, which is home to some of us, is burning at this very moment. Our families and friends being slaughtered by demons. I have nothing but utter hatred for these fiends."

Magical gear:
-Her glaive is masterwork and magical
-2 unknown wands (one is spiritual weapon obviously)
-2 unknown potions.

Also:

-2 flask of alchemist fire.
-1 vial of antitoxin.
-She wears a golden key on a necklace around her neck.
-She has a masterwork chainshirt.
-You find a folded piece of paper in her pocket.

The note:

Hosilla,
You will remain, for the time being, in

suffice to keep you safe from the devastation

interest to us, you are to return to my side.
Excellent news regarding the salvage of

be quite useful once we corrupt it. Before you
leave for Drezen, stop by the three safe houses

Is anyone tracking our loot and gear finds? I thought old Varn was, but since he checked out, wonder if we have a list? I can go back through and try if you like.

"Because Kando Nyserian is a business partner of Horgus and he didn't want to say anything that would implicate him with the cultist, isn't that right Horgus?"

Horgus glares at Aravashial. "I wasn't going to say anything until I had investigated Kando myself, using my own resources. If he was working with the cultist I would have turned him in of course but we don't need to go trowing about more false accusations now do we? Do you read the note out loud? I have so far assumed that you haven't and that the npc are not aware of it's content.

Yaniel’s sword? Knowledge history dc 15:

During the Fourth Crusade, a paladin of Iomedae and renowned demon slayer named Yaniel spoke out against the Mendevian crusaders, accusing them of negligence and sloth, and claiming these faults were what allowed Khorramzadeh to invade Kenabres and damage the wardstone. Her accusations cut too close to the truth, and in a moment of weakness her superiors threatened to excommunicate her. Instead, she said she would enter the Worldwound and fight the Fourth Crusade on her own, with only her magic sword Radiance for company. The church was happy to see Yaniel go, she was thought to have been slain. Yet when she returned to Kenabres 2 years later, leading a small army of crusaders she'd rescued, both Yaniel and her superiors had changed. For her part, Yaniel had shed her pride and insubordination, and had gained a new appreciation for the difficult decisions leaders are forced to make. And the church leaders had learned that sometimes the truth is exactly what you need to hear. Alas, Yaniel was assassinated before the year was out, slain by the lilitu demon Minagho only a week into her second personal crusade. Her followers managed to return to Kenabres with Radiance, but Yaniel's body had been taken. The sword had gone dark after Yaniel's death, its magical powers apparently lost, and so the crusaders elected to place it in the Gray Garrison reliquary on display.

What is Drezen? knowledge history dc 25:

Founded as a city-fortress during the hubris of the First Mendevian Crusade, Drezen was overtaken by the demonic hordes of the Worldwound ] now it stands as a demonic monument to the foolish naivety of those early crusaders. Drezen was overwhelmed in 4638 AR, a wave of raw chaos washed over the city turning most of its citizens into hideous beast-men creatures who turned on each other in a wave of cannibalistic fury. After the slaughter finally stopped the corpse were taken from the city then into the ice cliffs that mark the Crown of the World, from these corpses arose the foul winter wraiths who are capable of freezing a man dead with but a touch
