So why did i choose 8 instead of sticking with the 6?

Because you are starting out in a city with a population of around 20,000. While you are not the only ones to have resisted the strange scourage that plagued the night, you are the lucky few. You are the 0.3% that survived from natural resistance. thats 60 people who survived, out of 20,000

This opening sequence will be brutal, bloody, and deadly. You have no idea what is going on, your seperated from your gear, and you know that you have a better chance of surviving this IF you make it out of the city.

Khron is tougher than nails and has no intention of leaving anybody behind if he doesn't have to. He may not LIKE you, but he'll fistfight a zombie to keep you from getting eaten.

I am ready! And when I get home from class, the /tg/ drawfriend who I got to draw a picture of Khron should have finished the picture, meaning this little dwarven ball of steel and hate will be, too!


Jacob is all ready to...well, first he needs something for his hangover! Question through, which side of the debate are you on in the issue of Eidolons keeping their gear when unsummoned, or do they need to re-equip each time they are de-summoned and re-summoned? Either way works, but wanting to be ready.
And I'll get an alias set up when I get home from work.

So I think my big, number one question is exactly what we start off with.

I mean, the average joe probably doesn't wander around with a backpack full of camping equipment and food, but maybe a dagger or a walking stick might be pretty common. Or even just a club (read: improvised blunt object) that our characters found laying around when we realized what was happening.

I mean, a full suit of armor or whatever might be something we find later on, but nobody's just lounging around in one. :)

Well We were in an inn, in a major friendly city. So most likely no armor, perhaps leather/padded but unlikely heavier. Likely checked any 2h or militaryish weapons were checked on the way in and are downstairs. Not sure how low this tavern is. If they have their own silverware then we might have nothing at all. If it is lower class then we might be expected to use our daggers as eating knives and so might still have them. Good arguments either way though.

The way I see it, you all had already checked into your rooms and had left the heavy gear, weapons, and equipment that you wouldnt have in the common room.

So any armor is off. Ill allow padded armor to be worn.
Any 2 handed weapons, shields, are locked your room.
Swords, maces, and daggers are equiped.
Gold is on you.
Equipment: in your room.

Your current location is in the attic.

Once everyone has signed in, ill post the first game posting

Okay, explains a lot. so maybe he'd have his waraxe, but very little else, while his gear would be in his room. Should I go ahead and figure out what gear he would have in his room, or are we unlikely to even have time to worry about getting our stuff?

Still curious about Eidolons gear? He'd probably be dismissed at night, or possibly stayed around with a Drunk summoner? If was dimissed, will he be summoned with or without gear?

He was dismissed. Ill say that the gear stays behind, forcing you to carry it.
That equip would be in your room.

Shallowsoul, your spellbook is in your room. Well say that you stepped out into the common room on your way to the latrine next to the stables.

As for your shotgun and chainsaw, they were with jack when he left town. So your stuck with sh1t :)


So Eamch has probably has a few coins in his pocket, a dagger at his waist and everything else in his room. I can work with that.

How about something like this?

And some of the more common conventions I've seen used are:

"Character speaking!"

Character thinking...

Description of character actions, both descriptive and in game terms.

Player talking out of character, or an update on status.

For example:

"We've got to get across to that other building!" Eamch shouted. If we don't make it, we're dead. he added silently. In a burst of action, the half-orc rogue takes advantage of the few feet of running start and leaps.

Horizontal jump, landing in square E9, acrobatics 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11.

Status: nauseated, longstrider.

um minor quibble but putting HP on the status line makes spells like deathwatch and status far less valuable. My 2cp.

Are you going to make a separate Alias for Fritz? I mean he can talk and all so it might be a plan. A summoner in a Carrion Crown game I am in did this and it has worked well.

It's basically what he would have on him for a night on the town. Figure last night's assignation was either quick or unsuccessful so Alfie returned home.
