Long week at work including today. I will update either early in the morning or in the evening tomorrow. But tomorrow for sure. The long hours were good though as I am now caught up and can actually start to post regularly again. To say the least I did not realize how backed up I was at work till I returned to the office!

Not sure yet. Likely I would tell any potential new player that they would not be able to get into the game until this chapter was complete. It may not seem like it but you are all close to the end of the chapter now that you have the Hutt's bodyguard.

I dunno if people will see this at all, but I've noticed that both myself and some other players in games I'm running have lost their dots on... pretty much every game they're in. I'm not sure why it happened, but I recommend checking all the games you're in and potentially shooting a message to your players if you don't hear from them at all. I figured I'd throw this out there to make people aware if they missed this or something like that.
I lost mine too, but they seem to be back again today.

How much can I use my Sith sword for, in terms of lightsaber abilities? I know that by base it lets me Block and Deflect, but any chance you'd let it be used for more than that? In particular, being able to use my lightsaber form powers with it would be very helpful. I'd love to have it apply as far as Weapon Finesse and the Ataru talent, but I'm guessing that's a no-go (which makes sense).

This character is a Scout with Benefits... Like force sensitivity and Martial arts.
I was actually thinking more in terms of "role within the Sith Empire" as opposed to mechanical facets. For instance, where Noss and Taras are both Sith, Praxis was a Dark Side assassin - not a Sith, but still a Force-sensitive, Dark Side force wielder.
Cardis is built as more of a Tarkin analog, someone who can handle the political side of things as well as provide support for the Sith he is assigned to work with. His end goal is to, like Tarkin, be granted his own secret research facility to construct new and terrifying super weapons, returning the Tarkin Doctrine to the galaxy, and crushing those who rebel against or don't bow to the Sith.
So, what would Daria's role within the Empire be?
