AJTD1: "AJ" tutoring droid 1 |

"Now is not the time for training and tests. I am looking for landing options and suggestions."
AJTD1 starts his holorecorder....
....An image of master Yoda comes into being in the old temple of the Jedi...
"Welcome to the palace of the Jedi! Brave you must be, a great challenge have you."-Yoda holorecording
"Focus on where you are! What you are doing!"

Gunnar Vryce |

oooooh snap!
Gunnar nods.
"You are correct. Wearing a lightsaber openly in public would be quite unwise. Which is why I only do it on the military vessel where I am a lieutenant commander and everyone knows who and what I am already."
Gunnar took the hand proffered by Quen.
"I'm glad to meet you, Master Pah. You surely have some stories to tell of that time! I wish we Jedi did not face such trying times again. Look, let's just forget this all happened and start over, as brother Jedi. There are so few of us left, we can't afford any hostility. AJ, I have some suggestions for landing. We could hit the capital, Tel Bollin, and it would be easier to find who we're looking for, but the ship would be vulnerable to theft. Alternatively we could land out in the wilderness, which would leave the ship safe but make our task more difficult. There's also a trading post, which would be...somewhat in between those two options. I'd hear your thoughts, friends."

Caleb·Rook |

"Good point. I'm hoping it won't come to violence, though."
Caleb wiggles his fingers in a comic manner implying that someone could manipulate others by the force. Of course the Jedi didn’t plan to do such a thing, but he was in the mood to tease the newcomer that he still didn’t trust.
When the ship starts to shake due to landing protocols, Caleb quickly finds a somewhat safe and stable spot to move to.
He had, of course heard the legends about Jedi’s landing a half destroyed enemy carrier after rescuing the chancellor and driving off the enemy general. Such things were legends, of course. So instead of hoping for such daring entrance, he focus on clearing his mind to adapt to any possible adverbial situation AJ landing might cause.
Let’s assume Caleb was used to those smooth landing, and that 3 in the dice is certain to cause some trepidation!

Endregaard - Day 1
As AJTD1 begins his descent a crosswind batters the the Shadowfire unexpectedly. However, the expert Pilot is able to settle the ship down with little trouble roughly a half mile from the Outpost.
AJTD1 disables the vessel and you all disembark. The air here seems fine though it is a bit warm and dry planet side. After a brisk walk you find yourselves at the edge of the Outpost which consists of 10 buildings. You see nor hear anything but the wind.

Wisdom Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
"I'd be on guard. I remember the outposts being reported as extremely dangerous."
Gunnar finds a garage that, after a quick glance to see they are not observed, he forces open telekinetically. Inside he finds a repusorlift.
"I'm not really mechanically inclined but if one of you could get this working I think it would be quite helpful!"
Gunnar leaves the repulsorlift and finds a holonet console. He downloads the map to his data pad and informs the group of his discovery.

Quen Pah |

1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23 Perception
The counselor will shake his head in sadness at the death that has taken place here, thinking back to himself about his experience in the Clone Wars and the Dark Times. Seeing that Gunnar has found a repulsor lift he will suggest that the droid take a look at it. AJ, look at the machine please, and if possible get it running.

Endregaard - Day 1
ATDJ1 based on your assessment of the condition of the transport you will be able to get it operational though it will take the better part of this day to do so leaving you all to either: (1) travel by night or (2) wait until the next morning to travel to the capital city.

Caleb·Rook |

Pulling out his blaster, Caleb makes a point of re-searching all the structures for any secret compartment or passage. No sense in risk being taken by surprise.
While AJ works in the repair he suggests. ”Quen, you say with the AJ while me and Gunnar make some rounds.” What Caleb wants to know is if someone has been travelling here recently and if there’s a trail, which direction it leads.
Not sure which test to perform, so I’m just gonna roll a Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13, wow! I see the entire world!

Endregaard - Evening 1
The Jedi trace and re-trace their steps through the outpost. They are quite sure that the place is abandoned and any wild animals nearby are scavengers who pose little danger to this group.
If you have to fail a Perception check Caleb that was the one to fail!
Once the Jedi return, AJTD1 has completed the repairs on the cargo transport. The group uses it to return to the ship and stay there overnight.
Endregaard - Day 2
The evening passes by uneventfully, the scanners of the ship pick up some small life forms roaming around but nothing that caused any harm.
Do you load the spice and head to Tel Bollin in the morning?

Gamemaster the Light Side |

Endregaard - Day 2
The Droids pace is quick indeed the wind whips the faces of those within the vehicle and more than a few times the Jedi turn around to make sure that the cargo is still attached to the transport. As you come cloer to the city you are forced to slow the pace.
A dark haze hangs over Tel Bollin - a lingering reminder of countless burned bodies and homesteads. You pass smoldering wreckage in outlying areas as you continue towards the center of the city. The air smells like ashes, and the rising smoke stings the eyes.
The streets are mostly deserted, except for beings in heavy clad robes. Their identities, even their species, are hidden beneath the robes. They seem to be moving about furtively, as if to avoid disturbing the ghosts of the recent dead.
A combat landspeeder whirs by, marked with the insignia of the Corporate Sector Authority and transporting a gray uniformed rider. The rider pays you no mind. A speaker on the side of the landspeeder announces that the vaccinations are available at some emergency relief area for any people with red tags of series 1200 to 1500. Overhead, three IDR's soar across the blackened sky.
You have arrived, now where to?
