Swen drapes the robe around her arm, and lowers it, letting her cloak fall around her shoulder.
Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
With her other hand she makes a broad waving motion to pull the merchant's attention away from the robe, if just for a moment.

"Maybe, but maybe I might ask you a few questions first? You see, I'm likely to take a trip to Kyonin soon. It'd be nice to know the terrain so to speak. Are you from Kyonin? What can you tell me about the customs there? Anything I should know about?"

sensing of the motives:
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

For a moment the half elf's eyes followed the robe but your hand motion, plus the question seemed to distract her.

"Kyonin? Proper? I do not know if I can help you friend. I am from Greengold, along the lake. Most of my kind live around there you see."

She began reaching up to slip the side of her hair back exposing her obviously half elven ears.

"I made the trip to Omesta once with my mother to see her kin and its in the forest proper. The best advice i can give any one in dealing with the elves in Kyonin is to realize they look at things in much longer terms than one can imagine. They prefer nuances, the pleasure of introductions before business those sorts of things."

As tier commander takes his leave, Ramona heads out, considering the information. It might definitely be useful in the future. The gunslinger heads toward the chosen meeting place.

"Oh dear me, anything really, are you going to Kyonin as part of a trading caravan? I have a few nice robes for the merchant type you arent dressed as a Kalistradean my apologies. "Oh? I've picked up a trinket or two, then we have the items in the enchanting room. One of my students seems quite skilled in the enchantment of minor magical items, I am hoping she can manage stronger things soon. Weak heart afraid of more pratical experiance so its slow going. I can put in a request from on old friend in Kerse if you are looking to spend a good deal of coin, to be frank, I dont think you can afford most of the things Cern makes as of yet, perhaps after a few more missions are under your belt."

You can find anything on the wonderous item list under 800gp, there is a 30% chance of the item being there up to 1000gp.

The windows seem clear for the moment Amed, the streets however are not. As you near the site of your next possible missions breifing you run across a familiar face. The half elven barmaid at the tavern built just outside the walls to the Silver Shields compound.

She sees you and snorts slightly rolling her eyes before turning back to the rotund half orcen fellow standing outside a shop. From your angle its hard to see inside the place, but there is a stand of fruit in the front of it.

The Black Dragon inn was one of the larger establishment in Macridi, though it wasnt the first Black Dragon Inn in Druma. The owner of this particular inn was in fact the 2nd daughter of the original's owner. Macridi's version of the Black Dragon Inn was more a local gathering place for amazing food and drink, though they did have 2 dozen rooms upstairs.

When you entered the place Aurelain a young woman stood behind a wooden stand. She offered you a smile when you entered.

"What brings you into the Black Dragon Inn today sir?"

She asked with a bright smile.

"Oh? master Dare (dar -eh) mentioned that we had guests for the private room meeting master Bwirse about some business. Please follow me."

She began stepping from behind her lectern and heading into the common room. She guided through the busy room. The inn's common room was well kept, and it appears to be a rather well liked locale as its filled with folk getting their morning meal. Above the din of the tavern-goers, you can hear the booming voice of a large hairy beast of a man. He seems to be checking in on the help at the inn, going from the man behind the bar, to the three serving girls to a man who looks very much like a bouncer but whom is clearing tin plates from a just emptying table dispensing directions and comments.

As you are passing a table you here one of the patrons whispering about the Brass Dragon inn, a smaller place on the south side of the town. Patrons seen to keep mentioning a dark whispering heard at night. Some think the place is haunted.

If the young woman heard the rumor as you passed she seemed to pay it no mind. Instead she opened the door to a side room that had a large table inside it lit by a few candles. Heavy curtains hung over a closed window making the room dark.

"Im sure Master Bwirse will be here soon, I'll have someone in to take your order soon sir."

She began with a wink. At least you think it was a wink. She withdrew leaving alone in the room for the moment.

Just as you were about to make your way out of the compound one of the younger orphans that hung around the place learning trade and fighting skills, no doubt the next generation of silver shields came scrambling out of the main keep hailing you.

"M'am... miss ... miss Ramona. Master Binderbook wants to see you, special mission something about big guns and hobgoblin walls."
He panted.

And que to introing Thorn

The keep and compound was not what you thought it would be pictures of grand stone spires walls with marching soldiers stark human designs... this was homely, almost inviting. The walls were tall enough, and appeared solid. The lone high tower was slim and built of stone, but that was it. There was even a wooden inn built along the outside of the wall. The letter in your pocket felt heavier than it should. Two months ago a confused young messenger found you, said he had been given a letter for you.

It was from a elven relative, he said. a strange tall fellow with intricate tattoos and a smirk on his face. Tamrinil Alluevarin claimed to be kin to your father. Word had reached him about your mothers passing and well he mourned for her. He went on to describe about how he was an officer in a well regarded mercenary outfit in Druma and since her father was unavailible to provide aid that she could come see him in Macridi if she needed anything.

Intruigued more than anything else you left the small village you had been living in on the outskirts of the Fierani forest and head south just to see if the writer was full of s~#& more than anything. It seemed like a busy bustling place. A dwarf was directing a bunch of workers in adding some sort of mud like patching to the walls. The sound of a smith's forge hammering off to the north clanged in your ears. Two young humans chatting about magical theory as they walked by with baskets towards the open gate passed by you barely nodding at your presence.

"No. You seem to be pointing not aiming. Try again."

You heard a voice heavy with an elvish lilt to it correct someone. in the back corner of the compound you could see four young folk with bows intently watching and listening to a tall elf in leaf armor.... very simular to your armor in fact.

Nicenzia & Swen

You had just entered the large entrance to the Black Dragon inn, a someone well known spot here in Macridi. As the doors closed behind you, a young woman just finished walking up to a wooden podium.

The odds of that description matching someone else here in addition to the man instructing the four with the bows was rather unlikely. The letter in her pocket feeling like a ball of lead, a nervous flutter in her stomach, the ranger walks over toward the archery lesson.

She wasn't all that good with strangers, generally preferring the quiet of the wilderness to most people's ideas of conversation, but she was here now so there was nothing for it but to introduce herself.

"Uhm... hello..I'm looking for Tamrinil Alluevarin."

Swens rumour: 1d12 ⇒ 3

Before you could answer a bear of a man came to your table.

"Hello Hello welcome to the Macridi's Black dragon inn! First time 'ere eh folks. Welcome welcome! Name's Miklos Dare (dar - eh) at your service. Me and the missus own the place... a branch of her folks fine establishment up in the Capital. What brings you round 'ere? Are you adventurer's? You look like the sort."

He began, laughing and clapping you on the shoulder Amed. Harder than was probably needed.

"If there is one thing I know, its a troublemaker when i see them. Adventurer's are full of troubles eh?"

He added with a laugh and wink to you girls.

"You wont be trouble though folks I can tell."

Man he has a solid grip Amed. Its almost like he is speaking directly to you and not so much the girls.

"Hilda! Bring these folks some ale on me. First time here!"

He began and at that point an older fellow eyes mostly closed called out.
"What about me its my first time 'ere!"

One of the passing maids laughed.

"More like first time 'ere today you mean Laslo."

The old man could only laugh elbowing the fellow at his table who sort of joined in.

As a dwarven lass, pretty if you like them short, came up with the tray of four ales he sat down across from Amed held up the mug.

"I know your type pretty well, and good fortunes to ye. Back in my youth i ran mercenary for a year or two, seeing all there was of this land. Lost a few friends, made many more. I imagine you are here to see Bwirse. He's been honest to me, but he's a money changer and lender so take care of his words now. He weaves them pretty thick."

He was about to say more when someone hollored his name from the back. He had his mug up to his lips and he almost spilt it down his shirt. He gave you all a conspiratorial grin.

"Well then off I go, thats the missus. Dont want to keep her waiting. It ends badly when you upset a woman i've found. Hope to see you again."

He offered leaving you all there.... The dwarven lass cleared her throat.

"Right then, you folks want the stew or the fish?"

He offered standing there looking awkward for a moment. You could see a million things seemed to running through his thoughts at the moment. Thoughts he wasnt sure what he should do with.

Essentially being manhandled by a man twice his size, Amed decides, in this case, honest might be the best policy.
"My friends and I are on Silver Shield business, Mr. Dare."
After the bear of a man leaves the table, the magus takes the free ale from the cute dwarven lass. With a quick dip of the ale on the floor as is the typical offering to Cayden Cailean, Amed offers a equally quick wink and smile. "Thank you for the ale, dear lady. And I believe the stew is all I have time for today."

"What can i get for your sir? Master Bwirse hasnt arrived yet. We have a beef stew with azul wheat bread or a riverfish fried up with fresh greens for lunch? Will ye be having ale or kaf or anything?"

A kaf would be excellent. Too early for even me to start drinking ale. He says with a smile. And the fish would be just the thing to break my fast.

Apologies, I forgot to roll earlier.

Swen takes the mug of ale and drinks it thirstily. “I’ll just eat off their plates,” she tells the waitress and slips a gold piece to her, whispering, “let us know when this Bwirse fellow comes in.”

“Something’s afoot in town,” she confides in her companions once their order is taken, “I get the feeling we won’t be the only ones investigating this artifact or whatever. Could be trouble.”

Being pretty sure she had gambled with a Druid and some woodsman just the day before, she scans the tavern for any of their ilk.

also, poor Aurelian, being the only one in the right spot at the right time.

Accepting the armband, Thorn gives Tamrinil a nod. "Thank you, I'll head there now.....uncle." she says awkwardly, before turning to head to the stables...something that was always easy to find for anyone with a decent sense of smell.

Aurelain is early, like you folk are :P He is in the right spot though

The waitress gave you a curt nod for the coin and request and before long your orders were brought forth. The food was good and filling, and as you were finishing up your meal the waitress came back and leaned in whispering in your ear... 'thats him'.

Looking up to the entrance you could see a small pretentious looking fellow in a bowler hat come stauntering into the dining area. He stopped at the bar and shared a word with Miklos before he took a small shot of some dark substance and drained it. He coughed and they both laughed and then he took an ale and slowly headed back torwards one of the private rooms.

The stables was manned by a tall awkward half elven fellow with fine yellowgold hair. He was brushing a large powerful looking dark horse when he noticed you. He stared awkwardly for a moment before he noticed your armband and quickly led you to one of the keeps horses. He gave you pretty good directions and a spirited horse to ride into town.

His directions were easy to follow and led you right to where you needed to go. The only annoying thing was the smarmy looking fellow in a bowler hat who glanced you up and down for a moment with a smirk before he head inside.

He walked right past the young woman at a small desk and she let him pass by with nary a word, She smiled brightly when she saw you however.

"Welcome to the Black dragon inn in Macridi miss, how can we help...Oh I see the armband, are you here for the others?"

She asked brightly.

A kaf would be excellent. Too early for even me to start drinking ale. He says with a smile. And the fish would be just the thing to break my fast.

The a younger woman entered the private room with a tray of steaming hot kaf and a thick clay pitcher and a platter of the fish. You could smell earthy herbs on the fish and could pratically see the steam rising from the kaf and the platter of fish.

"If you need anything else sir please you have but to ask. Name's Ilsie. I'm sure Mister Bwirse will be here soon. Please enjoy."

Thorn rolls her eyes at the distasteful little man who leered at her, glad to see him walking away instead of toward her.

"Uhm...yes!" Thorn answers, "There's supposed to be a small group meeting with someone here, could you show me to them?" she asks quietly, returning the smile.
