Seriously. I can understand when you're fully submerged getting bonuses like that, but from something like treading water? Your shoulders and head are easily exposed, and its not easy to move around at all. I suppose it'd be easier for a water elemental, but that's still crazy hard to do anything with.

It definitely makes a difference, recently I got pulled into a lake by a Giant Squid in my irl game and these rules made that encounter memorable in a bad way.

Those rules have almost killed people in the S&S game I am in, which is why I am a Druid and just wild shape in water. That way I can almost die is different ways, like trying to be a hero and solo monsters not meant to be soloed.

Wow. Never really had an aquatic battle before so never realized that. Grumble, what book was that in? A friend of mine is starting a S&S game and should probably know.

And me without ranged options. I am le sad.

Sorry for the delays and absences in my posting. I have now completely moved into my new apartment and just went through orientation for my internship. It seems I will have a pretty normal 40 hour work week, a 9-5 job (eastern time) for Monday-Friday. So my posting will mostly be in the evenings and weekends, although I usually play with my local group on Sunday. Thanks for bearing with me through this time of change.

No worries, like I said in a post above, I will be having periods of inactivity as I pack. Good news is I found a house so the search is over bad news is now I have to move. Thanks. I actually worry about pushing too far. Antipaladins are hard to portray in ways that don't alienate other characters or players. Please bring it up if you ever feel I'm slipping from "delightfully disturbing" to "tasteless shock value."

Hey GM, does Odenkirk hit the AC listed on Grumble's sheet? I noticed his AC in the header is 15, but on his sheet it's 23. I'm not sure if Grumble has been going this whole time with his armor off or not. I don't know what he rolled, but would that make a difference in whether or not he'd get hit? Also Grumble, did you deal 37 damage or 56? I didn't see a critical modifier on your sheet; I'm trying to figure out what we ought to do from here, and there's a fair difference in damage between the two. He's obviously tough, but depending on how much damage we both did I'd feel more comfortable about taking him down now.

Wearing armor on ship is dangerous. I've been assuming he wasn't wearing more than the leather underlay.
