It was - alas no photo evidence exists, this was pre-foodselfie era when whipping out a camera in a restaurant would likely draw strange looks aplenty.

Aye it was a mighty plate of food, but to paraphrase Clint Eastwood's character William Munny in Unforgiven: "I was lucky in the order, but i've always been lucky when it comes to eatin' heaped plates." :)

I wanted to say this before, but I had a busy week.

I am no fan of GMs using their player characters on their campaigns. But this had a lot of sense to me. It was difficult to avoid as this idea that Eidi was here has been building up organically in one campaign Kikinnin's player GMs that was the next published campaign after Shackled City, the Age of Worms, and that holds some nice links with SC for those players that went through the first one.

The cameo will be short and I hope it does not bring outrage to the main heroes :)

I think adding characters as cameo's really helps. Especially in a long campaign like this one, seeing a picture other than the GMs can be a nice change.

Finally got the Loot sheet updated... very decent haul thus far.

Have a look o'er as/when as there might be items there worth equipping between encounters.

Am looking at the following for Maxim:

- Headband of Mental Prowess (+2 INT & +2 CHA)
- Wand of Magic Missiles
- Wand of Fireballs
- Amulet of Natural Armour +2

There is a Belt of Incredible Dexterity +6 that, while I do covet, absolutely screams JJ with his TWF/skirmishing approach.

If the Belt does not work for JJ I agree that Maim is the next best fit between the ranged attack and the ranged legerdemain.

The Headband would be good for me as I can keep my Charisma boost and gain an Int boost granting me another 13 skill points... Then the Headband I have now can be thrown back into the pot.

JJ is, in spite of being a TWF, actually more STR build. I have a dex/str belt at the moment, which works well. So if someone else wants +6 DEX (and generally, who apart from a fighter wouldn't) I think we would get better mileage from another person using it.

In all seriousness Maxim's +2 DEX & +2 CON are more than adequate for him as ranged touch attacks are easy to hit stuff with lol, and the extra HP is sweet... Mmm.

Trade off between getting hit less and taking more when hit... Anyone want the +2 CON/+2DEX if I trade up??

Well, I did get into an AP run here on the forums once but it sadly fizzled out pretty early on, as most forum-run APs tend to do.

It's also one of the handful of (1E) APs I think I might like to try running some day since I do so love me some Lovecraft and cosmic horror and just horror in general.

Alas, too many ambitions and not enough time!

I also believe I am a bit burnt out on RPing. Been doing it a long time and I think my muse needs a break. Going to withdraw from most games here on the boards.

We all go through phases like that. I know I have been guilty of adding too much to my plate in quiet times, and then when things get busy suddenly it is "AARrrghhhhh"

Which (BTW) is why I like society play. Games last a month-month and a half, so as things get busy I just stop signing up. I know I am in a busy phase this term, so am down to just GMing one game and playing in a half dozen, and even they are not being replaced. Having GD9 around the corner helps with the non-replacement too.

Echoing the others in that I'm sorry to see you go Kythel but I definitely understand burnout and needing a break! It was a pleasure to play with you and maybe we'll see each other around on the forums again at some point :)

Re: PFS/SFS - Yep. I've not applied to a (random) AP group in years and the majority of my gaming nowadays is through Organized Play. Long, connected campaigns are great for character-building but are also much more of a mental drain sometimes than a 1-shot scenario or even a module.

Thanks a lot for letting us now Kythel. There is nothing that worries me more than someone leaving without telling.

I do understand about the burnout, sometimes you just need to step aside and dedicate to other stuff. It is specially competing with going to the beach or reading a book with a drink in the balcony at this time of year.

We will keep Kythel around, I am confident once the rainy season comes back there is chances the roleplaying worm attacks again :)

Besides, Kythel will be around until we finish this chapter, so if you want to enter the gameplay and post, feel free to do or not do at your pleasing.

I will hold off for now but don't pull me off of the roster. I love Kythel and I love the group, just need to regroup a bit. Pretty stressful few years for me before this crazy year which has been stressful for everyone.
