Good Evening Guys,

Just want to let everyone know that I am going to visit my wife’s in-laws in Houston for the next ten days. Because of this I expect that my posting will be restricted but I will do my best to check in every few days via phone and tablet. I appreciate all of your understanding and assistance while I am away from my home computer.

How did we go this long without discussing who would get what loot?
- Masterwork Dagger
- Silver Ring
- Wand of Burning Hands (CL 2nd, 4 charges)
- Spellbook with 5 spells (identify, mage armor, reduce person, silent image, and unseen servant)

Can Asta use these spells? What about the wand?
How much is the ring worth?

Hmm. I'd need to look up the rules for spellbook-to-familiar translation, if that is at all possible.

Pretty simple you burn the spell pages, feed them to the famliar and then use the familiars spellcraft checks per spell to determine if the spell is learned.

Since this process destroys the pages the witch usually waits to see if other aracnists want a shot at learning the spells first

Wanted to get player discussion on Kressel.

Is anyone happy/unhappy about keeping her around?

Valeria is fine with her being around as long as she doesn't backstab us. Right now she even views her as a kindred spirit, as she has no doubt suffered loss at the hands of men just as Valeria has.

I guess it comes down to people beliving that someone can change. Andrei is basically a good person so would be willing to give her a chance, but he also has not had any interaction with her prior to his arrival, whereas the others have,

I presume you mean as a player. No, I have no problem with it at all. It presents us with an excellent role playing opportunity.
Torod believes in redemption and he secretly hopes Kressle is sincere in wanting to change her ways. For the good of the community, though, he feels it is best not to chance it. Plus that Cha of 8 makes him grumpy and irascable.

So I have added a section of wanted posters to the Campaign info tab.

Those include a bounty on an ill tempered wild bore, the swordlords about the kobolds and Oleg wanting the head of some mythic dragon-kin creature.

Feel free to act as if these were brought up in conversation.

Kressel will be describing the nearby ruins and the staglords fort soon.

So much bookkeeping between forays into the wild!

Asta is all for keeping Kressel around, both for reasons idealistic and pragmatic.

Both clerics and druids of Erastil have long/short bow as an option for ranged weapons.

Is this still good? Torod is proficient with bows? I've figured out how to note it herolab finally.

Absolutely that is still the case.

In fact a bow is up for grabs if you kill a pig....campaign info tab.

Ok, just sayin something here because I think it would make sense in character. However, as a guy playing a female character ATM it's just got all kinds of weird covering it.

Anyway, Valeria would probably be open to the prospect of a romantic relationship with Andrei at the moment, but I just can't RP that proper without gettin the "eebie jeebies." Andrei, if he is open to the prospect, and everybody is cool with it, I'd prefer to keep most of that in a behind the scenes matter. I can handle the actual rp of a relationship,mount the getting there part would just be a whole new level of awkward IMO. Especially trying to RP the cross gender part of it.

And so Torod and Asta understand, 1: Valeria's straight, and 2: Torod has been a bit too brash and crude to this point, and Valeria got sick of that kinda attitude during her time as a tavern waitress.

If Andrei is not interested, lemme know and I could totally RP out the rejected proposition.

Believe it or not I still have some staglord Intel from Kressel.

Naw, the rp of it I think is better. Leads to more options in character. I'd been waiting for a good time to unload Valeria's backstory in game and you provided it perfect with Kressel's intel.

You consider Torod brash and crude? Well at least I've gotten that part right. How do you (any of you) feel about him as an adventuring companion, though?

I would say that Oleg and Svetlana are perplexed by the depth of several of your characters. It will take some time for everyone to get used to everyone else...

As an adventuring partner she's fine with him.

Andrei, Valeria: One of you may recall that Asta has a signet ring with the Rogarvia seal, too. Probably Valeria; they've known each other longer. ^^

I'm sure you guys have noticed Valeria's absence of late. I am going to have to back out of this game. In the past two weeks, the hospital I worked for laid off 148 people, myself included. Then, a week after that, I received an eviction notice because my landlord wants to try to sell the property I'm renting, and feels that it will sell better empty.

As such, I have until the end of September to pack up and get out, as well as find a place to move all my stuff into. On top of that, still gotta find a new job. So, my time is slammed at the moment. And I have no way to really provide a time frame of potential return. So, it's easier for me to just bow out.

I am unexpectedly going to be out of town all next week.

Due to my trip and the limited value of a temporary PC to NPC shift, I am letting everyone level to level 2.

I will try and check in during that week, but will not be near my materials.

Morning Guys,

I wanted to chime in and let you know whats going on. Between planning a move, poor internet, work increasing and a ton of pbp games, I am losing steam on this thread. I might be able to play later on, but this is one of the more recient games I joined and I am not contributing at all. I feel its best if I drop from the game or am placed on inactive status for the time being.
