Well Valeria would use the longbow if nobody else wants it.

Female Human Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 1 (Initiative + 2, Perception +0, AC 17 (12 touch, 15 flat-footed), CMD 14, Fort: +3, Ref: +2, Will: +2, HP 11/11)

Also, 4 light riding horses with riding saddle, saddlebags, bit and bridle = (91 x 4) = 364 / 2 = 182gp sale value. 30 gp, 3 silver to each and to the fund. :)

If anybody wants items from the loot, we should remove them before making divisions of unwanted gear. Is everybody fine with me taking the longbow?

Female Human Bard (Dervish Dancer) 5 HP: 28/28 NL: 0 | AC 19/14/15 | F +1, R +7, W+5 (+4 vs. Sonic, Language-Dependent, and Bardic Performance)| Per:+9 (Darkvision 60ft.), Init: +5 | Battle Dance: 14/16 | Spells: 1st: 5/5, 2nd: 3/3 | Arrows: 14

Yep. I'm planning on taking a level or two of ranger to get proficiency and may continue that track as things progress. Makes more sense considering we won't likely be running into many traps.

Female Human Winter Witch 6; Init +2; Senses Perception +3; AC 16 (+2 Dex., +4 mage armour); hp 59/46; Fort +4; Ref +4; Will +7

Hmm. I suppose a light horse would be faster than my current riding donkey...

Grand Lodge

Actually, Torod would like the longbow. He wouldn't mind a shortbow except he's not proficient with it. If Valeria still wants it, Torod can wait for the next one to become available or he can buy one when the money becomes available. It is a secondary weapon for him.

I suggest we keep a horse or two for pack animals as we explore and map the area.

Rogue/Ranger is a nice combination that synergises very well. You just have to be willful enough to switch classes at the right levels as each level of rogue and most levels of ranger give you something good.

Init +5/ HP 94/94 // AC: 26/T:17/FF:21 - Percep: +18// F +8/R +14/W +12 /CMB +10 - CMD 24

If Torod can only use longbows, Valeria is fine with a short bow

Grand Lodge

Thank you.

Female Human Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 1 (Initiative + 2, Perception +0, AC 17 (12 touch, 15 flat-footed), CMD 14, Fort: +3, Ref: +2, Will: +2, HP 11/11)

If it makes a difference to your levelling plans, Terri, I'm planning to give Jennet revelations that will boost the abilities of nearby animals. Get to level 4 in Ranger and you can jump on the animal companion bandwagon. :)

Grand Lodge

Oh! We might want to keep all of the arrows too.

Init +5/ HP 94/94 // AC: 26/T:17/FF:21 - Percep: +18// F +8/R +14/W +12 /CMB +10 - CMD 24

As far as loot goes, I think for now we are in a tight spot. I doubt Oleg has much in way of funds due to his regular robberies. And the campaign info tab kinda insinuates he is extending store credit instead. So, I say we each should take whatever we can put to use and give him the rest so he can reestablish a shop and be our go to merchant in the future. Thoughts?

Female Human Winter Witch 6; Init +2; Senses Perception +3; AC 16 (+2 Dex., +4 mage armour); hp 59/46; Fort +4; Ref +4; Will +7

Sounds good to me.

Female Human Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 1 (Initiative + 2, Perception +0, AC 17 (12 touch, 15 flat-footed), CMD 14, Fort: +3, Ref: +2, Will: +2, HP 11/11)

One of you might like to spend some of your store credit on his potion of cure light wounds.

Female Human Winter Witch 6; Init +2; Senses Perception +3; AC 16 (+2 Dex., +4 mage armour); hp 59/46; Fort +4; Ref +4; Will +7

I have Healing Hex. :p

Grand Lodge

Sounds like a plan.

What's our new cut after the suggested changes?

Init +5/ HP 94/94 // AC: 26/T:17/FF:21 - Percep: +18// F +8/R +14/W +12 /CMB +10 - CMD 24

161 gp from Terri's math
136 gp, 5 sp for horses after Asta takes one set of the gear for her own horse
-66 of that for removal of a shortbow, longbow, and 40 arrows

Leaves 231 gp, 5 sp. we can either split that or donate all those goods as mentioned above and that is how much store credit we have as a group. Which would be a great start for it. If we used some of that credit for the potions, that would leave us 131 gp, 5 sp for store credit and some extra healing on us. However u guys want to do it works for me.

And who is willing to track the group supplies and funds? I would but am doing it in another PbP I'm in so don't wanna risk getting confused and ruining one groups listings.

Init +5/ HP 94/94 // AC: 26/T:17/FF:21 - Percep: +18// F +8/R +14/W +12 /CMB +10 - CMD 24

I suppose we need to wait to see what direction we sent Croft and Strawberry before we set out. I don't think we should roam too far from the post at first, maybe do a circuit around the near vicinity until we find out where these bandits are camped.

Female Human Bard (Dervish Dancer) 5 HP: 28/28 NL: 0 | AC 19/14/15 | F +1, R +7, W+5 (+4 vs. Sonic, Language-Dependent, and Bardic Performance)| Per:+9 (Darkvision 60ft.), Init: +5 | Battle Dance: 14/16 | Spells: 1st: 5/5, 2nd: 3/3 | Arrows: 14

For the leveling, we'll see, I may alternate for the first three or four levels before sticking with one and dipping into the other.

As for the loot, I think the best long term solution is to donate it and offer our protection to Oleg and Svetlana (as diplomatically as possible, of course.) In exchange we ask for a place to stay and recover, as well as plan our excursions from.

And as for arrows, Terri has 59 left, and archery is her shtick. I think that we could probably get by with only keeping 20, but that's up to you guys.

And if you guys need some one to keep track, I would, but I'm horrible at bookkeeping most of the time. (Still, I guess there's only one way to get better.)

Torod will purchase the remaining arrows. I vote to purchase the healing potions.

I agree as well. I suppose it makes most sense for Terri and I to carry them as we have no way to heal if we get separated from y'all. But if any object that's fine by me.

I was going to track your store credit and orders in the campaign info tab........

Anyone want to place an order from these funds?

I'll pass on an order. I do think we should hang onto the Stag Lord amulet. Evidence if nothing else.

Updated my image of Valeria in my profile, will probably do so periodically as she gains different gear and items.

Should anyone else want to tinker with HeroMachine to create their own characters, here is the link to the site I use.

HeroMachine

Also:

1) Kender, what's the official tally of Store Credit we have earned?
2) Valeria will take one of the cure potions, I suggest Terri take the other. The shield potion I am not interested in at this time, others need it more than me.

Interesting. Definitely checking this out later.

I'm trying to get back into drawing on a regular basis (instead of once every couple of days) Any requests? (Just don't expect anything spectacular, I'm really out of practice.)

Kenderkin, how does movement on the campaign map work? How many 12-mile hexes can we travel in a day, and how long does it take to fully explore a hex? What difference does terrain make?

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Simply passing through 3 to 4 hexes takes a day....

Fully exploring a hex takes (half day) if nothing is in it or a full day if there is something.

Terrain will have a bigger impact on perception than on movement as far as this book goes.

I will inform you of difficult terrain!

Croft and strawberry deathstrike?

Half Elf Hunter/Rogue 5/1| HP 61/61| AC 18 (20) T 12 FF 16 (18)| Fo +6 Re +8 Wi +4| Init +3| Percep +16| Spells: Lvl 2: 2/3; Lvl 1: 5/5

Croft is Asta's familiar and Strawberry Deathstrike is Torod's animal companion. We sent them off to help us find the bandit lair.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

Ahh then "they" should be making some rolls, and by they I mean their respective players....

So Asta for example should post something like

Croft (flying/walking/burrowing...scouting ahead/right flank into the woods/left flank..... "some distance")
skill X 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Using scent to track
perception

I get the sneaking suspicion that everybody is missing people's posts and/or roll requests...

Yep, but I think I only missed part of a post that I went back and responded to. And Terri only has a +1 to survival, so she'll help track for now.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

That darn post ninja!

Happens to the best of us. You read and get all caught up on the action and you hit submit, then somehow there is suddenly two posts above your that weren't there when you wrote your post.....

You got ninja'd!

Away from my computer, only so much I can post via phone ;)

Posting here instead of in game thread, as I don't want to flood it with mostly ooc text. Valeria proposes we go in together up until we are nearing sight of the camp, then split up and surround the camp. Hepta and jennet are going to have the most difficulty hiding, and are the fastest, as such she could hang back in cover and ride in at sounds of trouble. Moving in unmounted seems best to me, as we can protect our horses by hiding them as well as move more quietly. Once at camp, Valeria volunteers to move in and try to convince them to surrender peacefully, and if they won't, she can likely draw some initial fire to help protect the others as they move in and pick targets. She also will stress the need to take the leader and as many others alive as possible.

M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA

About to summarize the actions and bandits re-actions.

This is based upon the plan Valeria posted just above, that I understood and the posts in the game thread of each individuals acts.

Try not to post too quick as I maybe editing based for example on the results of a will save, etc.

But most ominously, he has advised me to save up for a new laptop.
Can I hear you say 'Argh', y'all? :(

Yeah, I'm starting to think I'm going to have to get a replacement for my main machine in the next year. I've been thinking about what I'd get.

Bad news is, because "everything is going mobile," The guys that make laptops are trying to make them tablets too. I hope that they wake up and realize that there's still going to be a market for laptops and desktops even after the smartphone and tablet markets are saturated.
