Gang - I hate to do this, especially after offering to run something and having a new player just join us, but I think I'm going to drop from this series. I hesitate to do it, and have been thinking about it a lot, out of concern that it may be difficult to keep it going, as there may not be many people with Core characters at the right level. But there was some interest in our recent recruitment, so maybe that's not such a problem.
In any case, I've found I'm not enjoying playing with the limited character choices Core offers over such a long run, and it doesn't help that I have played pretty much all these scenarios before. I think with the advent of PF2, I'm still enjoying occasional high-level play in PF1, but playing within the limited options of Core isn't really doing it for me any more.
Sorry to bow out. You are all great, fun players, and I look forward to playing with you all again on the boards, by VTT or at a table some time.

            Garif & Nico,
Sorry you aren’t enjoying the Core game. If it isn’t fun for you, bowing out is the right choice. I will miss Garif’s constant rock references but games are supposed to be fun. I do look forward to playing at other tables with you in the future, and some of them are likely to be VTT.

Gang,
Is anyone else looking to leave?
Personally, I have had fun with Iovo’s character concept even though the implementation is a bit lacking in power. It is a fun and interesting group. In my opinion we are just getting to the level where the characters start to be competent and interesting.
That said, something like this only works as a group. I think most of us are playing PF2 and SFS. I know that I am playing a lot less PF1 now. Even with retirement, there is only so much time I can devote to gaming. :)
So do we want to continue this campaign and try to find replacement members, or close it down?

I'd personally miss the chaos twins if this closes down... On the other hand, I am noticing less energy in the group of late. While I was looking forward the Destiny of the Sands trilogy, and love the characters in this group, I will also understand if this is our stopping point.

Seeing how I've only joined you for one adventure I'm much less invested in this group than the rest of you. That being said I'll leave the decision up to the rest of you and am fine with whichever you decide.

I think I've also okay with calling it at this point. I love everyone here, and all the characters are fun, but it's mostly adventures that I've played before in a system that I'm losing interest in.

*de-lurks, because I still lurk here sometimes*
So...I've been noodling it over a little bit since this morning and while this may not appeal if the majority of the group has waning interest in their characters/CORE/PF1...would you guys want me to run a 'last hurrah' game so all of the remaining characters can play together?
The pace would probably still be a little on the sedate side (*insert essential worker/night shift/probable SAD which is noteworthy with autumn on the horizon*) but I also know several of you have busy periods with projects and other RL things so maybe a more sedate pace would still be okay, I dunno.
Either way, just thought I'd offer it up for consideration :)

I'd play in a 'goodbye' game. I think calling the general campaign here is the right call, though. It's been delightful playing these characters with you all, but I'd rather call it here than let it slowly dwindle away.

Oh no way. If we have too many I'll bow out, there's no debate on that one.

Like most GMs, I normally won't run with 7 players but I'd be happy to make an exception for this group (assuming that everyone wants to play) - unless that '6 players max' limit for PF2 has been applied to PF1/SFS too and I missed it somewhere. That said, I know a lot of players don't like 7 player tables either so if that's a hard no then we'll go with 6 and figure something out.
I think something fun/silly/fantastical would be a good sort of scenario to wrap things up on. After plugging most of you into PFS Tracker and trying to narrow it down to scenarios that maybe not *everyone* has already played in Standard, I've got a few ideas:
Treason's Chains - I just ran this for OutPost III so it'd be no problem to run it again. There's a party involved!
Portent's Peril - This one is investigative in nature, but fun. I've GMed this before and it's a favorite of mine.
Reaping What You Sow - Also somewhat investigative in nature and another personal favorite to GM. Can be run in 'Spooky' mode or 'Spoopy' mode; would probably run it 'Spoopy' for this group.
House of Harmonious Wisdom - Already suggested, always a good time. Hmm, how have you not actually played this one yourself yet!?
The Shores of Heaven - Go to Heaven to help a fellow agent. It's got some serious and light moments; another scenario I really enjoyed playing and GMing.
Down the Verdant Path - Fey. Shenanigans. (Also, like, EVERYONE has played Overflow Archives already.)
Those are some ideas to get us started but I'm also happy to entertain other possibilities if there's something good that I've left out :)
*edit* Though I'll admit that since I've already GMed all of the above suggestions they'd take me less time to (re)prep as opposed to a scenario I've never GMed and/or played before.
*edit 2 electric boogaloo* Regardless of what we decide re: scenario/number of players, would everyone be okay with doing this one under the Gameday IX umbrella as a private game or would folks prefer to start sooner than September 1st?

I am fine with playing it as part of GD IX.
Shores of Heaven would put Iovo at a pretty big penalty which I’m not sure she can handle. I loved my one play through of it, but it hurts being chaotic in heaven. I know, I did it with a character that was much more focused than Iovo.
I have not played Treason’s Chains. Sounds interesting.
I have played all the rest of them, love them all, and only have reservations about Shores of Heaven because of the specific character I would be playing. All of them were a lot of fun.

I have not played the first three - Treason's Chains, Portent's Peril, and Reaping What You Sow - and would be happy to play any of them, and doing that as part of GD 9 is fine by me. And I definitely think we should play with seven, so we can all take part!

I've played and/or GMed all of those, and would be fine with any. I'm normally more into scenarios that are a single, cohesive scenario, rather than a series of quests, but a certain scene in a teahouse would be a lot of fun with Kleines....

Garif, if you have any characters that are Varisian I would suggest you look for a game of Portent’s Peril. Is has a fortune teller as one of the main NPCs. When Hilary does it live, she wears a head scarf and has a lot of fun with that character.
Reaping What you a Sow is a great Halloween adventure.

Player Name:
Character Name:
PFS ID#:

Other Notes
Please make a note of any purchases that you wish to do prior to scenario start. You'll also have the opportunity to make additional purchases after the briefing and such, if you wish.
You may make your Day Job checks now or at the conclusion of the scenario, whichever works best for you.
We will resolve any questions to do with Faction Journal cards at the conclusion of the scenario.
The link to the slide deck we'll be using is now posted on my GM header. Please add your details to Slide #2 and your tokens, in preferred marching order, to Slide #3. If you're unable or unsure of how to do this, please let me know and we'll get it sorted.
Please try to check the game at least once or twice a day during the week and at least once during weekends. If your character has nothing to say or contribute to the action in Gameplay, just toss a note here in Discussion to let me know that you're still around and following the game.
If you have any particular 'botting' instructions for your character during combat encounters, please post them on your character profile. Characters that do not have botting information will be put on Delay in the event that the player is unable to post in a timely manner (~24 hours) during a combat round.

Introduction
I'm Lady Ladile and I'll be your GM for this adventure. I enjoy the fun and creativity that being a GM allows and I love having players willing to get into the story and interact with it and with each other. So have fun! Be creative!
While I do try my best to run my games in accordance with the rules of Pathfinder and Organized Play, I will occasionally make mistakes. Please don't be afraid to point them out but also please do not assume malicious intent, especially if I get something wrong to the 'detriment' of a character. I'm not that kind of GM. If mistakes are made, we'll get them sorted.
As far as posting rate goes, I generally do my best to adhere to at least 1 or sometimes 2 GM posts a day. That said, I work a night shift job in healthcare. My sleep schedule is a hot mess. So...while you're more likely to see posts from me in the evening/late hours CST, you might also see some at high noon or other random times.
And now that basic introductions are out of the way, I want to say that I'm happy to have you all join me and I'm very much looking forward to being your GM for the next several weeks! If you've got any questions about something I've covered in this post (or something I didn't), then please don't hesitate to ask :)
