Garif claims that you're all going to consider me a lazy DM, but I think I'll survive. After all, I made homemade kimchi today. So there.

I should be able to get that done this afternoon.

I need to level Phinellippa, but I should be able to do that tonight.
And since this is my last chance to tweak, who has opinions on opposition schools? This is my first wizard.

Necromancy or Enchantment are the first two I tend to look at.
Necromancy I miss Disrupt Undead, False Life and Vampiric Touch. Those are the only ones that come to mind that would have been nice.
Enchantment I miss Sleep, Hideous Laughter, and Good Hope.
The other schools always feel like I am giving up too much.

Divination has True Strike, Identify, Comprehend Languages, See Invisibility, Arcane Sight, Clairaudience/Clairvoyance.
You could easily do Identify and Comprehend Languages as wands for PFS. I suppose you could do a five-pack of See Invisibility or a two-pack of Clariaudience/Clairvoyance.
It really comes down to you looking over the lists and finding what has the least spells you hate losing -- or just going Generalist and not giving any up.
---
I'm still trying to figure out which school Iovo will specialize in when she picks up her first level of Wizard: Transmutation or Divination. They both have excellent first level powers for a rogue/wizard.

Hey y'all - I heard back from Rob, so he's not dead. Had a bit of a rough patch recently (mostly with work, it seems), so he's drawn into his shell a bit - but is hoping to emerge. I've asked him if we should run this next one without him, haven't heard back.
But he's not dead!

Kleines will buy the following. I'll get his profile updated in a few minutes.
Mwk darkwood composite longbow (+3 STR) - 2 prestige in place of the 730gp
50 cold iron arrows - 5gp
Grappling hook - 1gp
Antitoxin - 50gp

I got Phinellippa leveled last night; I'll update her wand charges and get her profile updated here tonight.

Oh dear. Our cranky-pants VC made an announcement about this a month ago. I don't want to get in trouble with her. She's scary when she's a cranky-pants! Can we please individualize the chronicles? If you need me to do so, I can write them up as your proxy.
Thanks,
Damiar

If anyone hasn't yet personalized your chronicle and would feel more comfortable if I did it, I'd be happy to do so. Please let me know.
If anyone has any concerns, I'm happy to discuss further in private.

Sovereign Court. Pffft.

Is it possible that we can some side excursions in our tour? I know that this was supposed to be just Season 5. That said, Case of Missing Persons is a direct successor of Stolen Heir. Also... I think that all the archery elves in this party might appreciate Dead Man’s Debt and a sojourn amongst the Ekujae.
Damiar gives big eyes...

I like both of those. Any specific scenarios you propose to replace?

The Devil We Know 1 & 4?
Neither of those are Season 5 and they are at the right level range. I also think they would cause the least disruption to the schedule.

That sounds great!!
Hmm

I would have to GM Dead Man's Debt, as it is the only scenario I played in Core prior to this campaign.

We'd accept that!

Test of bot codes. Please let me know if I don't have the correct bonus. Phinellippa, it looks to me like the bonus for Coco is already built into your Perception and Sense Motive. Is that correct?
Damiar: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Garif: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Kleines: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Nico: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Phinellippa: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Rees: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damiar: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 Low light
Garif: 1d20 ⇒ 20 Dark vision, Stonecunning
Kleines: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Nico: 1d20 ⇒ 1 Low light, Scent
Phinellippa: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 Low light
Rees: 1d20 ⇒ 17 Low light
| GM Bret |
Oops! Got interrupted while doing them and forgot I hadn’t collected all the modifiers! This is why I tend to cut & paste these things, makes It a lot less error prone once it is debugged.
Second try! Several modifiers updated.
Damiar: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 Low light
Garif: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 Dark vision, Stonecunning
Kleines: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (17) - 2 = 15
Nico: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 Low light, Scent
Phinellippa: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Low light
Rees: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 Low light

Yep. It'd be great for DMing to put a copy-pasteable version in the Campaign Info, and then we can just update it when things change (every third scenario or so). That way every DM doesn't have to do his own.

Speaking of things to be edited, Oladon according to my 'Player Sessions' page, Stolen Heir got double-reported.
Damiar Apastron
|
I fixed the extra table issue, but we appear to be missing Confirmation. Kate, can you report it please?
Hmm
Phinellippa Dioptrice
|
Yes, I believe that’s correct on my bonus, and I’ll get the reporting in tonight!
| GM Bret |
Is there going to be any door opening procedure here?
We established one for when Iovo was with the group. It helps by allowing me to just move through areas without having to pause action on searching for traps and such.
Sorry I didn’t think of this sooner, but it would be nice to have a door policy for the group when Iovo isn’t with them.
Damiar Apastron

I guess either I or Garif should be the sacrificial trap springing babies. I have a halfway decent reflex save, and Garif has good perception and will saves.
Hmm

Nice, gotta get it in while you can. Good luck and happy (PC) hunting!

Hey gang - thought I'd throw this question out to y'all, since you're a cadre of responsible PbP GM's:
I am slated to run a game of Voice in the Void during OutPost, and I believe nearly all of you are GM'ing games then also. The event starts March 5, and I have had an awesome work travel opportunity come up, to go to Peru the week of March 12. I'm planning to take advantage of being there and travel for an additional week when I'm done with work, so I'll be gone something like March 10-25, and I don't know how much access to reliable internet I'll have, nor do I know if I'll have much time to post, so I thought I'd seek out a backup GM in case I need it for that time period.
In short, if I can't get online then, would one of you be willing to run my game while I'm gone? I don't know for sure if it'll be needed, though I'd say it's fairly likely I'd want someone to cover for me March 17-25 or so. I'd be happy to cover the cost of the PDF of the scenario for any that don't have it.

Kleines Johann wrote:Kleines is in even worse shape than Garif for this mission, I think, unless I can somehow find a way to justify using Diplomacy (my only strong skill at +8) for these checks.Either of you could have volunteered to GM it instead.
As for skills, I would much prefer you give me a rationale for why the skill applies. In this room, I will note that Perform can be done Untrained.
Bringing this over from Gameplay:
I have already DM'ed this in Core (and greatly enjoyed it) so I couldn't sign up to run it again. Having said that, I really did not intend to come across as complaining about the skills situation (and knowing Dennis, I'm sure he didn't either) and I'm sorry if that's how it sounded. I have greatly enjoyed the creative application of skills in this scenario as a player and GM in the past. In fact, it's one of my favorite scenarios for that reason. I just haven't found the right application of Garif's skills yet, but I appreciate the suggestions, Bret.

Sorry, I definitely didn't mean to come across that way. I knew what I was getting into this scenario, and have no problem with not being good at this section. I should have waited to hear what skills were associated with this room before posting.
