A Core PFS campaign that will go from level 1 through level 12, completing all of Season 5 in the process.

At least, that was the original plan. We made it to 5th level with a few characters leaving and others joining. At that point life had gotten in the way for several of the players and interest in Core was waning. The group had one last run and then we closed it down.

I didn't have much I could play in Outpost - not a lot of openings in PF1 scenarios I could play, and I've played most PF2 stuff - so I'm not signed up for anything. Any games I should check out?

I'm playing a lot of VTT these days, as our local lodges have all moved online, it feels like I'm playing more PF with the community here than I do during non-pandemic times.

I played through two APs via Roll20 a few years back. Was a good time. We just did voice and chat, no video.

Once you have the character sheets set up, and the maps, its pretty slick. The character sheets especially are just button clicks for things. Writing up macros was helpful for all the situational mods and such for attacks.

The maps also could be heavily customized with dynamic lighting, effects, music, etc. Depending on I think your level of subscription.

Speaking of VTT, how would folks here feel about trying to organize one again? The one we did worked well, and the timing might work better. I'm also remembering back to The Disappeared, and I think it might play better in that format.

So, shall we decide on VTT vs PbP for the next game? I'm down with either approach, but would definitely support a VTT.

I think we still have all US time zones represented in the group, so it may have to be a weekend, unless the Cali crew can start early and Ironshanks doesn't mind staying up late.

Considering I'm at home presently almost 24/7 I could consider a VTT. Normally its too hard to make the schedules line up. In general though I much prefer PBP.

Define late? I'm not a late night person but for a one time thing I could probably get myself to midnight or so. Hrm, I'd also have to find a microphone as I think my last headset is DED.

Also, what is your preferred platform?

Preferred platform is up for discussion. Locally, we've been running replacement games using Google Hangouts for voice and Google Slides for maps (just like in PbP), and players have been rolling dice on their own. When we did a VTT with this group a while back, we used Roll20 for maps/dice and Discord for voice. I'm fine with either of those for The Disappeared (or something else if someone has a suggestion).

I'll get a Doodle Poll up tonight or tomorrow to see if we can pick a day/time. In generally I don't want to totally switch to VTT, but I do think the next scenario (The Disappeared) might be a little awkward in PbP, so it's a good candidate for VTT.

Sounds good. I would prefer normal PBP to a VTT setting, at least initially.

VTT was always a bit difficult lining up schedules being on the east coast vs west coast.

A quick question: It mentions our cover story a few times. Are we to come up with our own or is it simply we're here with that information on Sargava? Also, is it a fancy dress Gala where I'd be unable to be in my full plate... I'm happy to purchase a set of appropriate clothes to adorn the armor to be more 'showy'. But all in all the only realistic part I can play with my skill set is body guard.

If we plan to try to 'fit in', I can purchase Courtier's outfit 30 gp. Also if you want Ironshanks to do any sneaking, one of those hiding elixirs is a must. He rocks a -2 Stealth (-4 ACP).

Our cover story is we want to meet with the Ambassador to deliver some information about Sargava. We actually have the information, but it is stuff we would have generally just given to Zarta without charge. We aren't invited to the gala.

Are for wearing full plate, well it is an infiltration mission. If you have some way to disguise it (hat of disguise, Disguise Self, etc) no problem. Otherwise the question becomes how much to do you clank and can we quickly make you look like a normal guard?

I don't think anyone can afford glamored armor yet.

That's an accurate summary. Your cover is that you have information to deliver, which should be enough to get you in the building no matter how you're dressed. From there, it's up to you to proceed with your infiltration.

My character is up to date except for the purchases. I will update for those once it is decided if Iovo needs to buy a hat.

I assume we are not able to customize our spells to this since we only had a few hours notice before we had to go in. Really wish more scenarios would give a one day notification!

That was always one of Mr Peppers major complaints. Which is one of the reasons I took the exploit to allow him to change spells on the fly at the cost of 1 arcana.

I did leave one slot open, which I will be filling.

Once I have at least three spells at a level, I tend to leave at least one open. I also buy a fair collection of Pearls of Power so that I don’t need to duplicate spell slots. Still, they really should give the prepared casters the ability to plan more,

Some scenarios do. Scars of the First Crusade is one of them.

Ya I've found some favor one or the other but mostly you get some heads up.

I've started to favor 'pearls of power' style somewhat for Luurg my alchemist, but of course with whatever they call the alchemist versions.
