Thanks, guys! As of right now I do still plan to be at PaizoCon, providing it doesn't end up cancelled or something else happens between now and then. I'd love to try and play a game or at least have a meal with you folks at some point; maybe something we can look at nailing down closer to convention time?
Also, amusingly enough, my own work schedule is more 'set' than it was the last time we seriously tried to plan a VTT session (late last summer, maybe?) and it would probably be easier for me to do now.
In other news, my chronicle looks good, GM! :)

Could you note my copying the Magic Weapon spell from an NPC? I want to add it to my spellbook.
Thank you!

Hilary and I are still planning to attend PaizoCon and would love to get a game in with this group. If it isn’t a More Core game figuring out what we can all play may be more of a challenge.
Although it doesn’t appear everyone is in the Session Tracker, enough of us are that I already know we would need to either do PF2, a replayable scenario, or maybe a module. Most modules take too long so I am not sure that is workable.
Assuming everyone still thinks they are going, what do we want to plan for?
| DM Khel |
I know Kate is going, since she's the Guest of Honor, though I think Dennis may have KublaCon commitments that weekend. But if we could get all (or nearly all) of the Moar Core crew, that would be fun.
We could play some PF2, or use a replay for PF1, or play one of our Moar Core scenarios (though tough if we don't have the whole gang).
And I'll say again, we might manage a VTT between now and then.
| DM Khel |
Hey all - I was about to report this last game and I realized I used my PbP event name (DM Khel's PbP) and number on the chronicles, rather than the Moar Core event info. Does anyone mind if I just leave it that way? If for some reason you'd like me to change it and revise the chronicles, that's easy enough to do.

Fine with me as well. Do we want to recruit for a 6th person to have in our group? This is my only PF1 game now. I like it because it is low bandwidth when it comes to leveling the character.
Hmm
| GM Bret |
I think we will need another player, yes.
We have struggled at times and Shieara’s channels have been what pulled us through. At higher levels things like Freedom of Movement, Death Ward, Neutralize Poison and Restoration can be game changers.
Ideally I would like to recruit for a cleric. If we can’t get that, I think we need another front line melee fighter.

I'm sorry, guys! I hope you can find a replacement player/cleric soon. In the meantime, feel free to mark me/Shie inactive if you like; I'm still around on Hangouts and Discord if you guys need to touch base with me on PaizoCon plans or anything like that.

I'll be at PaizoCon too! DunDraCon is my responsibility, Kubla is one of the other VO's problem.

So would you all like me to advertise in Flaxseed that we're looking for a roleplaying level 4 Core character who would be a good match for our group, and that we may be considering several different candidates as we balance our group's needs?
Hmm
Damiar Apastron

If Kate, Dennis and Oladon are amenable, let's open a recruitment.
Hmm

Ok with me (and Kate, who's sitting next to me).
| DM Khel |
@GM Khel,
Did you remember to mark the game as Core in reporting?
Yes, thanks to the big red warning text telling me all the characters would be converted to Classic if I did not do so.
| GM Bret |
I would like to suggest a slight change to our itinerary.
Currently it is listed as:
Level 4: 04-11 The Disappeared, 05-02 The Wardstone Patrol
Level 5: 05-14 Day of the Demon, 05-12 DoS 1: A Bitter Bargian, 05-15 DoS 2: Race to Seeker's Folly
Level 6: 05-16 DoS 3: Sanctum of the Sages, 04-17 Tower of the Ironwood Watch, 05-06 You Have What You Hold
I would like to suggest we move Day of the Demon (3-7) until after Destiny of the Sands Part 3. We could also move Wardstone Patrol (also a 3-7) until then.
We may want to move Traitor’s Lodge (3-7) up a little as well, for much the same reason.
That way Damiar wouldn’t need to slow track and Ironshanks could do less slow tracking.
We have plenty of time to discuss this, just wanted to bring it up now.
Kleines Johann
|
Fine with me. They're both going to have to do exactly the same amount of slowtracking evenetually, though, if we see this all the way through, they just won't have to do it as soon.

Do it at higher level. It's nice to have abilities!

I'm here. Been out ice fishing the last few days. Easy to avoid the virus there :)
I'll get caught up today or tomorrow. Lots of crazy to deal with at the moment.

Welcome, Ironshanks! Very glad to have you with us!
You may have notice that our spreadsheet for games has names other than those used here - just so you know who's who a bit, since we refer to each other by various names, I am Chris. I'm Khelreddin or DM Khel on the boards here.
I play in RL a lot with Kate and Dennis, in the SF Bay Area, and have played with Bret and Hmm (Hilary) at PaizoCon several times.

Hi Chris! I'm Joe, I live in Maine and I've managed to lead a double life so far of a geek and an outdoorsman. This time of year its icefishing and maple syrup making season.
I've played with Bret and Hilary a fair bit and I believe I've been a player under DM Khel at least once, but I don't remember which character...
I don't believe I've played with/under Kate, and I probably have played under Dennis at least once. Glad to join the team!

Good to see you Joe! Look forward to playing with Ironshanks!
Iovo is looking forward to meeting you.

I find it curious that when I make a character with some racial 'tension', HMM is always playing that race... and with this table it appears poor Ironshanks got himself into a heap of angst with what.. 3 Elves?
His level of bigotry is more annoyance than that of Mr Peppers and Gnomes.
Looking forward to some fun with new and old acquaintances. I'll look through Ironshanks this weekend to re-familiarize myself, since its been a bit since I've played him.

Didn’t you get the memo? Everyone loves the chaos twins!
Kleines Johann

At least he has one dwarf friend, at least when Khel is playing rather than GMing.
Ironshanks Magee
|
I didn’t think about it that way. It is true that eventually they would have to do the same amount of slow tracking.
Massee and HMM, when would you prefer to slow track? Get it over with right away, or do it at a little higher level?
Since I'm already +1 level, but only 1xp above, I'll wait and slow track so we hit level 6 together. You can never have enough gold on a fighter!
Kleines Johann

Dwarf friends! (Though Khel does sort of prefer rocks to people...)
I mean, I knew Garif preferred rocks to people....I didn't know Khel felt that way about us too! :P

Alright, since both of the players who would slow track would like to put it off a little, I will move things around.
Does this look acceptable?
Level 4: 04-11 The Disappeared (1-5), 05-12 DoS 1: A Bitter Bargain (1-5)
Level 5: 05-15 DoS 2: Race to Seeker's Folly (1-5), 05-16 DoS 3: Sanctum of the Sages (3-7), 05-02 The Wardstone Patrol (3-7)
Level 6: 05-14 Day of the Demon (3-7), 05-06 You Have What You Hold (3-7), 04-17 Tower of the Ironwood Watch (5-9),
I have never played Tower of the Ironwood Watch. If there is some connection between it and one of the other scenarios listed above let me know so we can rearrange things.

Sounds good to me.
Looks like I'll get to complete at least the second faction goal after all. Do any of those happen to check off the first goal as well? I love me some faction goals!
(1/2) Participate in an adventure that features Grandmaster Torch, Pasha Muhlia al-Jakri, or Thurl. Faction missions do not fulfill this goal.
(1/2) Successfully complete a scenario in Season 4 of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Guild: Season of Factions’ Favor.

Should have no trouble checking that one off. I’m not sure what the wording about faction missions means, but I know that DoS has Grandmaster Torch in it.
(1/2) Successfully complete a scenario in Season 4 of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Guild: Season of Factions’ Favor.
You would have to do the Adventure Card game to check that off. You could do that outside this game.
I don’t play the adventure card game. Tried it and was not captivated by it. Took too long for a card game, nearly as long as a scenario does.

So I'll wait for a GM cue to enter into gameplay. Seems like you're in the downtime between one game and the next I assume?
Iovo Apastron
|
Yup.
Dennis will be running the next adventure and he said he needed to finish up some stuff with Outpost III before he would have an opportunity to start it. This is run a lot slower than Red Arm,
If you want to start introductions, that is probably fine. Let’s see if we can’t get a few people posting about their downtime so you can pick someone to interact with.

Bret had asked earlier for a little peek behind the curtain
Furious at Damian for ceding
Ostergarde to the Blakros family—Tancred has been
using the site for his own purposes and does not want
it falling into others’ hands—the conjurer sets a plan in
motion to prevent anyone from leaving the island, thus
keeping news of the announcement from spreading.
During the time his crew needs to cast off, Tancred
calls in several favors owed to him by demonic allies, and
summons a host of demons to prevent anyone from leaving
Pariol Island. Realizing that if the attack fails, it could
be traced back to him, Tancred calls the shadow demon
Arastrax to lead the assault, giving it instructions to act as
a member of the Onyx Alliance and personally oversee the
slaughter of the guests assembled at the pavilion.
After Desimire’s ship departs, a swarm of demons
comes ashore and overwhelms the pier guards, spreading
out across the island to murder everyone present.
Arastrax uses its magic jar spell-like ability to possess a
mercenary named Alistair Fourchek, then enters the
pavilion to address the crowd. Using Fourchek’s body,
Arastrax takes the stage and proclaims itself “Arastrax of
the Onyx Alliance” (a lie to throw the wedding’s attendees
off Desimire’s trail). The demon goes on to tell the guests
it has them surrounded and will soon feast on their
souls, and that none shall live to escape Pariol Island.
The sound of yelling, screaming, and combat erupts
outside the pavilion, as the Blakros mercenaries battle
the demonic hosts elsewhere on the island.
In short, Tancred was grumpy because he lost his party house/demonic research lab/tax shelter/whatever and decided to kill every single person at the wedding, so that the announcement of the property transfer would not be publicly known.
