Sounds like this scenario is almost done.
Our plan had:
Level 4: 04-09 The Blakros Matrimony, 04-11 The Disappeared, 05-02 The Wardstone Patrol
Do we want to change up that order in any way, and who would like to GM the next scenario? Chris is listed on the spreadsheet as a potential GM for Blakros Matrimony.
| DM Khel |
I can probably get that started, but would need a break or slowdown for a couple of weeks after Christmas, as I’ll be traveling with my family.
Shieara Enric

^I'm good with that and also fine with taking a break while you're out of town.

Since I’m looking to level Iovo, time to ask if we want the option of a second person with stealth in the group? I believe Rees is the only one with skill ranks in it at the moment, but I could have Iovo pick up the skill.
Right now she has full ranks in:
Disable Device
Escape Artist
Kn: Arcana
Perception
She is working on adding Spellcraft and Acrobatics to that list. When she buys an Int booster, it will max another skill — most likely Kn: Planes given what season of scenarios we are going through. :)
Feedback welcome.

Ok, folks, HERE are your chronicles. As always, let me know if I messed something up. I hope everyone had fun, despite the...let's call them 'excesses' of the scenario.
Shieara Enric

My chronicle looks good, thank you! :)
Iovo Apastron

Chronicle looks good.
Doesn't look like I can check any FJC boxes this time. The only possibility would be recruiting the Mad Painter, and I really don't think they are the type the Dark Archive is looking for. :)

I don't say this enough but thank you to everyone that's willing and able to run our various scenarios, no matter the format. I really don't know how some of you guys manage to do all the things you do IRL and GM/play multiple games and do it well.

I need to level up Kleines, I think. I'll try to get that done tonight.
Iovo Apastron

I believe everyone except Shieara should be 4th level.
We are still low tier, but it is low tier on a 3-7!

No rush on my end, I just wanted to get us going before the holidays really hit - because I said I would.
Shieara Enric

Since it's looking like we may end up taking the bigger guest ship out, I'll try and get a shopping list for Shieara done sometime tonight; she's got a fair chunk of gold burning a hole in her pocket and she probably needs to spend some of it :)

So nice of the scenario to suggest something that doesn't exist in Core...:P

Just Ambrus being helpful!

Okay, so...Shieara will buy the following:
Courtier's Outfit - 30 gp
Handy Haversack - 2,000 gp
Breastplate - 200 gp
Cloak of Resistance +1 - 1,000 gp
She'll sell the following for half-price:
Backpack - 1 gp
Chain Shirt - 50 gp
This leaves her with 1,560 gold.
Iovo Apastron
|
1510, since you want some accessories as well.
If you wear this outfit without jewelry (costing an additional 50 gp), you look like an out-of-place commoner.
Phinellippa Dioptrice

I’m afraid I will need the weekend to level Phinellippa!
Kleines Johann

Kleines will purchase the following:
Iovo Apastron

Iovo will be buying courtier’s outfit plus some accessories, 80 gp.
Damiar Apastron

Damiar will also be purchasing a sylvan dior courtier's outfit plus some accessories, 80 gp! She is also leaving her bedroll back at the lodge because that courtier's outfit is heavy.
Hmm
Shieara Enric
|
Okay yeah, forgot that part - Shieara will buy the jewelry as well.

No worries, Kate. I had a work road trip I had to make today, I can move us along gently and you level up as you have time.

There were some questions about attire and gear, and I found this just now, further on in the scenario:
PROPER WEDDING ATTIRE
While PCs are not outright forbidden from carrying weapons or wearing armor at the wedding, their primary purpose on the island is to make a good impression. Thus, the Pathfinders are expected to dress appropriately for the occasion, and they take penalties in social situations should they appear out of place.
Armor: All attendees are permitted to wear light armor, especially if it’s worn under fine clothes. Characters wearing medium armor take a –2 penalty on all Charisma-based checks, and characters wearing heavy armor take a –4 penalty, because of their armor’s bulk and constant creaking and clanking. A PC wearing glamered armor that appears to be ceremonial or parade armor incurs no such penalties. Similarly, if a PC holds an official title earned by spending Prestige Points such as Armiger, Diplomat, Eagle Knight, Pasha, or Risen (see Chapters 2 and 5 of Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Pathfinder Society Field Guide for more information) and the PC can reasonably claim his or her armor is part of an official uniform, the PC may wear the armor without penalty.
Weapons: All attendees at the party save the Blakros mercenaries are required to peace-bond their weapons. Drawing a peace-bonded weapon is a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity. Characters who don’t wish to peace-bond their weapons may attempt to hide the weapons on their bodies or fake the peace-bonding of their weapons; refer to the Sleight of Hand rules on page 104 of the Core Rulebook. One-handed and two-handed weapons are larger and harder to falsely peace-bond, imparting a –2 and –4 penalty on Sleight of Hand checks, respectively. Additionally, spells such as disguise self can create an illusion of a peace-bonded weapon, but all characters interacting with someone under such a spell receive a saving throw to notice the subterfuge. If a character is caught with a weapon that isn’t peace-bonded, Blakros mercenaries confiscate the weapon and return it only when the offending PC is preparing to depart the island. Any characters who refuse to turn over contraband weapons are asked to leave the reception area and return to their temporary lodging on the island.
Magic Items: Wands can be carried openly as long as they do not contain offensive spells. A PC carrying one must spend one charge of the wand to display the function to the guards. Scrolls, extracts, and potions are indecipherable to the guards and can be carried without penalty.

Since there is only one round of influence checks on the boat, do you want me to spend my one round in Discovery for a given NPC, or just go straight to entertaining people?
| DM Khel |
Is that a question for me? If so, it doesn't make any difference, it's just treated as an additional round of influence, as if you were already on the island with these folks.
If the question wasn't meant for me, well, never mind.
Iovo Apastron
|
Pretty sure it was meant for the party.
Getting the bonus likely allows more people to be able to make the influence checks. Given that, I would say go for the discovery.
As tempting as singing is, I plan to go for Discovery using Kn: Local.

Since we are allowed light armor under our fancy clothes, Kleines will pick up a chain shirt as well.
Iovo Apastron
|
If you want to bring but not wear your armor, we could stick it in my handy haversack.
Kleines Johann
|
Thanks. Kleines has plenty of carrying capacity (he's up to 22 STR with his shiny new belt), but it would be a little strange walking around with a giant backpack at a fancy party. I can carry it if you don't have room for 30 lbs of breastplate in there.
Shieara Enric

^Given the circumstances I suppose Shie will carry her new breastplate in her handy haversack too.

Great thing about the Handy Haversack is it is much smaller on the outside. Think of it as an oversized purse!
Besides, people expect elves to be weird.
Shieara Enric

Nope, no confusion. I had to OOC read up on what the People's Council is but based on the quick blurb I found I can see Shieara being a fan - or at least more supportive of elected officials than the monarchy/aristocracy :)
| DM Khel |
Ah, then I just didn't get it. I read it as relating to the commander staying on top of security issues. Going to bed now...

Happy Holidays, y'all. As I indicated, I'll be traveling with family Dec 27 to Jan 12. I may be able to post some, but it will be on the slow side.

It's New Year's Eve (well, the morning of)! 2019 has been a very good year and I hope it's been equally as good to all of you. If not, I hope the next year will be better.
Do I have any resolutions?
Well... ;)
May we all get even cooler in 2020 :)

It seems you guys may have been trying to support Bedard when he spoke up (based on Iovo's inner monologue and Kleine's speech to Bedard), but it sounded like you were offering an opinion different from, even counter to, what he said, and that is particularly called out in the scenario as how to lose influence with him. Sorry if I misunderstood your intent, but you're on the road to winning him back at this point.
Kleines Johann
|
Oh, I was definitely disagreeing with him, I'm just trying to win him back now.
Iovo Apastron

I disagreed with the interruption but did not feel it was an invalid complaint — only a problem when looked at in context.
Your call seemed justified to me.
I will also be trying to win him back if given a chance. At that time I would explain how I respected his viewpoint, but provided the two being married were following their dreams (Iovo did put that provision in when speaking up) she would fully support the bride and groom.
Just as she would fully expect any follower of Shelyn or several other gods to support him.

So, carrying the sister brings up a few questions.
Is the sister more than about 80 lbs? I am carrying 36.5 lbs, but could adjust that a little. HL shows my max as 115 lbs.
Would putting her cloak over the sister make them both invisible? Basically a fireman’s carry with the cloak over her?
My other option is put her on a floating disk, but then she certainly isn’t invisible. On the other hand, I don’t think anyone present wants her hurt.
| DM Khel |
Yeah, Ms. Blakros definitely weighs more than 80 pounds based on her art - she'd have to be drawn as very diminutive indeed to be that light. She's probably at least 120. I think you could drag her across the sand, but that would make your position pretty obvious to anyone paying attention.
I don't think covering her with the cloak would turn her invisible, since the spell says "items picked up disappear if tucked into the clothing or pouches worn by the creature" - I don't think you'd be able to that completely enfold her in the cloak. And the spell is supposed to affect one creature, so I don't think you could add another person to it that way.
I'll point out that if all the enemies are dead or unconscious, they won't see what you're doing either...
Iovo Apastron
|
Given the current situation, dragging her across the sand is not warranted.
Guess we will see how combat goes this round. I am hoping Olaf doesn’t last much longer.
Stupid cure stick! Not fair that they just work for my sister and give me issues! ;)
