The market opens. They seem happy to buy many of your wares, but after the sell off the first day, the market seems somewhat glutted from sales the previous day. Nevertheless, the smaller ticket items do seem to be sold.
The armor is obviously a larger ticket item and brings a serious offer of 2200gp from a collector. You do not know if holding on to it will result in a better offer.
There is a prominent donation station to the 'Lady of Graves' and many of the more religious treasure hunters seem to donate with earnest. Most of the foreigners, especially the Thassilonians, seem to scoff at the prospect of giving money to the temple. At the tavern the conversation with the mercenaries seems to center around the next day's lottery.

Umbryl Char |

Sooo, if available, Umbryl will purchase a MW longsword-315gp, 4 potions of CLW-200gp, 10MW bolts-61gp, a chain shirt-100gp and an Ioun torch-75gp for a total of 751gp. If that exceeds our gp, I'll drop 2 of the potions and the chain shirt for a total of 551 gp. All contingent upon availability of course....533+440 would be 973gp ea. unless I'm reading the loot chart wrong? Gonna forgo the infernal healing shtick, can't see Umbryl using unholy water OR devils blood really....

Umbryl Char |

After shopping and equipping his purchases, Umbryl will sit and drink quietly at the tavern. Having learned his lesson, he doesn't brag about his exploits, merely listens to the others.
Came really close to dying in that one, need to be more careful. Good companions though. We make a decent team.
He smiles and takes a drink, nodding at the adventurers around him.
I hope those loud mouthed groups don't disturb the evening.

Sabola |

GM, so the 973 number is good to go? I'll equip up and post my new self later.
And we're still level 1 right? At level 2 guys, I'll go ahead and take CLW to help with the healing, so we're not constantly blowing all our money on consumable healing.

Setesh Bantling |

Wealth By Level assumes that some money is spent on consumables. Wands of CLW are good for out-of-combat healing, allowing the party to press on, and finish a dungeon in one day, rather than having to retreat and rest to regain healing spells.
Healing spells are good for in-combat healing, when required (with Heal being the best one, of course).

![]() |

breath of life and heal might be a wee bit beyond my capability at the moment. I'll note my purchases when I get up tomorrow, (night night for me)

Umbryl Char |

Heh. Haven't seen that pushy loudmouthed lady tonight. Nice. Hope my companions get here soon though. Drinkin' by oneself usually leads to trouble, gotta remember to sip.
Umbryl thinks to himself as he orders another mead.

Setesh Bantling |

"Geez, what's her problem...", Setesh mutters after the mage has left.
After enjoying a restful evening in, he quietly returns to his room for a good night's sleep, eager to be refreshed for whatever the next assignment is.

Umbryl Char |

" Just a local mead. Not a drinker most of the time, but I felt like celebrating after that tomb."
So much for that...
Crap. I was hoping she'd not show up with her rant today. Ah well. Sooo, if by chance we draw this Eye thing....We gonna let her know? I'm against it myself, she's a .... Well you know."
He sips his drink remaining as long as anyone else in the group does, but not too late, needing an early start.....

Dusty enters the bar, sees the party and comes over to sit at their table. She is wearing a new scimitar on her belt.
dawn flowers blessing on you. Anything interesting happening

Umbryl Char |

Umbryl perks up a bit when spells are mentioned...
" Yeah? I completed my studies on a couple of new spells myself. Now I can cast a mesmerizing spray of color, and a cone of fire. Though I don't have the fire one prepared. I've also stretched my limits a little. I can cast another cantrip and another 1st order spell each day..."
" Heya Dusty. Nice Scimmie by the way..."

GM Tribute |

You head to the estate on the next day. Sebti has assigned you the Pentheru Estate as your crypt to explore.
Sandstone walls ten feet high enclose this estate, affording those who once lived inside some privacy. A two-story stone house is visible beyond the walls, adjoining the rear wall of the property. In the center of the estate’s southern wall stands a pair of tarnished bronze gates hanging partially open. A pair of statues flanks the gate. Dusty hieroglyphs are carved into the wall at eye level to the left of the gate.
The hieroglyphs read “House of Pentheru” in Ancient Osiriani. The statues depict two men with a regal bearing and dressed in loose, short robes and traditional Osirian head cloths. Sabola points out small hieroglyphs on the statues’ bases that identify the figures as Pentheru the Elder and Pentheru the Younger. The bronze gates are decrepit and appear to have been broken open long ago.
As you approach the outer courtyard....
Dust and sand cover the ground of this small courtyard. To the east and west stand pairs of columns, once brightly painted and now bleached from the sun, which support stone archways leading to other section of the property. Tarnished bronze gates hang open under both arches. To the north, a small flight of steps leads up to a pair of ornate doors in the south wall of the house between another set of columns.
The wind has obliterated any tracks or signs of passage in the courtyard, giving the impression that no one has entered the grounds in years.

Dusty has a careful look around. Oh and before entering applies vermin repellent to herself. Lasts 4 hours.
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Umbryl Char |

Having carried his loaded crossbow through the Necropolis, Umbryl will lift it up to his shoulder as he too peers inside the gates to see what may be seen.
perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
" Aww. Crap dust in my eye..." He says as he fails to see anything through his slightly blurred vision...

Sabola |

Sabola turns to his companions, "shame Faisal left, but I understand, this is tough work, and not everyone is up to it. However, the Dawnflower sent me, and I am in this for the long haul. What say you others?"

GM Tribute |

Before leaving you ascertain that Sebti the Crocodile is in charge of when the lottery progresses. She extended you a day's grace period and received a lot of grief for it. You do not know if she will do it again.
The east and west have archways leading around the grounds, but you move up the stairs to the manor proper.
As you approach the crumbling gated entrance, the sound of an angry mob can be heard outside the walls. A woman’s voice cries out in Ancient Osiriani, “Hold the gates! Don’t let them inside the compound!” Powerful blows shake and rattle the gates, and you feel the fear of the woman inside the manor.

Sabola |

Will: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 gtg
Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 in case this will help me understand what is going on.
Sabola steps forward and in a commanding voice, "Good people, mob justice is rarely the solution to disagreements, so stand down while the priestess here looks into this. By the Dawnflower, you will not harm her, and make way."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Sabola will work to make a path for Dusty.

Sabola |

Oh! so none of these people are real then? Darn, wasted a decent Intimidate roll, hahaha
"What now priestess? Do we go around to the side? There is a haunt here. Perhaps we should watch the haunt, and learn what we can from it?"

Sabola |

Sabots recognizes that a small haunt is guarding the threshold.
You posting from an iphone? I can see why one would change Sabola to Sabots!

Umbryl Char |

" I'm in it for the long haul. My research into the weakness' of Undead requires more information, and much more money to be completed."
will save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
" Hmm. That was weird..."

![]() |

will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
know religion on haunts: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 +1 if undead
obviously not paying attention in class that day when this was discussed.

![]() |

A type of spook I reckon. Light of the dawnflower cast you out. Begone shade
Dusty moves into the haunt with her hand on her symbol.
channel energy vs undead: 1d6 ⇒ 4
really don't know if this will work, don't know much about haunts. Like dusty it seems, lol

Sabola |

Sabola is prepared to defend Dusty if needed.
Completely OOC! Most haunts need to be "solved" per se. There's probably some weird mystery here. I'd bet we'll find more haunts, showing scenes in the "story." Murder mystery, or spurned lover sort of stuff.

Umbryl Char |

" Sooo... Do we go in to the house itself or check the exterior first?"Ponders Umbryl.
" House looks pretty big. Maybe we should scout around out here first? Let's just be careful though, that tomb took a lot out of us."

![]() |

Dusty looks around and sees setesh making tracks.
setesh is affected by the spook. While we wait for his return, lets check out the exterior.
