Etune pulls out a tanglefoot bag and readies to throw it as soon as something comes through the door, after moving to get a better shot at it.

"And thank you for the use of your rope Iago It is good to be amongst pathfinders who know the meaning of cooperate "

"Hey! I was the one who got the monsters." She shifts to her indoor shouty voice after a glance at Iago.

Tajan lifts her lantern to Pollyanna "Bringer of light I thank you. Your valour was never in question " Tajan places two of the stones in his belt and holds the other ready to throw in his other hand.

"Nobody else want one? " he asks showing the stone in his hand

Tajan hands out his enchanted rocks to any who need it, then gives Barret the nod to open the door. Inside, Barret sees the southern half of this room appears to be furnished as a dining area, complete with a long wooden table, several chairs, and shelves sporting a collection of crude pieces of crockery. A large altar of stone dominates the northern half of the room. Rusty chains set along the northern wall and the dried bloodstains covering the stone altar hint at this room’s function. More importantly, three armored figures occupy the room, one standing amid the bones laid out on the table, towering over the room, and two with bows ready on the far side of the table. "More bodies for the mistresses ranks!" the hobgoblin on the table crows. His form is hazy and indistinct around the edges as he hefts a scythe.

The halfling charges in but ducks to the right to grab the corner before holding up her hand in a familiar fashion and aiming it at the hobgoblin on the table! He doesn't appear to be a caster and he's fuzzy, so she's thinking he's a ghost or something funky like that!

The blast of magical energy strikes the warrior full in the chest...and he looks down, then back at Etune. "Puny mage. Shoot him!" The archer leans around for a clear shot, loosing an arrow at Etune. The head strikes the wall above the halfling and clatters to the floor.

"HEY! Those things are dangerous! What sort of terrible person shoots at an adorable little girl, and then to mistakes her for a boy! Though I suppose in the right outfit she would make a cute, chibi bishonen." You can almost hear the internal squee sound. Etune feels her cheeks get mentally pinched. Apollyanna drags her attention away from the gnome girl. "You hobgoblins should be ashamed of yourselves! Lying around like a bunch of smelly monsters in a basement! Get your acts together! Selfish, lazy louts!"

The hobgoblin warrior looks at Etune a second time. "Bah. It's all the same when the meat is gone." he growls in irritation.

Stepping on in, Iago shrugs at the warrior on the table. "My man... I have no idea what she's saying" he deadpans before swinging his blade at the creature's legs.

"Now this is something that I can help with..."

Stephen casts a spell, causing a layer of grease to appear under the feet of the three hobgoblins.

Grease, DC 18 Reflex to avoid falling prone.

Did you want to target the two on the ground or the one on the table?

I can target both - the spell description describes the area of effect as 'a 10 foot square' - so the top of the table, and the two squares behind it, right? If that is not the case, I won't cast the spell (after all, there's no point wasting it on archers, or a single target; I will instead delay to allow the melee people to do their thing).

It has to be a solid surface, so I expected that to be the floor, not the floor and the table. You could also target a weapon, but as you said that is a single target.

So: I stand by my alternate suggestion: Do nothing. Low-level wizards are fairly rubbish ;-)

Iago catches the warrior hard, but the tough hides wrapping the hobgoblin prevent the blade from cutting deep. Blood spatters on the table as the return blow is raised. But instead of a cruel cut, Iago finds himself knocked flat on his back by the blow.

I think you're going to have to be still a moment! Barret shouts to the hobgoblin that tripped Iago before casting a spell, presenting his holy symbol to the hobgoblin and praying to Gorum for his enemy's limbs to freeze. He moves into the room in front of the fireplace while doing this.

The towering warrior freezes, a grimace on his snarling face as Barret exploits a likely fatal weakness.

If Mr. Strange doesn't move, Apollyanna moves into the space just west of him and goes full-defensive for this round. +4 AC.

"GANGWAY!" shouts Tajan who will look to double move so he is adjacent to as many foes as possible (i.e. Completing the square with the three foes if mr/ms green only shoots and doesn't move. Will look to keep Pollyanna's charge lane open at all times)

"Darak!" The other archer utters a curse, or maybe a name, before loosing an arrow at Barret. As the shaft deflects off the half-orcs armor, the hobgoblin makes a break for the door.

As the wizard dodges aside, Apollyanna bulls through the gap to push the hobgoblin from the table, her shield slamming into the hide armor and sending the frozen warrior toppling to the floor. The archer steps to avoid his fallen ally as Tajan moves in to threaten.

"I. AM. NOT! ADORABLE!" Etune bellows as she runs southwards to cut off Green's escape, dropping the tanglefoot bag in the spot as she begins moving.

As she moves, her facial features harden and pale slightly and her hands lengthen into wicked white claws of a somewhat draconic nature. ...though they ARE kind of cute, though! Her right hand glows with a whitish aura as it swings at the archer attempting to escape!

The sudden assault catches the archer by surprise, but the studded leather turns the halflings claws aside, protecting the hobgoblin from a nasty slash. Threatened by Tajan, the other archer draws sword and swings! But has no better luck than Etune as he steps to get his ally out from under his feet.

Iago stands up and begins to move over towards his erstwhile tripper. "Oh, sweet sweet summer child as they say in the foothills of Andoran. I'm going to hurt you so much for that" he taunts plaintively.

"Feh. You already did." The fallen warrior complains, suddenly free of the divine compulsion.

Barret is up, green will return in kind on Etune next. Minor retcon, the hobgoblin warrior is not prone, since bull rush doesn't have the text I thought it did. Rules are weird sometimes.

In no particular hurry despite the hobgoblin getting free of his spell, calmly shuffles past Etune and takes a swipe at the archer that is trying to escape with his club, hoping to make him off balance. Show me what you can do with those claws, little menace!

The archer by the door draws sword and slashes out at Etune. The blade goes high as the halfling ducks under and dodges aside. As Barret comes in, the archer tries to catch him off guard in the approach. Once more his armor brings a smile to Gorum's face. The Lord in Iron smiles wider as Barret's blade bites deep into flesh

Got my order wrong, so here's what happened to Etune on the previous archer's action. '-_- Tajan gets missed as mentioned earlier. The rest of the party is up, let's see if my bad guys get another round to inflict damage.

Etune murmurs that to Barret as she focuses that energy on her claws once more and takes two swipes at the archer who has chosen to fight.

He then strikes adding a smite energy to harm the living (swift) and stunning fist to his open palm attack (dropping his stone)

Stephen continues to await an opportune moment to employ his arcane might. Apollyanna strikes out at the warrior but is unable to pierce his armor. Tajan however strikes true, rocking the archer back. While his resolve keeps him from losing his sword, the might of Irori is too much for him to resist. He fights on, heavily wounded, readying a shield as he strikes. His slash is savage, aimed for the monks neck, but skids off armor to cut Tajan's scalp. On the other front, Etune gouges her target savagely.

Seeing that his erstwhile foe is otherwise occupied, Iago goes around the corner of the altar. "Don't mind me, this is how I worship... whoever this is. It's a cultural thing" he jests for the remaining archer's benefit before attempting to skewer him on his sword.

Iago cuts down the archer without a pause, the hobgoblin unable to avoid the onslaught of three opponents. The warrior spins his scythe in a whirl of flashing blade, but the stiffness of the paralysis prevents him from connecting with either Pathfinder. "You'll serve Urgathoa soon enough, human!" he offers as rejoinder to Iago's comment.

If you still want to get on the table, it would be a fairly simple Climb or Acrobatics check. Barret is up.

Satisfied that things are going smoothly, Stephen moves into the room, and drops Grease under the remaining hobgoblins.

Centred on the wall, so the only two squares that it actually fills are the ones occupied by the Hobs. DC 18 Reflex, or fall prone.

Neither hobgoblin is able to keep their balance in the suddenly slick patch of floor, tumbling to the ground.

When Etune's moment comes up.

The somewhat feral halfling claws, connects and her eyes gleam a bit.

As Iago cuts down the target she gives a rather nonchalant shrug and lets the claws go away, her features becoming a bit more 'normal' as she casually walks back and picks up her previously dropped tanglefoot bag.

There's an evil smile on her face as she does so...

Barret, seeing that the others have things basically well in hand, moves in close in an attempt to block the possible escape routes of the hobgoblins. He recognizes that they probably will not escape his allies, but also recognizes that it's better to be safe than without prisoners.

"Yield! You are beat!" Apollyanna says coming to stand over the fallen warrior.

Tajan strikes true, but the fighter holds on to consciousness tenaciously. The fallen archer lashes out to no avail.

Iago sets aside his vivid, defeatist thoughts and attempts the climb. Low and behold, he makes it atop the table! Looking down at his foe he deadpans. "Well you know... Actually I don't have a good one for that."

Iago brings down a mighty blow, but still the goblinoid warrior refuses to cease struggling! He rolls away from Apollyanna's measured attack and makes a desperate final stand, catching Tajan with a wicked slash that sends the monk to the ground.
