I'm in a bit of a pickle, guys. I'm stuck to the floor, so I can't move. I'm also down to 1 HP: Already had one damage, half of 15 is 7, plus 8 is 16 damage in the first round. Red hit for 7 again, then Purple and Red in the next round for 11 and 5, makes 39 ouf of 40.
I can (try to) slash myself free, but I can't five-foot step away unless I go deeper into the room, which I don't want. I can either go full defense and hope I survive, or slash at one enemy and get horribly cut down next turn.

Delay for me until I've got a plan, but I'd like to act before the gobbos do.

The tripped goblin goes full defense and stands up, provoking

To Hit (bite): 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 1 = 24
damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 = 10

But he is taken out by Droogami

Ghosting Lini

Lini uses her CLW wand on Seelah

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

She asks Droogami to attack the Southmost Goblin

Bite: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 1 = 22 Hits!
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8
Trip: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 = 8 Fails

Claw: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 1 = 13 misses
Claw: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 1 = 23 Hits!
Damage: 1d4 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 = 6

Lini moves back into the room.

"Lem, Seelah is stuck to the floor, so you have to go to her to heal!"

can the GM stop ghosting us in combat?
i realize he wants the game to go faster. but sometimes we're unable to post, and the days where we post 4 or 5 times more than make up for the days where we can't meet the minimum post requirement.

i wouldn't mind if this led to any benefit of the doubt, but we continually are getting herded into horrid choice situations. and Lini has effectively dropped from the game after Harsk left.
I believe i'm about to as well.

kyra does not hack at the goo that is going to disolve in a few rounds.
she channels, excluging the two goblins beside seelah.

channel: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8

thats her 5th and last for the day.

also, the tanglefoot bag on kyra would have missed. AC 14 doesn't seem to account for cover of throwing it past seelah at kyra, nor range increments of -2 from throwing it at a 20 ft. distance.

I included the cover, but I forgot the -2 for range of 20 feet (thought the increment was 20 istead of 10). 12 is still a hit though...

Hate to say it, but I feel the same way. I like a bit of tempo in the game, and I appreciate trying to keep things going, but right now this feels more like a meat-grinder than anything else. I'm not really having fun anymore, I'm just stating my actions rather than interacting with my teammembers and the environment. In the other PbP that's dried up by now, but at least we've had a good run. Right now I'm only posting to prevent this whole team from collapsing in on itself. I know this is a tough dungeon, I've played it before, but at least I had some fun.

I think the breakneck pace is partially to blame for this. It's what turned Harsk off from the game, and mistakes were made because we were pushed. It was made clear to me that Harsk and Lini were in charge, and I'm okay with that, but stripping me of my powers before I had a say in it (to be fair, I said I wasn't okay with it, but I trusted Harsk's judgment) and without any hint of the ramifications feels a bit harsh (though I don't begrudge you of stripping me of my powers, it's only fair).

I did not mean this as an attack on the GM, so my apologies if it seems like that, I'm just chiming in (and explaining why) with Seraphimpunk. Maybe I should've spoken up sooner (I tend to do that), and my apologies for that, but at the moment I feel like I should explain myself. I'm not saying you're a bad GM, but I would've appreciated a little more sympathy for the players.

I hope that we can come to some sort of agreement and finish this game without any more incidents, I'd hate to abandon it mid-game.

Kyra channels, excluding the wounded and dying goblin, healing Seelah for 8 points and restoring Lini to full health.

Anyone want to come out of delay?

My ghost actions:
Lem walks up heals Seelah, Seelah attacks wounded goblin.

Seelah (Entangled & Stuck to the ground..) (Delay)
Kyra (Entangled & Stuck to the ground.. 6 damage on goo)

I agree with your suggestion (at least, for my action). I'll hit the wounded Goblin.

Attack roll on Green: 1d20 + 9 + 2 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 2 - 2 + 1 = 241d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Again, +9 to hit, Heroism cancels out entanglement. Forgot to factor in performance all this time, d'oh! I'm not good with floating modifiers.

"Die, you wretched creature!"

Seelah kills the wounded goblin.

Sense Motive DC10:
With his two allies down and without a flanking buddy the remaining goblin doesn't look happy.

Assuming Lem's action won't prevent the goblin from running, he will retreat.

The surviving goblins makes a run for it!

Lini asks the rest of the group "Shall I send Droogami to take him down?"

GM dice:
Number of rounds remaining till the tanglefoot bags become brittle

Seelah scrapes the goop off her legs as well, with Power Attack.

"The goblin went back towards the dire rats, right? On the one hand, I don't like that thing calling for reinforcements, but on the other hand, that's an easy way to get overwhelmed as well. I'd say call her back."

Lini calls back Droogami and the goblin escapes.

Searching the room and the goblin bodies you find:

potions of cure light wounds (4)
vials of acid (2)
alchemist’s fire (4)
vials of bottled lighting (2)
one thunderstone
smokesticks (2)

You also find a red potion of Bull's Strength on one of the workbenches and a green potion of Cure Moderate Wounds on the other.

reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Amongst the debree of the stuff thrown off the last table you find a purple potion (invisibility)

Can someone please suggest a distribution of these items?

Lini uses 8 charges of her CLW wand to cure Seelah and Droogami back to full health.

40/40 HP | AC 22, T 10, FF 22 | Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +5| CMB+7, CMD 17 | Init +0 | Perception +1 | Speed: 20 Paladin 4

I'm crap at throwing, so I'd rather not have any of the ranged items, but I'd like some of the potions, as I'm the only one not capable of casting cure spells.
Bull's Strength would be nice for me, but maybe also for Droog or Kyra, so I won't claim it yet.

Everyone gets 1 potion of clw, bull's strength to Seelah, divide throwing weapon between me and Lini. Ill take the thunderstone.

Lini's opinion:

Bulls Strength to Seelah (Droogami is dex based, so to hit wouldn't increase)

All healingpotions to Seelah (all other characters have wands they can use).

Everyone an Alchemists Fire, rest of the splashweapons divided by Lini and Lem.

Invisibility to Kyra

I guess lets head this way.

she'll wait for everyone to get in position then open the door.

The Party assembles at the next door and Kyra opens it to reveals a chamber. This chamber appears to be equal parts study, laboratory, and personal quarters. A bed sits in one corner, and bookshelves line another. Before the recessed southern wall sits a table covered in a wide variety of alchemical devices. Thick green smoke pours from the devices, covering the chamber’s floor in a foul-smelling vapor.

On the other side of the door is a metal snake, in front of another exit you can see the puppet like creature, and behind the desk stands a man in a long trenchcoat and a scarred face.

Angrily he adresses the party "I am Krenar Half-face, who are you and why are you disrupting my experiments and destroying my test subjects?"

My apologies for inconveniencing you, but I promise that we did not know they were under your control. From our point of view, we only dispatched the aggressors we found lurking in these rooms. And not without some loss of our own, I must admit."

i don't think i can assist. gut reaction is this is the monster that's done all those horrible experiments. whether he cleared them or not, he's an abbhorent monster and deserves to be press-ganged in absolom after a trial . though mistreatment of goblins is not likely to get him in too much trouble.

:: are you kidding me ::
kyra whispers softly in the back.

"My experiments will lead to major advancements in medical sience. A great achievement for all of mankind!" the scientist proclains.

"Reimbursement. Yes. Your actions are causing a big setback. Luckily I still got my notes. However I do need new testsubjects and you managed to kill my recruiters. Get me six new testsubjects and all will be forgiven." Krenar nods.

"Most goblins have left the area, so you might need to travel a bit!"

40/40 HP | AC 22, T 10, FF 22 | Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +5| CMB+7, CMD 17 | Init +0 | Perception +1 | Speed: 20 Paladin 4

Well yeah, obviously. On the one hand I want him on trial, but not being bound to the paladin code right now, I don't really care much anymore for justice. If we can negotiate this peacefully, other people can deal with him. Maybe lax as a paladin, but I'm not the only one to dispense justice.

::Just help me out here, if we can talk our way through this, all the better. I'm sure he's responsible for all this, but we could tell that in our report. We don't have to fight, he gets his due course, everyone's happy.::
Seelah whispers back.

"Would human test subjects do? Maybe we can get some prisoners, or beggars to "volunteer" if we reimburse them."

Whispering to the rest of the group. Okay, if we go back and ask our superiors for some people, he'll let us through. We file a report, others will clean up after us, and we'll get our test subjects back, hopefully before anything terrible happens.

Not sure how much I'm bending the rules here. Feel free to call me on it. Seelah doesn't intend to let these people suffer, and hopes bureaucracy will solve this in her stead.

"Humans? No! My experiments are not ready to be tested on humans. I don't want any fatalities! I want to perfect my procedures on the lesser species!" Half-Face seems insulted by your suggestion.

Did you take in the +2 from heroism on Seelah's roll?

Sorry, my friend here did not mean to offend you... we just thought that getting you some slaves might be the easiest way, and I concur that uaing humans for this would be a grotesque debauchery of the spirit of your work. I'm sure we can come to a mutually beneficial agreement?
