kyra will take a swing at shiney (?) the one that's currently in front of her on the map. and then back away.

+1 scimitar: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 261d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
confirmation: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 211d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

possibly a crit, dunno its AC. damage would be 7 + 6 regular +2 fire damage from Flame of the Dawnflower. 15 total.

if that drops it, kyra will move away.
if not, kyra will 5 ft. step back.

Kyra kills the goblin!

screw it. two of us can open a line better !

Seeelah! Get your holy butt in here!

she prepares to step over the body, up next to Harsk, then remembers how slow Seelah is and stops.

I will post for Harsk in 90 minutes. I cant acess R20 at work. This is going to be an important move. Sorry for the wait.

I didn"t see that Kyra already went. Well that ruins my plan and as Harsks action will now be pointles...

Harsk will remain in total defense and Biter will stay.

kyra looks confused.
was harsk asking for something else? if you want to retreat, now's a great time for that too, you'll provoke AoOs, but we can retreat so lem can land his sleep spell, maybe. i'm still in a great position for you to retreat and cover you.

40/40 HP | AC 22, T 10, FF 22 | Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +5| CMB+7, CMD 17 | Init +0 | Perception +1 | Speed: 20 Paladin 4

Seelah takes her action, moves 20 feet, then attacks Bitey, hoping to free more space to spread out.

Longsword to Bitey: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 161d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

"Consider my 'holy butt' summoned."

Kyra, you didn't do anything wrong, I just don't have enough time to keep up with what is going on and I thought we were pushing INTO the room, not retreating. The confusion is all me. :)

On that note - I really don't have enough time in my day to do PBP play and I am going ot need to leave this game.

I think this party is really funny and the RP is a blast ("Consider my holy butt summoned LOL). So I regret it a bit but if I'm going to go, I need to do it now before we get into the dungeon.

Hopefully, as the game has just started, grabbing a replacement will be easy. Best of luck to you all, and even Auke in his attempts to stop you! >:)

Grand Lodge

I am a tad nervous myself, working 8 hours and sleeping 4 is putting me behind on this game and when I do post I screw up. I'm sticking with it, and I wish Harsk could stay, I really enjoy his posts, I just think this is a very different flavour of pbp than either of us were expecting. As for my "next 8 hours", just have me shooting whatever is closest to me, Droog attacking, and when it's over with trying to investigate the goblins closer.

Purple continues his journey to the exit.

Green, Red and Yellow attack the newest arrival! (Seelah)

Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 Miss
Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 Miss
Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 Hit

Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 Miss
Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 Miss
Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 Miss

Claw: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 1 = 9 Miss
Claw: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 1 = 24 Threat
Confirmation: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 1 = 19 Miss

Damage Total: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 4) + 4 = 9

Lem finishes his sleep spell (placing the area in such a way speedy and Army are in it).

Willsafe Speedy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20 Succes
Willsafe Army: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10 Failure

completely oblivious that one of them is making his way out of the dungeon altogether
kyra will delay on her turn, to act after Seelah,

Step in a bit more

Lini! we've got room for Droo if he doesn't mind drawing a little fire!

I'll ghost a bit to speed things up.

Lem, Lini and Droogami delay for a moment

Scaly attacks Harsk

Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Seelah attacks bitey
To Hit: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 Hits
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Drops the goblin!

Kyra steps in and attacks Speedy
To Hit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Misses

Lini draws a scroll of barkskin and casts it on Droogami, before sending him to attack the speedy goblin.

Droogami attacks, but provokes from speedy

Speedy AoO: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 1 = 19 Misses (due to the Barkskin)

Droogami retaliates

To Hit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 Hits
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 Seriously injures the Goblin
Trip: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 and trips it!

The goblins start whimpering!

Goblin:

has harsk left the building yet? (meat-a-forically).

I've asked him if he could participate in at least 1 more encounter, so I hope he will do so. Timezone wise he'd probably reply in about 3 to 4 hours.

Was my first hit on Bitey not enough to drop him, or did I miss? Either you missed my post, or I acted twice in one round. >_>
Also, minor issue I didn't want to fight about before, but if someone is ten feet up, and I occupy a five-feet square, shouldn't I be able to hit it? The squares are adjacent diagonally.

Explanation:
You missed the first time (AC was 19). This was a new round (round 3 IINM), so a new attempt.

[G] 10 feet up
[E] 05 feet up
[P] 00 ground level

G=Goblin, E=Empty, P=Paladin

If the goblin was 5 feet up you could have hit it, but he was 10 feet up, so there was a complete square between the paladin and the goblin.

Ah, minor misinterpretation on squares on my part. Apologies if I sounded like a jerk.

My answer is yes. I'll keep playing. Auke is correct, this isn't going to be too hard with all the healing ability in this party.

Harsk Withdraws and repositions himself! Biter does his own thing.

You stabilize and tie up the remaining goblins and you can start the interrogation/interview/conversation/torture/bribing...

You'll need 4 CLW wand charges to heal everyone up. I assume Kyra will use her wand this time.

Seelah_PbP wrote:

No worries, you need a lot more to convince me of any jerkness. BTW, If you have any doubts about the way I interpret the rules, just PM me. No need to clutter the thread. :-)

Right, so, no need to charm 'em I guess, as this seems to have subdued them just fine. Lini, you speak Goblin, right? Why on Golarion would want to learn goblin!?

Grand Lodge

Lini sighs and runs her fingers through her long green hair. This is far from ideal, but I'll make due. Walking over to Speedy "Could you describe the person who did this to you, nine hells, what DID they do to you? trying to compose herself "Ok, better question, when is the last time you saw whoever did this to you, are they still here?"

Lini continues glancing around the room for anything that might explain how this happened to them, be it surgery, magic, alchemy, or some combination.

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13

"Krenar Halfface! He longshank, he make us 'better', it hurts. He experements on us every day!"

Oi Lini! Ask em how they got out of the cells? Someone let em out? ...some..thing?"

"The dolly let us out! The master sees everything the dolly sees..."

Grand Lodge

"Strange, I have heard familiars act like that, also Harsk, I may have heard wrong, but I believe they understood you!"

What would I need to roll to know if I know any lore on Krenar Halfface?

"Stupid dwarf doesn't know we listen Taldane!"

What would I need to roll to know if I know any lore on Krenar Halfface?

Knowledge local

Grand Lodge

"Have any of you heard of this Krenar Halfface? I fear I missed the session on Echo Woods and their pageantry?"

Giving someone with Knowledge Local a chance to shine, as far as language barriers, assume I'm translating. Busy day at work and posting from my phone is a pain in the rear

GM Auke wrote:

Yeah so let's heal up and then (after you all find out any information you can) head down those stairs. That stupid doll is probably going to be waiting for us but if we turn around it'll be at our backs.

Harsk grumbles loudly "Mutatated watermelon heads. Can't wait do a good deed for the day and end their sufferin"

not sure if any of my searches remained canon, so I'll say I am searching the room to identify what happened here, Heal is +11, Nature +11, Perception +12, Spellcraft +8, I'll let you roll however many times need be. I am intentionally staying out of the Knowledge(local) parts because I have been doing a LOT of talking and I want someone else to get a chance to shine, an area my character has no skill in is a great chance at that.

It's been 15 hours since the knowledge check. I think its safe to say we can move on. Stairs, or back out the door we came in? Whichever way it is, we should have Seelah take point. I dont think my perception will save us in this place.

Let's make sure the 'dolly' doesn't untie our little 'friends' here while we move on... Harsk, care to put them out of their misery?

Lem says, as he takes out his short sword.

Harsk nods.

With the Goblins behind bars and the party safely out of reach, he'll conclude the business. For those who watch, he does so without a smile or any enthusiasm.

Afterards he'll retrieve any bolts that are in tact and silently clean his equipment. "When yer ready Seelah."

Grand Lodge

Lini gives a tight nod and commands Droogi to heel tightly by her side

I take point, open the next door? I presume everyone moves up to me before initiating combat. >_>

Grand Lodge

yes, and did I miss a memo, is the dm afk? Please Move me up to y'all before combat, bout to crash for the night

Timezones... I'm just waking up (5:30am)

Executing prisoners that surrendered, while they are tied up in cells. That's bad.

It seems this roomw was used to hold goblins captive while they were expirimented on.

As you search the room you find a beltpouch with 14 gp, 8sp and a severed human finer still wearing an emerald-faceted ring worth 200gp.

As Seelah and Harsk follow the stairs to the SE they see the following:

This grand chamber appears to be some sort of observation laboratory. The northern section is raised, and contains rotten benches for watching the experiments below. The southern half of the chamber is dominated by a dais on which is set a heavily stained table. It appears that something has dug through the walls of this room, creating two tunnels out of the chamber.

Staircases to the northwest and northeast lead out of the viewing area, and wooden doors flank the southwest and southeast sides of the dais. Large stone doors stand south of the dais.

A trio of dire rats have claimed this room as their living quarters.

Lem uses detect magic on the ring.

No magic

Let's not confuse evil goblins who are doing anything to survive with fair combatants who were taken prisoner. They're also a hated race of 1) dwarves and 2) Iomedae. So I'm pretty sure we're good, not bad. Unless there's a Goblin rehab center somewhere in Absalom the PFS didn't tell us about. Or a Goblin jail? =)

Just filling the time with chatter while waiting for everyone to move their tokens. Not sure how to proceed with the rats in the room.
