if she can't, she'll step back and channel. channel: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 5) = 10 lol. actually works out better. hah, i hope he's right up in my face. If i'm healed, do i remove the staggered condition and gain a move action? if so i draw my sword since i couldn't have it out while climbing down. if not, i'm unarmed, can't provide flank at the moment. just need to try to heal 35 damage real quick...

Ghosting Lini
As it has been some time since Lini has cast Speak with animals, I'll rule she still has only 5 rounds left of the 3 minutes.
Lini takes out her wand of Magic Fang and uses it on her snow leopard's bite.
"Droogami, can you find that smelly goblin and attack him?"
Droogami jumps down Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19 and lands on its feet. The cat moves, stops and attacks the square to the north east.
Bite: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 1 + 1 = 25 misschance, high is good: 1d100 ⇒ 16
But the cat fails to connect to anything.

Lem grabs his scroll of glitterdust and readies casting it to when the goblin becomes visible again, taking as little party members in de blast as possible (excluding himself).

GM Auke |

Snarltongue becomes visible as his axe swings towards Kyra.
Rage, Power attack, from invis
To Hit: 1d20 + 10 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 10 + 2 - 2 = 16 Misses!
Lem casts glitterdust.
Willsave Snarltongue: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
The purple liquid bubbles, and snarltongue fades away again, but the sparkles still outline the goblin.

Seelah_PbP |

"Ah, there you are, foul beast! I will not show you the same compassion I did your friends, they at least had the decency to surrender!"
Power Attack to shiny Snarltongue: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 111d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
The compassion of tying them up, not executing them while tied up. >_>

GM Auke |

Ghosting Lini
Still being able to speak to Droogami, Lini tells her feline friend to circle and flank the sparkling goblin.
Flank, Magic Fang
Droogami Bite: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 2 + 1 = 25 Hits!
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5
Trip: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 Doesn't succeed in tripping
Lini uses her wand of produce flame to shoot Snarltongue
Produce flame: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 1 - 4 = 21 Hits!
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

GM Auke |

Lem keeps performing
You didn't maintain your performance last turn... :-(
So: Restart performance or Hideous Laughter? And although you know where the goblin is due to the glitters, you only see an outline. Is this enough to target a tergeted spell? (IMHO it would depend on the spell. I think Hideous Laughter would be fine, but charm person, where you would have to look in the creatures eyes might not be).

GM Auke |

Will Snarltongue: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
The goblin resists Kyra's magic!
He steps up to the Cleric and attacks!
The red liquid drains a bit and the goblin's muscles bulge.
Rage, Power attack
To Hit: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 10 - 2 = 18 Hits!
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 6 = 16 Kyra is down!
The green liquid bubbles and the goblins wounds start to close slowly.

GM Auke |

Oh darn I think my phone might've eaten the part in my last post where I continued performing... Fair enough. I start my performance again.
Things get weird when a bard goes into delay/readies. I think you might need 2 rounds of performance to continue. ("It's my turn, I continue my performance and ready to cast glitterdust while continuing my performance", else you'd get 1.5 rounds for 1 round of performance)

GM Auke |

Seelah
Droogami
Lini
Kyra
Lem
Snarltongue
@Lini, just give a shout when you're back!
With 3 rounds of speak with animals left Lini commands Droogami to delay until Seelah moves behind Snarltongue again, so the cat can full attack with flanking bonusses and Seelah has flanking as well.
She jumps down acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9, but falls and takes subdual: 1d6 ⇒ 5. Lini stands up again.

GM Auke |

Assuming Seelah steps into flank:
flank, inspire, magic fang
Bite: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 8 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 21 Hits!
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 1 = 9
Trip: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 Succes!
flank, inspire, prone
Claw: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 8 + 2 + 1 + 4 = 27 hits for Damage: 1d3 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7
Claw: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 2 + 1 + 4 = 33 hits for Damage: 1d3 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5

not really that weird.
on his turn : free action ( no action at all ) he continues his inspire courage.
then he readies for some other action. when that action occurs, his action triggers for that round.
if it doesn't occur, it comes back to him and he has to spend another round of performance.
if it does occur, he's already spend the performance for this round. on his next round on his new initiative ( which could be one or two phases later in the round. ) he has to continue his performance.
you don't really get 1.5 rounds of anything.

GM Auke |

yeah, go ahead, attack kyra, she's the real threat while surrounded by a paladin and a cat that are actually hitting the goblin =P i'll just sit here and bleed
Droogami and Seelah only did minor damage until Snarltongue took Kyra down. The (failed) Hold Person was a much bigger danger than those minor scratches. However I'm sure Snarltongue wishes he had taken out the cat now he's prone and heavily injured.

As a combat round is a cycle any effect with a duration will create weird situations. If your ready goes off, your current performance will end when the initiative count hits your previous initiative and you won't be able to continue it.

its a free action , like speaking out of turn, so it could be continued. if you want to be technical it runs out on that phase the next round, unless he spends a free action to continue it. its tracked in rounds, and not usually something that needs harsh attention. it takes away from the spirit of fun in the game over a rules corner case.
the same goes for a barbarian raging. they're free actions, likely so that in such cases, they can be continued without having to worry about whether someone has delayed or readied.

Gah, I forgot Inspire, and Heroism as well. I'll go write it down on my character sheet now. >_>
Attack roll, with Power Attack, Heroism, and Inspire: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 181d8 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Heroism cancels out PA, Performance is a +1. Standard +9 for a +10 total. And damn, my rolls are terrible.

You forgot flank, but it's a hit already!
Seelah knocks Snarltongue unconscious! The green liquid keeps bubbling however.
