I've never played the Confirmation before to be honest. I don't have any level 1 characters however...

I think one can play it - in total - once with any level 2 character (and one time with each level 1 character).

^Very true however this is not a scenario I would recommend replaying more than once. The Confirmation experience (back in the day) devolved into extreme silliness once you are on your third replay. :)

Bobbie lvl 4 Fighter
Corba lvl 3 Bard
Salvio lvl 4 Wizard

The other two high level applicants are welcome to join with lvl 4 pregens. I will also save them a slot in my next Core scenario which will be guaranteed to be in tier for them.

I thought I might try my hand at PbP GMing, so with that in mind I'm planning on running We Be Goblins Too! a scenario length PFS1 module using 3rd level goblin pregens (credit for which can be applied to level 2-4 characters).

There are a few 1st Edition games planned for Outpost, including the Siege of Serpents special. That's just over a month out, though.

Is there a specific reason why the Announcement Thread for Outpost VII was not linked in this Lodge (Flaxseed) at all?

The google document PbP Special Events and Conventions, which is the top link in the Campaign Info of Flaxseed, hasn't been updated, either: GAMEDAY XII and OUTPOST VII are not mentioned there - and OUTPOST VI (happened already in 2023) is mislabeled as OUTPOST V and shown as coming up...

It hasn't been linked in Cottonseed or Castamir's Flaxseed yet, either.

The reason it wasn't linked here (or any of the paizo lodges) is that all three of us on the Con Committee didn't realize we had to post it to all of the paizo lodges separately, we're all almost exclusively Discord GMs so didn't know about this. We figured the one big thread announcement was sufficient. It's been added to the Standard Operating Procedures for future Cons though, so it shouldn't happen again.

I believe the google doc posted at the top of these lodges has now been updated, but I don't have control over it, so couldn't have updated it either way.

It just made no sense - to me - to have a pbp event and not announce it in the respective pbp lodges if you want as many people as possible to GM/play...

Outpost VII GM Early Signups now open!

Early signups for FCFS and Specials tables are now open for our GMs (and ONLY our GMs) as a special thank you for running games for Outpost VII. Please remember to limit your signups to 1 special table and 1 regular table for now. When general seating opens on the 12th, you can sign up for more tables.

Note: Anyone that jumped the gun and signed up for a table seat before this announcement will need to sign up again as all fields were cleared.

I don't know whether the specials GMs were notified personally, but they're all listed on the spreadsheet.

General Seating now open!

General seating is now open for all players. While there is no limit to the number of games you can sign up for, we do ask that everyone do their best not to overcommit. We also would ask that you not sign up for tons of games at the very beginning, to give everyone the chance to find a seat at a table. Sign up for a few, then wait a day or two to give others the chance.

Remember that the 1 game per character rule still applies to Play By Forum/Play by Discord games, so no signing up to play in multiple games with the same character.

If anyone is still interested in applying for the PFS1e Outpost special, one of the Discord GMs wasn't able to find any players for his T10-11 game. He's willing to run Core; since the only Core player who's shown interest so far is 3rd level, let's assume T3-4 unless a lot of folks show up who want another tier. Please let me know ASAP. Thanks!

One useful thing to remember about the tiers in a special is that, if necessary, a legal table can include PCs from an adjoining tier (but not both adjoining tiers). e.g. a tier 3-4 table can include level 1-2 PCs (and vice versa), but not both level 1-2 and 5-6 characters. Essentially it’s the same as the rules used for running level 1-7 games.

I can't stand the Discord format for PbP... there's just something about it that doesn't work as well as the Paizo boards for some reason. The lack of exhaustive headers and inability to link your sheet to a clickable avatar/name is probably what bugs me the most.

Hrm. Maybe it is time for me to try it out.

1) If you want to run it, please advertise it not only in this lodge, but in all lodges so it gets as many eyeballs as possible.

2) Request to either Bigrin, ogrenoah or myself that it get closed.
