The dwarf exhales another puff.

"Hah, hahah!"

"Came by, asked directions and left."
He knocks a few times on the door.
"Sounds like bad luck, and bad luck needs to be knocked off."

Sense Motive 10:

Bluff: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10

Nope, dwarf's a terrible bluff.
More over, your gut says he's likely just sent a warning to those inside.

While Thorn is questioning the dwarf, team 2 makes their way and ends up in the same street, a mere 70 feet away.

Thorn, your approach?

" Sir Dwarf... you are a terrible liar. I have given you time to alert your friends however, I suppose that is only fair. For your sake, please step out of the way. "

The dwarf's eyes shine.
"For your sake lad, best not offend a dwarf during his evening off. This is our home, not one of humans."
He continues to puff his evening pipe and pushes open slightly the door.
After which he makes no sound nor motion to stop you from entering.

Let's see what the others do, as Thorn might walk sooner inside than the others can catch up to him.

Father Burdock suggested you manhandle the dwarf KO, are you going to do that, or will you just enter, he's not stopping you after all.

When entering, you see a large round table, bearing what you'd expect from a night of hitting the tavern.
Playing cards, tankards, some small empty plates.
A few pictures of Janderhoff locations, such as the walls and docks, hang as a few decorative pieces.

In a semi circle stand several dwarves, looking sternly as you come to a halt. The one with a heavy beard and mustache speaks.
"Now, let's not dilly dally. We've been told not to be too surprised if a bunch of strangers came here....a bother as it may be, given game night." He pauses briefly to see your expressions.

"Now...i'm not the worst of character, yet not the most patient.
You're after the woman, yes? I suggest a deal, which benefits us both.
See, the blonde warrior has paid us only partly the sum of what was agreed on, another part upon completion of it all.
As is, it seems the deal with him has been delayed. Now, if you pay us the sum of 600 gold pieces the man owes us, me and my friends leave.
We have our pay and no more affiliation with that man, thus no need to obstruct you further, nor does he get support in whatever form from us."

He lets it sink in for a moment.
"Attack us...and you make an enemy of the coterie."

Best be quick, he wanted to leave today.

He puts out the pipe and pockets it in a small case, showing a small inscription, in dwarven, inside.

Father Burdock, perception 10:

Father, thine work i shall excert upon thine sons' souls, to my ability.

The top of the letter T is particularly thick.
It's base showing 3 diamond shapes.

He heads inside and closes the door.

Right, to the docks!!

Elsa:

Upon arriving at the ship, you are healed for 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
"Can't have you return all beaten up, can we."

The ship you've breen brought to is that of the Linnorm kingdom.
The typical viking long boat.
Once aboard you notice, aside from 2 ulfen warriors, a pale, platinum blonde woman standing at the stern.
Wearing the garments of Irissen and a raven on her shoulder, it leaves little imagination to what she is.

You also see 2 gems, at the front and the back of the ship.
You know these to be known as 'tears of the north', magical gems able to channel the icey cold into targets.

The dwarf hands you to the warriors to be brought down below.

Yet before that, you see again the grey eagle, what is that weird bird doing here?

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Good, awesome.

While your captors have placed you below, the eagle managed to slip into the hold and approaches you, sneaking past a distracted ulfen, who is supposed to pass for a guard. Sucker's in for it.

It sits 10 feet away from you, if you didn't know better, it's making a bow with its head. Birds can't do that, right?

That's where your part in the ship's battle begins. ;)

1d4 ⇒ 4

Following the directions given by the coterie, you make your way to the docks. It takes but a few glances to spot a ship with icey blue sails.
Large round shields cover its flanks, surely protecting any who stand behind them. A single gangplank lies at its side.
It's light loaded, as you notice it lying pretty high in the water. Combining with the shields and lying higher than the gangplank, proper sight is obstructed beyond the shields.

Perception 20, from your start: it seems slick with ice.
Acrobatics DC 12 on it.

On the other side of the docks, you notice the group of the coterie, but they are fewer in number and locked in battle with three ulfen warriors on one side and a mohawk ulfen on the other.
The grey eagle circles the ship and descends on it.
Near the middle, you notice a young muscular ulfen, he's gazing upon the docks and now notices your arrival.

At the back, your direction, you see a crystal the size of a head, suspended from a pole. It shines with a soft blue glow.

The young ulfen yells shortly at the ones fighting yonder:
"Hurry up killing thöse dwarf traitörs, ör we're leaving you behind."

Calling something to someone on the ship in skald, still keeping his eyes upon the docks, you notice a circular shape appearing before the ship.
The size of a round shield, it flickers with a peculiar yet beautiful light. Think northern light.
Through it, you see a glimpse of what is seemingly a snowy landscape.

Kn. Geography DC 10:

Coterie & Ulfen

More battle:

Coterie
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 221d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 161d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Dmg: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 101d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 91d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Ulfens
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 181d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 171d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Dmg: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 41d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 111d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

The coterie puts on display they are no mere ruffians, as they deal more dmg to the ulfens, the coterie leader splitting an ulfen head in half with his greataxe.
"This turns out to be a good excercise too, keep at it lads!"
That said, they receive as much as they dealt, the mohawk seemingly landing a solid hit to the face.

Spoiler:
Blue vs Sivar, ranged touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23Nl cold: 1d6 ⇒ 1*
Green shot vs Thorn: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d8 ⇒ 3
Crit?: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11*1d6 ⇒ 2

Blue turns the crystal towards Sivar and a blue ray hits him.
3 nl cold damage, you are struck by bone chilling cold. (fatigued)
Green shoots at Thorn, but the arrow hits the deck, instead of its target. He drops his bow and draws a vial.

It'd be ironic, if Elsa escapes her bonds and deals the finishing blow to Sven.
