Grint notes all the names on the plaques and stops for a second at the one called Thomas Harcke.

So that was his name huh? Those guards mentioned that we needed to get past 'Fear', aptly named, now at least we know his real name.

Grint glances at the mage-keeper and the warden.
"What, may I ask, has she done to warrant such treatment? Some of these I can imagine are trouble on the outside. Like that man Thomas Harcke we met a small time earlier. He had been set loose somewhat to hinder us and probably others from moving about. He looked dangerous alright, but why is this woman in chains?"

"You are surprised, what transpired?"

The two men look genuinely surprised at Grint's knowledge.

Mage-keeper: "Harcke? That one's still in his cell."
Sighing and looking through a small slide-able peepdoor, he checks the cell. "He is gone."

Warden: "Thomas Harcke, he was escorted under heavy sedation to be treated, Sarenrae knows what that encompassed. It was a request from the head nurse and approved by the Director."
He looks back at Lilly before back at you.

"She wasn't always kept like this. She's managed several escape attempts to the point where this type of means are used."

Mage keeper: "Why not 'sooner' from the start, is the better question. Let me describe the report's eyewitness statement of the day she was captured. This young lady was walking in town and suddenly stood still. A woman described her falling to her knees and she was screaming something in panic. Some locals pushed her around for 'disturbing the peace', those 3 went crazy afterwards and hurt themselves and others. The young girl made attempts to flee the village, all who blocked her way were met with horrible visions or went mad themselves."

The mage-keeper reaches for a bag he's carrying, then hands the warden an choker.

"Here, use this for good measure."
The warden looks at it and hangs it around her neck, clicking it shut.
"Why'd you not have this sooner? It would've prevented earlier troubles."

Warden: "Lilly, do behave, this is hardly a nice place and you of all know it."

Haha, well to your questions:
1) Her powers are restrained by the choker.
2) I was about to spoiler a reminder to Father Burdock about the fact he heard there's been sounds in west wing's old dorms.
Seeing you've discovered there's weird stuff going on with the following, are you willing to spend a couple of days away and let an asylum become a stronghold for one of these options.
1)Powerhungry people vying for more power
2)Cultists?
3)The Director & a crazy nurse. (I'm amused you guys didn't react to the warden's comment linking the director & nurse to 'Fear's' removal from his cell.)
4)All of the above. All up to you ;). It's you guys who're making choices that affect stuff. Friendly nudge, earlier Sabel saw Hammilton's nephew in the chapel and there's a girl named Emily scheduled for surgery by the crazy nurse, there was a girl named Emily who wrote the letter to her big bro back at the roadside ambush.

Father Burdock, carrying the creepy 'Eye of mind's terror', hears a voice in his head.

Hey, your bearded beardness, i don't suppose you lot lost a paper did you? During our sparring...huhu....i thought i saw a folded paper...fancy looking piece if note i might add...fall from the blond elf's pocket. I've got it back in the hall, in case you wish to re-obtain it. Mind you...a group of robed nutjobs are likely headed your direction. Happy hunting, mayhaps i see you again.

M Dwarf Forgemaster Cleric 7 | AC 25 T 11 FF 24 | HP 66/66 | F +8 R +3 W +8 | Init +1 | Perc +9 | Diplomacy +9 | Runeforge 7/7

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Burdock is unfamiliar with the type of item placed on Lilly, but seems to relax after the warden's comment.

The dwarf then sighs, squinting his eyes while making sure the 'eye' is tucked with his shield arm. "Think Fear... Thomas found it after our 'game' with him."
Turning to the warden and mage-keeper, he asks. "Know anything about strange group of robed individuals? And we'll have to talk more about the director and nurse when we're done here.", Burdock grabbing his hammer and looking towards the doorway. "Think we're about to have company!"

GM/Fear:

Burdock tries to talk back to Fear with his mind. "Thank you, Thomas; please do hold onto it. Do you happen to know how many of them? And weapons?"

Loot sheet No plunder, no pay Battle map--Misc info slides

Warden: "I have not seen robed individuals. Granted, i've been given paperwork 'in preparation' for Sarenrae knows what for."

The mage-keeper looks more grim.
"I...hmpf, yes i did. They seem to be working along the thugs from earlier. I don't know what for, but they regular guards down here have been replaced with them. I haven't been able to leave this floor for a good week and a half by now. Those ruffs bring food but otherwise nothing, some strong force must be at work, it's as if walking against an invisible wall."

Father Burdock:

Oh you'll love this...maybe not, but you would if you win. 3 robed ones came along with 5 armed thugs carrying bows and longswords. But those robed ones are walking with knives...dirks perhaps. Enjoy yourselves...kukuku...

"Thanks.", is all Burdock tries to transmit, although he wonders how much Fear can hear through him.

"8 of them, including those 'ruffs'.", Burdock calls out. "Get into battle positions; I'll hold them at the door best I can so you guys can prepare! Grint, arrow up and pick them off!", the dwarf moving up while casting a spell, his skin turning into a steely hue.

Assuming spells still work in here and not in the cells, if not, then Burdock will spend his time futily realizing this. If magic works, still, then Burdock will have AC 26 for 3 minutes.

Grint sighs and moves over to the side of the room, still within 30 feet of the doorway and with a clear vision on anyone appearing in or just outside it.

He grumbles "Seems we never get a little rest in here, this whole asylum looks like one big death trap to me. A hornet's nest that needs to be removed and exterminated. Find a good place for the patients to live so they can't trouble society, but live in peace. That will make sure nothing like this happens to them again and be rid of those cultists."
