GM Chyro |

The warden shakes his hand firmly.
"May Sarenrae's light shine upon you in your endeavour to strike down this evil."
Cue a short & uneventful trip to the greathall where Fear/Thomas Harck is.
There is no need to call out, as his voice is almost immediately heard.
<"Hehehe, what took you guys so long? Taking time...either for those with the luxury of doing so, those that don't care, or the ones taking precautions. I win perhaps, by taking option #3, yes? You'd want to make haste, in 8 hours the ones in power can do alot of things."
He notices Lilly standing in the back.
<"Blondie! Madness' pale flower, how does freedom feel?>"
Lilly:"Well, Thomas, liberation's heralds are kind to me."
Fear: <"Good, kind is good. Now, here's the note.">
A folded note is shoved into Sabel's pocket.
Backtrack to West Wing, translate later, or vice versa?

Father Burdock |

"Lass Lilly, how long would it take you to translate this? Sounds like time is not on our side, but perhaps your isolation and ability to read this document may be a clue to the entire scheme.", the Toragite asks, pondering the last statement out loud.

Sabel Ea'tari |

"Thank you. I think we might have dropped it earlier."
Sabel thinks for a bit and decides to ask.
"Would you want to translate the text right now? Or do you prefer later?"
Sabel says as she offers the slip of paper.

GM Chyro |

Lilly: "It matters little, but the whispers are turning louder with the proximity of this text. Let me gaze upon it."
Bent over, still in her straight jacket, her curious look turns blank.
<"Blondie, you're turning pale, without my intervention, the topic of concern must be deep.">
Lilly reads it out loud.
"Praised be, chaotic one who sees.
Blessed dark one, hear my pleas.
Yee of madness and otherwordly strenght,
I commit myself once again, increase thine blessing's length.
Chaos shall be sown, the end time we shall reap.
Away with this world, it's souls forever sleep.
Law is flawed, chaos is pure,
Thine arrival we shall assure."
She then staggers, her irises turning pitch black while she gasps.
Some of her veins seem more visible and gray briefly, she then leans against the wall. Looking back up shows her confident personality, which seems rather 'upset' in the angry way.
"What...did you make her read? A devotion script? Where'd you even get that? You are all in deep sh!t, this is dedicated to that which's name shouldn't be said."

GM Chyro |

She smirks.
"Oh, she's not possessed, if that's your worry. You've got bigger issues at hand than her state of mind. Where ever you got that from, you're looking at a cult and i'm not talking some Asmodeus or Urgathoa gig. However, to be sure of what sort, you got any symbol of them?"

Lyssa Kail |

"Sure I can," Lyssa replies to Burdock, and gives Lilly a summary of all the things that have passed since the start of the festival in Kharum.
I figured there was no need to post an actual summary, which would be quite a chore to write.
"The dagger I mentioned had a symbol on it, but I'm not sure if we have it with us."
Lyssa tries to describe the symbol as accurate as possible, then stays quiet to let all the information sink in.

GM Chyro |

The confident Lilly frowns.
"Oh..hohoho...you've made an enemy of 'that lot'. Tell me, does the name Night Heralds mean anything to you?", she eyes you with playful eyes and a sly grin.

Grint Mavric |

Grint frowns and shakes his head.
"Not my cup of tea I'm afraid. I don't dabble in knowing about religious folk. Ask me about men and animals and I might be abe to answer a question."
He does look quite alarmed at Lilly's sudden change and keeps a steady eye on her.

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

Kn:Planes: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
I know nothing...

GM Chyro |

"Well, they're a cult dedicated to entities so powerful, so chaotic it's....."
She switches back to her own self, letting out a terrified scream, which plunges your mind into darkness, flashing forward to an image...
For flavor, will DC 25 or pretty much shaken for the next minute.
"Nononono....bad, so very bad. They must be stopped..."
She lumps back against the wall, KO.

Sabel Ea'tari |

Sabel looks at the others.
"What have we gotten ourselves into now?"
Sabel tries to catch Lilly but is just too late. She guides her to the floor after she hit the wall.
"Now what?"

Lyssa Kail |

That image reminds me of the flying spaghetti monster.
Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Lyssa feels a chill run down her spine when the disturbing image appears in her mind.
"What was... that...? Some kind of levitating aberration...?"

GM Chyro |

Let's see about the others.
Jenny: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Lynnen: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Thomas: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Jenny and Lynnen are visibly upset. Even Fear's voice comes to ear with a hint of unrest.
..<"That was the most unpleasant, yes that's the word, unpleasant thing i've seen in a long time. Blondie, what is afoot here?">
Lilly's calm demeanour comes to slowly.
"Its worshipers, if they bring forth the means to call upon the great cosmic madness, the world is doomed."
<"I wonder...wonder yes, what is it you aim to do now with poor blondie? Evacuate her to safety, hmm? Or perhaps leave her within a chamber out of the harm's way? Regardless, it seems time is ticking, like a mahogeny clock.">
Just a suggestion, you could leave Lilly somewhere 'safe', or take her along as you liberate and eventually exit the Asylum. Maybe you've got an even more surprising idea i'm unaware of.

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

Ok! So We have identified the cause of the madness in the Asylum, a Great Old One Cult...Cool! Let's go kick their asses.
Which way to the "Father"?

GM Chyro |

"I don't possess that knowledge, Thomas...?"
....
<"I was sedated when i got the, what did she call it,.. 'procedure'. Kukuku...little did they realize i wasn't sedated 'quite' enough. I heard
the sounds of delusional types, muttering of recent episodes of hallucinations. Hah...evil fabrications i'm sure. So it'd be somewhere in West wing, down a stairs perhaps...they spoke of 'mind your step'. Does that aid you by chance?">

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

I have no idea....does it? Also, post your actions in the Falcons Hollow game...
West Wing. Grint, do you know where that is?

Grint Mavric |

"Not immediately no. Though that mind your step could be interpreted as a stairs alright. Though it could also be a hidden pit as well. We will need to keep our eyes peeled and head westwards to the West Wing I suppose. Where did we meet that insane nurse and that monstorus lackey again?"

Father Burdock |

"Yeah, it's back a bit, but I remember seeing a sign for it."
Correct me if I'm wrong, GM. I just remember you mentioning it and don't have time right now to go through posts looking for it specifically :)

GM Chyro |

Well the 3 orderlies back at the tavern mentioned strange sounds from west wing's old dorms. You also went exploring there in the male ward, when your armor gave you away.

Lyssa Kail |

"Uhhh... didn't we meet those in the East Wing, Grint?"
Lyssa looks confused. "We've been here for quite some time, and the place continues to confuse me. Didn't one of the records mention the place constantly seems to change? well I'm getting the same feeling..."

GM Chyro |

Right, so you're taking Lilly along.
I'll forward this to a relevant point. Any other preparations can be spoilered as earlier or in ooc.
With the good luck wishes of 2 'keepers' and a madman, you take your leave from the North Wing. Backtracking to the main hall isn't difficult, but it does seem eerily quiet and it's lighting is less. Dim lighting. No sisters or orderlies walking around, even the reception desk is vacant.
Dried bloodstains are underneat the receptiondesk, with prints suggesting someone had been hiding.
Rounds: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

Elsa casts Light on something nearby

Grint Mavric |

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Grint notices the bloodstains under the desk and shakes his head.
"Looks like somebody tried to hide under the desk. In vain probably. I don't think any of the sisters or orderlies in here want to continue working here when things are quiet once again. Too many horror witnessed."

Father Burdock |

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
"I hope you're right, versus the alternative., Burdock shuddering at more innocent life lost to this depraved cult.
"Let's press on to the West Wing..."
Grint, how many arrow do you have? want to know if I should keep Abundant Ammunition or swap it for something else.

Father Burdock |

Alright, think I'll be setup as I did before, support and buff spells (more melee badass Lyssa), dropping my domain spells for healing as necessary. Also, just before we enter the West Wing, I think I'll put 4 runes on your bow to make it masterwork for 3 hours; that should make it last for our adventuring day.

GM Chyro |

Domain spells are sadly for you a no-go as discardable for spontaneous spells.

GM Chyro |

Can i have some perception checks please? Taking 10 isn't an option however.

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Elsa looks around...

Sabel Ea'tari |

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Sabel takes a good look around as the others are discussing the next steps. She nods to father Burdock as response to his proposition.
"Let us continue."
She looks to the others to see if they agree.

Grint Mavric |

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
"Indeed, the light is a very good boon in this darkness." Grint says as he looks around and tries to listen for any shuffling as well.

GM Chyro |

The website is still broken, so pardon for the low quality makeshift map i've uploaded.
The brown are pillars that are the base for the archeways, that were mentioned when you first entered this lovely abode.
Sneaking: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
As you are near the desk, Elsa cast light on a candle holder, which now shines some degree of light within the reception hall. The hall is a 50x50 ft space. Now you see somewhat more clearly 2 wheelchairs on their sides amidst large pools of a dark liquid.
As you inspect inspect the desk, a few dark shadows quickly head at you.
Surprise round 'things', moving in. A grotesque small creature quickly appears. It looks like a mash of half grown limbs fused together, walking on 2 disgusting legs with a mouth with jagged teeth. There is a scream from Jenny, as one darts up to her with its maw open.
These things are known as Fleshdregs.
These small aberrations are known as Fleshdregs and can 'smell' the sin or potential thereof, of a person, dealing additional effects with their bite, based upon the sin's scent.

With those things just outside the light spell's 20ft radius, they are within partial concealment. (20% miss chance)

GM Chyro |

I'm surprised how you would know a creature outside your los to be present, as only 2 had been revealed themselves. With your perception check being far lower than their stealth, you'd only know of blue and green. Retcon to whichever please. It's late, so combatpost coming tomorrow, gnite all.

GM Chyro |

I'll do the correction.
Reception, round 1.
Grint shoots at the thing, his first goes wide and likely ends in the back wall somewhere. 1d100 ⇒ 91 His second shot hits and makes the creature make a raspy shriek, but it still stands.
