Aside from the sense motive that moment, nothing unusual with that scene.
But maybe Elsa succeeds at the roll..... :)

As Elsa, Grint and Malena arrive at Mary's, they can hear alot of voices coming from within. When you step in a hand goes up and waves, Mary gestures you to come to a vacant table. "Hey there. Your two friends are in the room in the back, they'll be out shortly. YOur friend's in luck, there were a few dropouts."

Ten minutes Mary steps up onto a small improvised stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, may i have your attention please. I'm the inn's owner, Mary, i'd like to announce the start of the beauty contest. We have a few of our locals as well as a few out of towners. Let the contest begin."

The contest consists of a few rounds which every contester will do. Appearance (like a small catwalk), singing a little verse (of your choosing) and a small dance to a music by the tavern musicians. {*}

Lyssa walks onto the stage and trips, landing face first and cussing out loud. She gets back on her feet and stamps to her position on the stage.

Darn it!

When it's Lyssa's turn to sing she's calmed herself down. She steps forward and looks around to see if she spots anyone familiar. A smile appears on her face when she notices more of the people she's recently met have come to look at the contest.

Here we go...

"I will sing 'Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer’s Day?'" Lyssa closes her eyes for a second, then starts singing.

"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee."

With a feeling of confidence Lyssa bows, and takes her previous position on the stage.

I think that went well! I hope the next part will too!

Lyssa steps forward again when it's her time to dance. She faces the crowd as she takes her starting pose. Both feet stand next to each other, one arm's raised upward, and the hand of Lyssa's other arm is on her hip. The music starts and Lyssa starts dancing, moving her arms gracefully as she jumps from one foot to the other. When the music stops Lyssa just finishes a short spin, and ends up in the same position as she started.

I think that went well too... Not sure, it's been some time since I danced. Looked better than the chick with the braids, that's for sure.

Lyssa steps back after bowing once more, and awaits the jury's announcement with a beating heart.

I started out horrible when I fell... I really hope I made up for that with singing and dancing.

Lyssa cheerfully accepts the bouquet. "Thank you Mary! And thank you jury, and and everyone who's come to watch!" She bows to show her gratitude, and at the exact same moment something is thrown or shot into the tavern. It's because of her bow that Lyssa avoids the effects of the bright flash, but when she looks up it takes her a few seconds to grasp the situation.

"Thieves!" Lyssa shouts at those who can't see anything, trying to inform them of what's going on, "We're being robbed!"

Blinded does a lot of nasty things, but they'd still get their turn. I take it they're dazed, if they can't move this round?

With the last thief on stage giving a very poor performance in being able to do anything, this combat is over.
You find 2 daggers, 1 Mwk dagger and a combined amount of 36 gold.
You now have 3 prisoners, huzzah. Interrogation time.

F Human Monk/3 (HP 24/24 | AC:21 | T:17 | FF:18 | CMB:6 [8 vs. Grapple/Pin] | CMD:22 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+5 | Will:+7 | Enchant:+2 | Init:+2 | Perc:+8 | Speed 40)

Lyssa ignores the disabled thief next to her and takes a double move to pursue the fleeing thief. "Come with me! Try to shoot him!" she nearly yells, unintentionally, to Grint as she passes him.

Thief #3 was 2 move actions away from me while he was at the bar, but I'm unsure about his position before he fled. Anyway, I'm moving after him.

Acrobatics to avoid AoO from thief #3: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

You're too late to catch him, you were at the stage at the most right of a 60 by 60ft room, he's already passed Grint and now escaped the tavern.
Despite that there are no tables blocking your path, you won't make it with him having a head start since last round, he had to run 35ft to the exit, having 2 directions to get to the there.
I had made a crude grid of the inn on my comp for this encounter. Not trying to screw it over.

Outside the tavern the streets are crowded.

Perception 22

Spoiler:

In the distance you notice some people being shoved aside, the movement headed for the docks.

F Human Monk/3 (HP 24/24 | AC:21 | T:17 | FF:18 | CMB:6 [8 vs. Grapple/Pin] | CMD:22 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+5 | Will:+7 | Enchant:+2 | Init:+2 | Perc:+8 | Speed 40)

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

"Moving toward the docks!" Lyssa yells over her shoulder as she continues to pursue the thief, running as fast as she can while dodging people.

But I can check if he goes where I expect him to go.

Haha, didn't expect you to get that check, gratz. Btw, what happened to that punishment thing you wanted to dish out? With 3 live prisoners and all, 1 of which is still awake.

Actually I would get an AoO on him, he still provoked moving away from me after moving through my square. Besides he could only do so at half speed so I can still catch him if I moved after him.

I think the one that was Disabled gets 1 point of damage after attacking and would be unconcious.

Malena moves up to the captured thieves. Still holding the dagger in her hand, and vowing to start carrying more of her equipment with her now that she seems to be getting into trouble with more regularity, she crouches down next to them and tries to be "Good Cop".

"Why don't you do yourselves a favor and let us know what's going on. No sense taking the fall when it's somebody else who sent you, is it? Why are you here? What were you looking for? Who sent you?"

Despite the half speed when moving through your square, he made the distance.
Right now he escaped. Lyssa shouted the lead.

Grint

Spoiler:

True, but that is included in the "poor performance to do anything".
He escaped, it was one of two outcomes, either he was put down in the inn, or escaped into the crowd. Where he can once again move freely. I expected him to fail that acrobatics check mind you :)
I don't intend to let you lose the trail as it is, you're a tough fighter, chin up :).

Some minor healing would be required. 2 of them having arrows stuck in them won't wake up that easily. The one who went down on the stage however would come around in an hour or so.
Anything you wish to do in that hour?

Well he could double move, but I could charge after him, he's 40 feet away from me at best. As I'm standing in the door there should be a straight line. Also you said he had to move 35 feet to the exit, that means he can only be 10 feet away from me.
Sorry If I sound whiney, but I want to catch him and he couldn't get so far ahead of me/us yet.

Grint would charge after the fleeing bandit swinging at him with his sword when he catches up to him.

Using my attack in the former post.

The Jadwiga in Elsa would counsel to slay the thieves after torturing them thoroughly, however her adopted gnomish mother tempered her upbringing and she is ok with simply intimidating the information from them.

You will tell me why you interfered with this contest. Or very bad things will happen to you yes? Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Grint, swinging your sword in a crowd is a sure ticket to jail. Mind the bystanders, it's busy....it's a festival.
Forwarding one hour then.

The thief, bruised all over, sits with his back against the bar and looks at Malena neutrally. He is about to answer when Elsa's firm tone interrupts.
Will: 1d20 ⇒ 7
He seems nervous, is eyes look like someone witha lack of sleep, not due to the beating though. He then answers Malena's questions.

"...We were..told to start a ruse...to steal an item.....
We were promised money upon returning it. A man in a fancy outfit misfitting his pirate-like face approached me a few days before the festival. Said he was in need of help......But the item...."

Mary interrupts him, slapping him over the hed with a tray, but not hard enough to actually hurt him back down. With a hand on her hip she fills that in.
