*cough* Paladins of Shelyn *cough*
Paladins are #1 my most favorite class, and I'd agree with Thorn that not all of them are interested in redeeming evil enemies. Iomedae for one is much more focused on just simply defeating evil. Torag actually advocates putting evil out of its own misery and not allowing surrender. Shelyn and Sarenrae though...(my two favorite gods) are much more into redemption.

GM Chyro |

Sivar, those rolls are going to come to my side as well sooner or later.
In which case, you'll be smirking with how sucky the rolls of the foes are.

Thorn Dulani |

Well presumably, you simply roll more so thats a given.
On paladin Gods I often found Abadar and Sarenrae to adequate along the main pantheon.. as long as your arent the often misplaced stereotype.

GM Chyro |

Haha....well in a PFS i run, the Sarenrae'an paladin is the typical example of trying to talk before anything else.
With a CN bard with a split personality on the team, more than once did he have to talk that one out of something.

Sivar Soulscar |

My Milani paladin is fun... I know technically Milani shouldn't have pallies but there's a pathfinder character paladin of Milani so I went with precedent.

Thorn Dulani |

In PFS I had a concept for a Paladin of Gorum.. though that wasnt a thing, I instead used the name Crusader as he was CG... He was a Fighter/Metal Oracle. If it was allowed he would have been a Chevalier as well.

Sivar Soulscar |

That lvl 1 disease spell is a little busted for an npc to use.. especially seeing as it lasts so long and cure disease is level 3 spell...
Fatigued for 1 to 2 days if rest and eating right... that's a bit s!#+...
A fatigued character can neither run nor charge and takes a –2 penalty to Strength and Dexterity. Doing anything that would normally cause fatigue causes the fatigued character to become exhausted.
As a melee character that bones me pretty badly and is a level 1 spell???

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

Milani is like one of the most chaotic of the chaotic good deities...how in the heck are you playing a Lawful Good character devoted to her.
Abadar imho is the second most boring god...the first being Erastil.

Thorn Dulani |

I have similar leanings on your previous mentioned two (Shelyn[Duality fix],Sarenrae [Give ALL the Chances]) they are nuanced so EVERYONE has to play up their quirks, Erastil and Abadar are simply baseline though. There are just a large amount of Paladins of those gods because they have common basic followings. Sarenrae gets more of a pass because she seemed to will herself into power somehow.
You dont get out of boring really until you hit the demi-gods... and Asmodeus has an interesting backstory.

Sivar Soulscar |

Milani is the patron of all those who fight against oppression and unjust rule.
Those devoted to her found the courage to organize the rebellions against the infernal takeover of the Chelaxian Empire, helping many of her outlying territories break free of its control. They fought against the slow slide into barbarism, restoring people's hope that a just and good society could be restored.
Her Portfolio is Hope, Devotion, Uprisings
She's more of a suitable god for a Paladin than alot of LG gods are.

Thorn Dulani |

Indeed CG doesnt necessarily mean bad for Paladinhood.. until recently that wasnt even the case and you could be a Paladin of pretty much any deity it would make sense to have a Good or Lawful being of. Pharasma for example.

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

Uprisings doesn't sound particularly Lawful.
I'm just basing my opinion on what the guy in charge of Lore for Golarion says. He's said several times that Milani (and Pharasma for that matter) make very unsuitable deities for Paladins. Pharasma because she isn't Good enough, Milani because she is too Chaotic in her outlook.

Thorn Dulani |

Which one? James Jacobs? Because that guy is very often mistaken about a few things as people tend to need to remember Paladins are both part lawful and GOOD. Otherwise you end up with Lawful Stupid Stereotypes. A Just Uprising is just that, you arent going around causing them willy nilly. And as any deity, there are portions of any deity you follow and don't follow.

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

How is the guy who literally makes and approves the lore for Golarion mistaken?

Thorn Dulani |

Have you seen the Errata and whatnot they've put out recently.. there are many ways you can be wrong about something. Hindsight, Forgetfullness, lack of cross reference. Personal preference and actual Lore are different things and all the times people try to quote James at least he has stated that.. they are his opinion not necessarily what is.
So yes that guy very much can be mistaken.

Tbh, i kind of expected you to pass the relatively low DC.
The spell description doesn't explicitly say you suffer a -2 on strength an dexterity, just -1 on their skill checks. So i'm not going to penalize you on damage output.
This dwarf is the foreman of a minor gang, villains don't play honorable like heroes (usually) do.
Uprisings doesn't sound particularly Lawful.
Depends on the people doing so, i'd see a paladin of Milani trying to resist against oppressors and restoring order as an ok thing.

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

On rules things maybe he has been mistaken but I've said this before, rules mean very very little to me, GM's trump rules and I'd rather the GM just decide how something happens than wade through 3 books looking for whatever obscure thing I'm quibbling about. There is no such thing as "errata" of Lore. Lore is much much more important to me.
JJ is the guy in charge of the campaign setting's Lore, so what he says is in fact Canon. Now, that might be different table top to table top because GM's trump everything. However, when I'm making assumptions about the Lore of Golarion, I typically refer to whatever is in print, and barring that whatever JJ has said.
I'd like to point out, that I've never been talking about it being "against the rules" to be a Paladin of Milani. I'm saying I don't think it fits in lore wise with Golarion. The same with a Paladin of Pharasma. Rules wise, I like the Warpriest class because it lets you play a "Paladin" of any god you want.

GM Chyro |

His paladin happens to be boss in diplomacy (especially crucial times) and in greatsword chops. (at crucial times ;) )

GM Chyro |

Google docs is being screwy.
All my maps don't show :(
Sorry for the inconvenience, i'm trying to find out what to do to fix it.

GM Chyro |

One hell of a bummer....google docs deleted our loot sheet.

GM Chyro |

None of my browsers opened them.
They do now however, thankfully. But the loot sheet is lost...

Sivar Soulscar |

I can see it, I don't have excel though so I can't save it, but I did save it to Word... gimme an email address to send it too.
Your referring to the eons loot sheet link is lost that I can see no worries at top of page.

GM Chyro |

Yes....i recall someone having Warp Wood.
*Looks at the stout dwarf*
Any actions here? 1st come 1st served to move it along.
I could of course have someone trigger something.
Evil laughter

GM Chyro |

Hence one of you guys taking the action..... ;)

GM Chyro |

By Torag's beard......something be happening in this here warehouse.
As soon as Elsa posts something.

Jadwiga Elsa Harcatha |

I did not realize you were waiting on me.

GM Chyro |

Ah, you were at the royal tea party, then we understand ;)

GM Chyro |

While gibbering mouthers are gross in appearance, at least these things are less gross in their methods than the fight in the barn loft.
Which, i might add, was an actual monster written by paizo.

Sivar Soulscar |

Why are the str dcs to escape anything so high? 18 is supposed to be significant but mostly i see at least a 90% fail rate is the best chance you'll get. Whatever happened to stuff not being made of adamantium?

GM Chyro |

I was going with the hardness and chains pages.
Especially since this is a solid metal claw, objects don't have a calculated CMD value like a PC would.
The Str check DC of chain bonds (claw) is 26, which i've lowered by 2.
Since there's no escape artist DC against chains, i've just used the escape rope/bonds, of the lowest being DC 20.
That should clear it up.

GM Chyro |

What is going on?
Is this yet another cultist, will Thorn attack the strange orb?
Who is the dwarf who passed out inside the warehouse, what in the gods' names is the fighting between the two blonde mystery skirmishers about?
Stay tuned, for more unraveling of the plot, here on the paizo board.

Thorn Dulani |

Hah funny. Though description wise I want to be sure. I KNOW the cultist walked out here.. Yes? And you said the blood seems to be dripping from above. As in it comes from out of Invisibility or does it follow a path?

GM Chyro |

Nope, as described it drops from out of invisibility.
It's not attached to the invisible miscreant, so you can see it naturally.

GM Chyro |

Correct, good chance that could have happened to call forth the orb.
