Ah yes, C&C.
True, though some missions were tricky.

Grint Mavric |

KKND was a lot of fun indeed, I played nr. 2 mostly. Hated the levels with only one unit or a group of units though.
I think the Might and magic series also didn't have any cheats, but they did have exploits, which I've used to great effect :)

GM Chyro |

Indeed, loot loot loot the dragon :)
Though we only played part of 6 and completed 7 & 8 couple times over.

GM Chyro |

Though not particularly strong, the creature is disgusting. :)

GM Chyro |

I had placed you 4 at the top.
I made a line from Thorn was starting, there was not a diagonally straight line.
The archers also had direct view on the starting position.
The archers only had the set condition of 'hostile talk/action=shot'.
Since you were aware of them being there (seeing), there was no surprise round. You'll crush the barricade regardless, opening way to crush even more bandits afterwards.
Btw, Sin? Some monster from a game?

Thorn Dulani |

I see a straight line right there. Point is, I didnt waste my last round moving up and doing nothing, I used it to take down the whatever 5ft area of barricade. Are you saying that red line is somehow important?
Ugly as Sin is a saying

GM Chyro |

The red line is the diagonal which could be a charge line.
The teal and black are los of the archers to your starting square.
I couldn't get a proper grid on this to show it, plus google docs decides by itself starts on lines. >_>
Never heard of the saying, must be of English origin.
We have it easy with using just 1 of several different words to pick from.

Thorn Dulani |

Thats all fine and well but that wasnt the charge lane I chose I chose the black line from my former position to my new position which is a straight line. The red line runs into a pillar... which isnt a target at all and thus fails the charge rules that stat you must go the most direct path to your target. As long as you can draw a straight line from target to PC and there is nothing in the way you can charge.
It is english, the word can be changed to other words, like Hell for example.

GM Chyro |

I've set a basic, albeit wobbly (curse google docs) grid.
So sorry Thorn, but your line isn't a straight diagonal line from start to barricade, if you follow the squares.
My 1st speech is dutch.

Thorn Dulani |

Its doesnt have to be squares by the base rules Chryo it has to be where you are and where the next place is.. it must be a straight line to and from. Father Burdock, Bless is already up you can do something else., GM I should adjust my CMD but it is higher than 19 by 4.. That part is my own fault.

GM Chyro |

How is your CMD 23?
3 BaB +4 str= 7 CMB.
Add 2 dex= 19 CMD.
Unless you suddenly add 8 points of dex, it's hard to imagine.
I also don't see feats or traits that do the trick.

Thorn Dulani |

Charge
Charging is a special full-round action that allows you to move up to twice your speed and attack during the action. Charging, however, carries tight restrictions on how you can move.
Movement During a Charge: You must move before your attack, not after. You must move at least 10 feet (2 squares) and may move up to double your speed directly toward the designated opponent. If you move a distance equal to your speed or less, you can also draw a weapon during a charge attack if your base attack bonus is at least +1.
You must have a clear path toward the opponent, and nothing can hinder your movement (such as difficult terrain or obstacles). You must move to the closest space from which you can attack the opponent. If this space is occupied or otherwise blocked, you can't charge. If any line from your starting space to the ending space passes through a square that blocks movement, slows movement, or contains a creature (even an ally), you can't charge. Helpless creatures don't stop a charge.
If you don't have line of sight to the opponent at the start of your turn, you can't charge that opponent.
You can't take a 5-foot step in the same round as a charge.
If you are able to take only a standard action on your turn, you can still charge, but you are only allowed to move up to your speed (instead of up to double your speed) and you cannot draw a weapon unless you possess the Quick Draw feat. You can't use this option unless you are restricted to taking only a standard action on your turn.
As for CMD Bull Strength + Shield of Faith

GM Chyro |

SOF doesn't add to CMD, it just give deflection to AC.
Nothing is mentioned for CMD.
This makes CMD 21 for the moment.

GM Chyro |

Rechecked, ok.
No grapple, but still icky dmg.

GM Chyro |

Some actions on my part may vary on what you intend to do on that turn, beware.

GM Chyro |

I now own a replica of a Spanish flintlock :)
For just 4 USD, that was too neat to pass up.

GM Chyro |

Nah, it has a metal label underneath the barrel that says 'Made in Spain'. ^^
It's funny, when googling, the cheapest was USD 32,95.
The closest image i could find was this:

As far as functions, i can pull back the top and pull the trigger for *click*. It's really more suited for practical jokes and show.

Father Burdock |

Sorry guys, conference/Seminar training today so little to no posting for me until late evening or tomorrow!
-Posted with Wayfinder

GM Chyro |

After dinner comes sleeping...unless you want to go into the fields the same evening, without much of magical means.
*Evil laugh*
As for Tessa's condition...no difference.

Thorn Dulani |

.... Im not gunna lie IC and OOC I really dont feel good about this and expected this to happen. It actually justifies alot of things here.... and bones my character again. Im not gunna drag anyone else down here but this is the exact reason he wanted to go immediately. Not after dinner or any of that.. Someone For some unspeakable reason goes out.. after before saying they would protect the people and was gone for several minutes? No caring person would go " Oh We'll sleep overnight.. nothing bad will happen "
If I were a Paladin this would have made me fall.

GM Chyro |

Behind the screens: she was dead while you were away.
You'd have ended up at the same scene, just in less favorable weather conditions, amongst things.

GM Chyro |

Aye, but who knows her way of thinking in defining that.
Some protect by standing stationary, the more 'spirited' could very well protect by the offensive.
All the more satisfactory when you meet Knuckles again for his due pay.

Thorn Dulani |

Im telling you as a player and a character.. it will not be satisfactory.. at all. I was trying to get that across.. if she had ANY inclination to suddenly seem like she would do something like this.. he would have just either offered her to come with us.. or stayed with her.
All it did was make Knuckles look way stronger than he probably is and Thorn look like a total failure. Considering he was both her Bodyguard and pledged to help her on her quest.

GM Chyro |

That part already came across.
Tessa's player left and Tessa became an NPC.
Whatever happened in the time you guys were liberating the hostages was beyond you.
Unless you both have the pathfinder equivelant of a smartphone, there's no way of knowing.
It happens in books..movies....
And....
I didn't say it was only Knuckles.

Thorn Dulani |

Well yes ofcourse, there is no way of knowing save what the other NPC said.. she up and left. Im going based on that. And yes, it does happen in movies and books.. someone suddenly goes suicidally into a a situation they know they cant handle... though generally the character shows inclination towards that. Or is insane. And its generally distasteful if it isnt dramatically appropriate.. at least to me personally. If it comes outta nowhere like this it also makes me go "What?". Well I guess I have to deal with it.
Sigh... Well I guess I have to spend money Resurrection. I shall be poor.

GM Chyro |

Vitals, after resting and with taken dmg, are updated on battlemap.

Thorn Dulani |

Alright Elsa would have been 11 down so a CLW(pre rest), Myself down 12 and Father Burdock down 15
So Elsa gets CLW, Burdock and I CMW
Elsa: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Burdock: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (4, 3) + 4 = 11
Thorn: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (4, 8) + 4 = 16
So Elsa should be Full - Current Damage
Burdock 11 HP up so full
Thorn is Full - Current Damage

GM Chyro |

Ok, adjusted.
Now i've gotta go, i've got a job interview this afternoon.

GM Chyro |

While the image of a somersault-ing golem is hilarious, it's more on keeping balance.

GM Chyro |

His greatsword doesn't say +1 in loot sheet, just that it's masterwork.
So are Thorn and Sivar going to give some smack on the golem?

Thorn Dulani |

Sivar is running away, And it will depend on the Golem.... Im not sure what did and did not hit.
I didnt say his greatsword was +1 I said the bow was. Im saying Father burdock might have gotten them confused with one another.
