Gansu Kaichuta |
Uriel takes 1 Con damage! Please continue making a Fort save each round until I say otherwise.
Did you mean Gansu? It was me that failed the save.
Gansu continues to swing at the splinter. "Looks like you're all alone, little one."
Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Nodachi -1 Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 8 - 1 = 13
But the splinter ducks under his swing.
Uriel of Mendev |
Uriel moves over to the bandit and swings as well.
Longsword Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
2H Longsword Damage: 1d8 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22
Boudacia |
Boudacia moves a little to her left so she can see and employs the slumber hex on the "blue" bandit. That is in the unlikely event Uriel's attack has not sent him into the big sleep.
The All-Seeing Eye. |
Oops! Yes, I meant Gansu! for that Con damage! Thanks!
Gansu feels his health return to 'normal' and then swings his sword at the bandit who deftly dodges it, only to turn right into the Path of Uriel's sword which slices deeply into him, but he is still standing.
Will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Then he suddenly falls asleep.
Orange bandit's Stealth check + circumstance bonus: 1d20 + 8 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 10 = 24
Aldhranhald's Perception - 5(watching hallway, not room): 1d20 + 12 - 5 ⇒ (11) + 12 - 5 = 18
Boudacia's Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Sama's Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Sneak Attack!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 NO! This is a rare case where too many previews changed the die roll! He originally had a 15 on that die, for 18 total! But since I have no proof I have to go with the new roll.
Suddenly Boudacia notices a sword clanging against the wall behind her! And realizes an orange-tasselled bandit just slipped out of the WC behind her!

Uriel of Mendev |
Thanks for the token assist. I am away from my computer for the weekend...Also, Uriel is more than a move away from the new bandit, so if others would like to take the initiative in this block, I am cool with that...
Boudacia |
"Uh!" exclaims the witch in puzzlement as the sword barely misses her. Then realising what has occurred, continues "That will be quite enough of that!" as she attempts to put the orange bandit to sleep with the slumber hex.
The All-Seeing Eye. |
Orange's Will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
The bandit with the orange tassels does not even blink!
Boudacia |
"Or not. Some help over here please!"
Uriel of Mendev |
At Boudacia's call, Uriel responds with quick action and a quick grunt, "On it!". Realizing he is too far away to reach the bandit threatening her, Uriel pulls out a javelin as he moves closer to get a clean shot, heaving it at the splinter...
Uriel javelin into melee: 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 8 - 4 = 12
Javelin damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Uriel of Mendev |
For what it is worth, Uriel re-grips the hilt of his longsword with his second hand as a free action at the end of his turn, so any AOO’s will be made 2H...

[dice=Uriel javelin into melee]1d20+8-4
[dice=Javelin damage]1d6+5
If Boudacia took a 5 foot step away, that roll would be a 16. Don't know if that would hit or not...
Gansu Kaichuta |
I'm pretty sure I can get there, though it looks like some tojkens are straddling the lines between squares so I'm not sure. But I'm assuming I can get there.
"Hey, you! Wash your hands first!" Gansu shouts as he rushes towards the splinter emerging from the water closet.
Nodachi -1 Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 8 - 1 = 19
Damage +3 Power Attack: 1d10 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 3 = 16

Going in order of actions since Boudacia's call for help.
Uriel throws a javelin as he moves to help Boudacia, but misses.
Sama carefully retreats from the new threat ...
But did not specify her movement on the battle-grid, so I get to decide. Everybody seems to have forgotten about the Cyan bandit that was put to sleep early on, which I kept showing his remaining rounds of sleep in the initiative, and then I even put a question mark next to his name in the initiative, but nobody seemed to notice. Well, when he woke up and saw how badly the battle was going he stealthily rolled under the bed in the middle of the room. If you will look at the post where the sneak attack from the WC happened, you will see a second spoiler "Other secret DM rolls" with a stealth check of 23. Since everybody capable had already rolled a perception and didn't beat that, nobody noticed. I am going to rule this as an attack by an Invisible creature referencing the section that says: "Invisible creatures are visually undetectable." since Cyan is currently not visible to Sama from her position. So the following happens:
But as Sama retreats suddenly a short sword swings at her ankles from under the bed!
Cyan's attack - 4 for prone + 2 invisible vrs AC 10 w/o Dex: 1d20 + 3 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 3 - 4 + 2 = 18
Damage w/Sneak attack!: 1d6 + 1 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (3, 1) = 6 Only 6 total?!? WOW!
Please refrain from any actions currently. I have to stop to get ready for work, and will continue the bad guys turn in another post from work.
Gansu Kaichuta |
Everybody seems to have forgotten about the Cyan bandit that was put to sleep early on,...
I hadn't forgotten. But only 3 rounds have passed since he went down... doesn't he stay asleep for 4 rounds?
The All-Seeing Eye. |
Okay, my mistake, I apologize, I did lose count of the rounds, so this is the 4th rnd, he is just waking up now, AFTER Sama went by, so no damage to Sama!
Sorry, I need to look at the map again to study my options and I can't do that from work, so I'll look when I get home.

Definitely can NOT look at anything facebook related from work. Thanks for trying though. *** On that note, not feeling well, so may not get to it tonight. Probably going straight to bed when I get home.

The blue tasseled bandit keeps on sleeping. Round 2
The Cyan tasseled bandit wakes up, sees how bad things are going & tries to hide.
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 Under the bed!
Anyone in the room who wishes may give me a Perception check. I am going to apply a - 5 to Boudacia & Gansu since their backs are turned towards him while they are focused on Orange. Fair?
The Orange tasseled bandit, realizing that Boudacia does not have on all the protective gear that Gansu has, tries to stab her with his sword ...
Orange's attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
and he stabs her successfully dealing Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 damage!
CURRENT INITIATIVE:
Block 2:
Aldhranhald (Continues keeping watch in the hallway?), Boudacia, Gansu, Sama & Uriel
Block 1:

Block 2:
Aldhranhald (Continues keeping watch in the hallway?), Boudacia, Gansu, Sama & Uriel
Uriel of Mendev |
Uriel Perception check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Incensed by the orange bandit’s attack on Boudacia, Uriel moves into melee with him, completely missing the hiding bandit under the bed. He will move into the square to the Orange bandit’s east (provoking) and attack.
If the hiding bandit makes an AOO, though, Uriel will notice and focus his attack instead against the prone cyan bandit.
Uriel Longsword Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 +4 If versus prone
2H Longsword Damage: 1d8 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18
confirm: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 (+4 If prone)
crit extra damage: 1d8 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19
Boudacia |
Boudacia takes the withdraw action, moving out of the room and back into the hallway with Aldranaldhald.
Sama Kattan |
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Sama spots the bandit rolling under the bed. "Uriel! Under the bed!" she shouts, punctuating the warning with a blast of lightning at the bandit there.
Jolt ranged touch attack, into cover: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 4 = 29
Jolt damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Jolt confirm crit, into cover: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 4 = 24
Jolt crit damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Uriel of Mendev |
Thanks for the warning, Sama, but with his natural 1 on Perception, I will say that Uriel processes the warning too slowly to benefit from it (still provoking the AOO from the cyan bandit)
The All-Seeing Eye. |
The Cyan bandit sees heavily armored boots going by and realizing he can't do much against them he waits, hoping nobody notices him and wanting for a better opportunity.
Uriel marches forward and promptly slices the orange-tasseled bandit in two.
Sama, it makes no difference in this case due to your high rolls, but just for future reference the 'into cover' part of your attack is supposed to be a - 4 if I am not mistaken, instead of a + 4. You have always posted that correctly previously, so I'm guessing this was a minor oversight on your part, but I just wanted to maintain clarity.
Sama spots the Cyan bandit rolling under the bed and as she shouts the warning to Uriel - thus letting the bandit know that she spotted him - Sama fires a bolt of electricity slightly hurting the bandit!
Current Initiative
Gansu
Followed by the bandits.
Aldhranhald |
Seeing the beautiful skin-walker backpedal into the hallway, Aldy turns a corner of his eye to her and says, "Everything all right in there?"
Uriel of Mendev |
Overhearing Adlhranhald’s query, Uriel turns from the spray of blood that was the orange bandit and responds briefly, ”Got him!”
The All-Seeing Eye. |
Test to see what time stamp Paizo puts on this. EDIT: This post is being made on Wednesday 11/14/18 @ about 1:55 pm CST.
Gansu Kaichuta |
Gansu tries to thrust his nodachi under the bed at the hiding bandit.
Gansu will take a 5' step either north or west if that will make it easier to get at the guy under the bed. I'm guessing that the bandit will have some kind of cover bonus to AC (which is probably negated by him being prone), but then again maybe we have cover from him too.
Nodachi -1 Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 8 - 1 = 18
Damage +3 Power Attack: 1d10 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 3 = 17
The All-Seeing Eye. |
Gansu gives the bandit with Cyan tassels a good stab.
The bandit then carefully moves away (withdraws) attempting to hide his movements ...
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
but his groans of pain and trail of blood are too obvious.
The Blue tasseled bandit continues sleeping. Round 3

Uriel of Mendev |
Not liking how close the injured cyan bandit is getting to Sama, Uriel moves up around the other side of the bed and attacks.
Uriel Longsword Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Uriel 2H Longsword Damage: 1d8 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 23
Sama Kattan |
Sama fires another jolt of electricity toward the bandit with the cyan tassels.
Jolt ranged touch attack, into melee: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 5 - 4 = 18
Jolt damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
As the threads of lightning trail off, she quickly steps along the wall to a position where Uriel has a better opportunity to head off the bandit from reaching her.
5' step after casting.
The All-Seeing Eye. |
Uriel moves overand slices Cyan in two as well.
Out of initiative. I'm off to my tabletop.
Uriel of Mendev |
Okay, so let’s loot the bodies, take care of the prisoner, heal up if needed, and check the next door...do we want #6 or #8?
Consulting Aldhrnhald’s map, door #6 is looking good to Uriel...
Boudacia |
I agree with Uriel. Except one thing, lets check in room 9 before 6.

Test to see what time stamp Paizo puts on this. EDIT: This post is being made on Wednesday 11/14/18 @ about 1:55 pm CST.
This turned out VERY, VERY, interesting! On my computer it shows the post was made yes, on Wednesday 11/14/18, but at 7:55 pm!!! An entire 6 hrs after I made the post?!? I wonder how they determine this or what?!?! With this finding it makes it VERY difficult for me to be precise on anything where I want to make a ruling based on the time since someone's last posting or what not. This is indeed quite interesting. *** I would appreciate if all of you would do the same kind of test for me please? Just make an OOC post stating the date & time (including time zone please) that your making the post if you don't mind please. Thanks!
And as Boudacia points out, it might be best to do door # 9 first, otherwise you might get into a 69 position ... Sorry! Couldn't let it pass by!

For me your original post shows the correct date, and a time of 2:55 pm. Since I am in Eastern time and you are in Central time, this means the time of your post is correct for me.
Usually if there is an error it is based on incorrect time zone settings on your own computer or your web browser, or possibly your account settings with Paizo. It's because the website uses a universal time value and then cas to convert it based on who is looking at the page. So check those things.
Uriel of Mendev |
Uriel sets up on door 9 as usual, just in case it isn’t just another WC as he assumed.
We have several people with minor HP damage—what is the best use of our healing resources? Do these guys have the same loot as the others? Post made at 7:55 Am EST

Aha! Thank you Gansu! I had not realized there was a section to choose your time zone on the account settings page. That was set incorrectly, and once I corrected that it did change the time stamp on my test post to the correct time! Just to double-check, this post is being made Thursday @ 10:48am CST
The All-Seeing Eye. |
As Uriel moves into position and it is becoming obvious he is setting up to open the door, suddenly the door flies open and a bandit with dark red tassels jumps out onto him!
CMB: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
But Uriel braces himself on time and the bandit bounces off and falls prone on the floor in the WC.
The blue tasseled bandit wakes up and tries to hide under the bed.
Stealth check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Perception checks from anyone in the room who wants. Uriel is going to have a circumstance penalty.
CURRENT INITIATIVE:

Aldhranhald (Continues keeping watch in the hallway?), Boudacia, Gansu, Sama & Uriel
Uriel of Mendev |
So, did Uriel #1-get out his shield before going to the door, or #2-go to the door first?
random: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Uriel suppresses a laugh when the bandit bursts out of the WC, bounces off of him and falls to the floor. Bringing his sword to bear, he attacks the bandit.
Longsword attack versus prone: 1d20 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 9 + 4 = 26
2H Longsword Damage: 1d8 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20
Sama Kattan |
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Since she doesn't see anyone but the bandit in the water-closet, Sama takes a shot at him, though she's not too keen on her chance to hit someone who's both in the middle of a scrum and lying flat on the floor.
Jolt ranged touch attack, into melee, vs. prone target at range: 1d20 + 5 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 5 - 4 - 4 = 13
Jolt damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
The All-Seeing Eye. |
And I apologize for the confusion. I know I had said we were out of initiative, but I had forgotten about the blue sleepy-head bandit, so I am ret-conning that we had NOT dropped out of initiative, to keep track of that. *** So, currently waiting for any actions (including Perception checks to see who all sees Blue hide or not) that you may want to take for your initiatives. - Other than the ever in-a-rush Uriel of course. Even if I did not know Uriel personally, I would definitely know he is NOT of a Hispanic descent! THEY are never in a rush! (Unless it is an emergency.) ;-D
Boudacia |
Boudacia, unaware of events in room C10, goes over to Aldhranhald, and asks "Anything of interest happening out here? Combat seems to be over in there."

Continuing on, Uriel chose not to make a perception for the Blue bandit, and Sama did not see him, so just waiting on a possible Perception check from Gansu if he so chooses, and any action for his initiative.

The holdup currently has been waiting for a post from Gansu for his actions & Perception. But since he made a quick post saying he has been having internet problems, and it has also been a fair amount of time (or more than) since his initiative was posted and we don't know when he will be able to post again, I am going to go ahead and 'bot' this turn as best I can.
Gansu's Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Gansu fails to notice the blue-tasseled bandit hiding. Knowing that Uriel is in some kind of scuffle he will move to see what's going on there and take a swing at the prone dark-red tasseled bandit.
Gansu's Power attack vrs Prone: 1d20 + 8 - 1 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 8 - 1 + 4 = 15
But the space is too congested and he can't get his big sword in there properly. (Just saying that for flavor, you missed his AC.)
The dark-red tasseled bandit will try to take a swing at Uriel since he stabbed him.
Dark red's attack from Prone: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18
But of course Uriel dodges out of the way.
The Blue tasseled bandit continues hiding.
Since no one saw him go into hiding, he is currently going to be considered to have Total Concealment.
Blue's Stealth + circumstance bonus: 1d20 + 8 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 10 = 31
CURRENT INITIATIVE:

Uriel of Mendev |
Barely dodging the prone red bandit's shortsword thrust, Uriel brings his longsword down at the persistent creature.
Longsword attack vs. Prone: 1d20 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 9 + 4 = 33
2H Longsword damage: 1d8 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19
Longsword crit confirm vs. Prone: 1d20 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 9 + 4 = 25
2H Longsword additional crit damage: 1d8 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19
Not complaining about a 20, just seems a bit of overkill. I am going to assume that 38 points of damage kills the bandit.
Intelligence check for situational awareness: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12
Realizing his tactical mistake of focusing only on this one bandit when there are others in the room that seem to be popping out from under beds or behind doors, Uriel takes a step to the north and scans the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
"Is that all of them?", he asks, seeing nothing currently amiss...
Boudacia |
Boudacia remains in the hallway, ruefully inspecting her slight wound and the damage done to her clothing.
