www.pinterest.com a site to load and find pictures. I have found a lot of fantasy pics for pathfinder, as well as for other interests, such as woodworking, home improvement, etc. It really is cool.

Yeah I am interested in and impressed by the art and music both.
Need to think on it for my own games.

Iliya ROCKS!!!
That RP came across very Kellid - matter of fact, to the point and said like a man who knew what he was doing.

Almost missed this - Mathus, thank you very much for your kind words. However, as much as I "rock", you are the one who had the guts to create a character with a Spooked drawback willingly. For me, that coupled with your excellent IC posts speaks a lot about your role-playing skills. Kudos, my friend!
GM Andrameda |
Yeah, I laughed quite hard at you being spooked by the skeletons. This will be quite an adventure.
I should note that in summarizing combat rounds, I will not always use visceral wounds to implicate damage being dealt, but instead try and mix it up with exhaustive maneuvers or weakening your defenses in addition to cutting you up, so I will use a OOC post to directly state the outcomes of the round.
Also, I forgot to mention: for finding the hidden trail and avoiding any unwelcome encounters on the road and finding the crypt entrance, as well as great roleplaying, you are awarded 100 experience! (Don't forget we are using the fast xp track too)

I like that part, very nice approach. Btw. in OOC part you said that Iliya dealt damage with a sword, while he's actually wielding a big trunk of a tree (great club).
Mathus Kohlheim |
Yeah, the commentary on Mathus I think needs an update. Oh and I love the HPs DONT necessarily = wounds thing.
I am having fun with the 'Shaken' thing.

Each I take it? Updated character sheet

I knew that...afterall, good luck turning things to dust with a sword ;)
Edit: Aaaah, I see what's going on. I meant you killed the skeleton wielding the sword, not you killed it with your own sword. Each I take it?
Haha yes, each. That would just be cruel.
Pyotr Krysnec |
I'm claiming this as Pyotr's theme music. Probably best for higher levels, but you got to start somewhere!
Stephan Ferus |
Good soundtrack Pyotr....am now inspired to find one myself.
I also Like the attitude with wounds/HP damage...This should really enhance not only the game but also our personal RPing.
100 xp noted.

Hard to make a choice on what to do since all of the monsters are completely handled but I 'go first'. Do I run up and perhaps kill one of the two skeletons that Pyotr cast grease on as Stephan destroys one with a rock, invalidating the use of one of his only spells? But they might not be alive after being holy-water splash-damaged. Do I charge up and drop one of the skeletons who has red hit points and is probably already killed by channel, if saving versus 4 put them near-death?
Tough choices, knowing the future. It's a blessing and a curse. I totally get that now.
I'm going to pummel the one that just came in since they're standing unmolested on my turn.
Now, I don't know if I can force Pyotr out of his square or not. Confusing.

So about the retconning, last time I ran a pbp, I utilized the current method and it worked fine. However, it was only with 4 players so there was a lot less dependency on each others actions. If you are fine with me hijacking your characters, that is all well and good, but even I would prefer it if you guys had full reign over your decisions.
As such, I would like to find a way that would allow you to perhaps act in the order your post, and thus build off of each other, but still allow benefits from initiative. If you have any suggestions or seen methods that you liked, let me know while I look for a solution!
Stephan Ferus |
I ahve no problem with the retconning. With pbp, we are not making decisions at the same time, so a bit of it will help move things along, as well as keep the story interesting.
As an aside, I am going to work tonight, will be on to post after 11pm EST. In two weeks I'l going to start a new job, actually have bankers hours. My posts will be after 6pm every night, as well as on and off all weekend.
If this change is going to cause any issues with party leader or anything else, feel free to change that. I don't want my new work schedule to mess up the game for the others.
GM Andrameda |
Okay, if everyone is on board with things as they are, then there is no need to change it, so just let me know what you think. I will always try and opt for the best choice of actions if yours is unavailable or seems needlessly wasteful after unforeseen events.

As I suspected, PC Gen, the software that I used to create the character made a boo boo. It is giving me a -3 on skill checks for leather, for some reason. I am doing a double check of everything, in case It messed something else up.
Thanks Mathus. I would have never even seen that without you. That's what a team is all about, bro!
Edit: Yep, that leather armor penalty messed it all up...I have corrected it and updated my sheet. Again, thanks!

I ask cause I am thinking of starting a Golarion based Lovecraftian themed adventure. One with cults of ancient origin and nefarious goals, monsters that would have you faint at the very utterance of its name, beings so powerful yet that your own existence feels microscopic and your best efforts to do good seems like you are running in place, all while the very forces you try to stop are equally as minuscule in the grand scheme of things.
It could be fairly easily done using published creations by Paizo and fitting it into the world and adding a simple sanity system. It would be either a 10 or 15 point buy to keep powerhousing down and increase the feeling of mortality, heavy on roleplay and investigation, low on combat (and when there is combat, things will be fierce and punishing), and a great deal of the incomprehensible that would drive any normal man into a state of psychotic dribbling.
GM Andrameda |
I did read a bunch about the Yellow King and Carcosa because of True Detective, which incidentally is set in the town I grew up in!
My roommate has been watching this show and raving about it. I'm going to be starting it soon, especially now knowing there's little Lovecraftian bits in it.

I've a San system for low pt buys if you want it... Ob Portal site. Go to the house rules section. Look under mental stability.
Doesn't take long to get to shaken. If we do go a San system it may impact my draw back.
