Oh god... now I have an image of Bear falling from the sky and smiting his foes with his mighty 'club'

Bear aka Orlog |

I was thinking more along the lines of demoralizing our foes with a "bombing" run...lol's
I just imagine the python scene where Arthur finally gets to castle ARRRGH and....need I say more...

Krathok |

Was just scanning over the Teamwork feats and noticed that 'Outflank' actually needs BAB +4.
I think the one we need to take is 'Precise Strike', which needs Dex 13 and BAB+1 (and gives 1d6 sneak attack dam) for myself and Malnivar; and maybe 'Lookout' or 'Paired Opportunist' for the BAB +0 types?

Gah! You are absolutely right. I agree with your suggestions. I just mentioned Outflank because I misread the columns and thought it didn't have a prereq. I leave it up to Talbot and Abitan for their input on which they prefer.

He never said. I went max gold. Hell, we got a 25 point buy and he's allowing the Rich Parents trait. I don't think he cares if we take full starting wealth.
Okay, been giving some thought to a nickname and I came up with what I hope are some ideas in keeping with the character and squad theme and tone.
Hairpin - for how far bent is his mind
Feathers - because he is never ruffled
Aunt Flo - at his height, the arterial nexus at the groin on a medium creature is the perfect target
Bubbles - for the boiling cauldron he is constantly using to mix the ingredients for hootch
Hootch - for obvious reasons
Riddleport - there may not be a Glasgow here, but if it was going to happen somewhere it would be in Riddleport
Your help is appreciated.

Bear aka Orlog |

Max wealth would be nice, Druids get little starting cash. Give me a chance to have some more Goblin scrolls.
Goblin skin works better for scrolls Bear has found, is is not a supple as most creatures skins. He hopes that they get to fight some Lizard Folk at some point, he figures they will make great scrolls.
Hootch, why because Bear like him some Hootch. Bubbles sounds too girly for this crew of misfits...

That would be a lot of scrolls, but lets split it between my character and Me'mori's wizard? That would give us 4 more scrolls each...very useful. Couple more cure scrolls will be in order for emergencies...
Thanks for the donation, although Bear is wondering what you want for it...and before you ask he will not give you his extra gobo skins!

Me'mori |

When I read Krathok's post, I can't help but think of him as speaking with a Russian accent.
More scrolls? Yes, please! I don't start with Necromancy or Divination spells, and there are a couple nasty ones in Necromancy that I would love to be able to counter.

Krathok |

Heh, just trying to get a gutter speak feel, though I spose a Rusky accent works just as good "Da we take head, you die now"
On another note, just collating our spoken language information here. Considering that we will likely have some friendly internal fraction within the group, thought it useful to note down who speaks what language. That way, you know which squaddies can understand your cursing.
Language Summary:
Common: Spoken by all squaddies
Goblin: Abitan, Malnivar
Halfling: Abitan, Hakon, Talbot, Declan
Druidic: Bear
Dwarven: Declan
Elven: Declan
Draconic: Declan
Orc: Krathok
Shadowtongue: Abitan
Though based on his Int, Hakon probably knows a few more.

Max Gold... heheheh. Poison's here I come heheheh. And my bone shakin butchery carty... all draped in cured meats and blood sausage [resist on the obvious comments here boys]
Will try and get everything purchased today and post something in the RP thread [apologies RL has been hectic!]
@Hakon: Hooch is perfect... and I'd also recommned Shadowtongue as our common Nidal language
@Krathok: LOVE the Russki accent - very cool. A cannibalistic Kossak Half Orc... awesome character.
As for turns of phrase as previously mentioned Abitan will refer to individuals as types/cuts of meat... [already called Squad 2 "Sweetmeats lol] and all his knives have names: Boner, Steaker, Big Parer and Little Parer... you get the drift...
BTW wondered about this last night - whose our Standard Bearer?

![]() |

I guess it's Hootch, although I liked how someone in the IC thread already said Clown. It makes sense to me.
@Talbot - I also like Crosshair or Trigger.
@Krathok - My languages are posted on the character sheet. Were they not showing up for you? They are Common, Halfling, Hallit, Infernal and Shadowtongue. I didn't feel Hakon would have had any exposure to the standard Halfling starting languages, but Hallit and Shadowtongue are the languages of Nidal while any good Chelaxian noble would have their family knowing Infernal.
@Abitan - Sure, we can split the cost on the portable alchemist's lab, although it was intended to primarily be a still. There just wasn't such an item listed in any source books. What book calls itself an Adventurer's Armoury and doesn't have a still?

Krathok |

@drayen - I see it now, I went off the top right listing in the main summary that only has the two, my bad. Was me what said clown too - only has to be official if you want it to. I see Krathok a bit like Sawyer is to Hurley in Lost; rattling off a myriad of nicknames as the situation calls.
In light of the increase to max gold, that increases the Krathok Scroll donation fund to 225 gold split between Bear and Declan. Will help our low magic squad having a few extra scrolls as back-up.

Yeah I know man... can't find my portable hotdog cart either :(

Bear aka Orlog |

All these scrolls will be a mess though, Bear is just going to have a sack filled with skins...digging out a scroll will be a full round action and then cast it the next round, he wouldn't think of organizing them, thats not how he thinks...why would he organize them.
+1 for crosshair...mainly because Bear thinks that Hair is good!

Hakon "Hooch Clown" |

Having some money left over and Abitan refusing to allow a cage for the honey badger on his "little bone cart" (you realize the term is relative as Charles had been an half-ogre, right? That's why I purchased a cart with a donkey.) I, too, will pay for a few scrolls to be made by our friend, Declan. I have the following magus (wizard) spells if you feel like trading spells in the future:
0 Level
Acid Splash
Arcane Mark
Dancing Lights
Daze
Detect Magic
Flare
Ghost Sound
Light
Mage Hand
Open/Close
Prestidigitation
Ray of Frost
Read Magic
Spark
1st Level
Chill Touch
Hydraulic Push
Magic Missile
Shocking Grasp
Stone Fist
True Strike

Hakon "Hooch Clown" |

Has anyone else taken the time to visit our fellow squads, the Puddle Puppies and Tin Foil Carnies?
I have seen the Carnies banner and, to put it frankly, I am appalled and dismayed. It appears to be some personal slight directed at yours truly. That banner needs to go. I believe we have our first intersquad quest.

Me'mori |

"Steal the Banner"? Most certainly!
My spells are yours, as you need. I'll be spending a lot of time(and gold) copying everything from yours.. I still haven't added the 4 extra spells to mine. However, whatever spells I don't use that I have time to scribe, I'll pass on to you, but I've got to copy some Necromancy spells in (and have a scroll on the side to cast).
Definitely going to have to get that "move earth" spell.. that'll make latrine digging eeeeeeasy.

Krathok |

Definitely going to have to get that "move earth" spell.. that'll make latrine digging eeeeeeasy.
"Silly 'Gypsy', no need piss hole. Go like Bear in wood."
First missions up on the IC thread, got some bandits to attack, terrorize, and if they are lucky, kill quickly....

Nine Tail |

Dotting...I like this group and hope you get concept working of the Flying Bear that drops evil halfings or bear scat, whichever is viler.
...but as stealing banners go, beware...we could use an actual strung up little clown as our banner. :P

Torque Mitabu |

"You clowns aren't going to be devouring anyone in a hurry. Red River went out to draft seven soldiers, he can back with five and half."
Oh, and don't even TRY to grab our banner. I will burn you, and not just with somewhat-obvious short jokes...
smack talk aside you've got a nice...eccentric unit here. I look forward to seeing if you guys leave any of Isgar standing.

I think at this point eccentric would probably describe all of our units.

Torque Mitabu |

Eccentic at the very least. All that remains to be seen now is if we make it into the history books or simply become a cautionary tale.
You joke Bear, but it's only a matter of time before I'm going to have to convince my squad to use some kind of flight apparatus. Strange how people are so much more trusting of words and gestures than a mass of clattering clockwork.

Pvt.Fury |

"Red River not want soldier... Red River find killer. Not need watch back when sleep, you not see us come."
"How close you reckon I need be to put a bolt in the center of your forehead big guy? Come. Try for our Banner. And bring the midgets. I LOVE shooting me some low to the ground game!"
I too wish to express my appreciation for the eccentric group of vagabonds gathered in your Squad. Touche!

Pvt.Fury |

The 6ft5 half Ulfen Recruit grins maliciously at the two Squadmen before turning. "One day Jolly Green it'll be you and me, then we will see who is the little one!"
Strolling slowly from the Camp, Jax tosses Abitan a viscous grin. "Come visit us Halfling. We need a new Standard!" Laughing loudly he leaves.

Hakon "Hooch Clown" |

The little powder white face takes on a dreamy aspect as he idly strokes the cart. 'Oh, yes, I'd forgotten about Gremm. Charles would love ever so much to have some company.'
Upon seeing one of the Puddle Puppies in their camp, Hakon gasps. 'Oh, oh, Private Fury! How tall are you? More specifically, how long do you gauge your femurs to be?'
