Maria draws her Shield wand and touches the Earth elemental with it.
If I remember correctly Gregor is best without the extra shielding, right?
Earth Elemental AC is now 46.


You cannot cast shield on anyone but yourself. Range is personal.

In any case how would a shield spell take a medium earth elemental from an AC of 18 to an AC of 46? That's one hell of a spell.

did we really need to wake this bugger up? Trib, seeing the statue come to life, moves in closer to attack the construct, slashing at its feet.

The statue does not appear to have combat reflexes, so Tribim is able to get in close and attack. However he misses.

Archy watches his companions take earth shattering blows and still close on the thing.. "Perhaps this one is to much for us to handle?"

He lobs a couple of force bombs at the creature..

Is the statue attacking from prone? Would it be smart enough to do that or would it eat and AoO to stand and attack once? Just need to know if im taking a penalty to ranged attack..


Forgot it was prone actually. That means the statue missed Klor twice.

Maybe he'll try standing up next round. No AOOs now.

It seems inm the only one that has played 1st edition and can spot the tpk.. This guy is way out of our league.. Im guessing at least DR 10.. But it seems people would like to die so by all means..


Nobody has bothered to make a knowledge check to identify it, so I guess people are just assuming it is a tolerable CR.

The creature is still on the greased area, so it will take it some effort to stand up.
Maria will Aid Archaemedes Knowledge roll (auto sucess) so he gets a 37 check result.

Rallying Cry (Ex) As a standard action once per day, you can shout a cry instilled with the noble sacrifices of your ancestor. You and any allies within 30 feet who can hear you gain a +2 morale bonus on attack and damage rolls for 4 rounds.


Archie:
It is a stone golem, but bigger than normal. DR adamantine. can cast slow, immune to magic, construct traits

Klor will gamely try to chop it up.

But not really do so well.

Golem pops slow (free action ability so it does nor provoke). Klor, Tribim, and Gregor all have to make a DC 17 will save or be slowed. It then tries to stand up, which provokes from all those folks.
Klor:
to hit: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26 damage: 1d10 + 14 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 14 + (2) = 19 hit

reflex save: 1d20 ⇒ 11 pass and it swings at Klor again since it actually felt that last hit.

to hit: 1d20 ⇒ 9 damage: 4d8 + 13 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 6) + 13 = 31

Archie hits it with another bomb.

reflex: 1d20 ⇒ 6 and down he goes once more.

Phillip, Maria will probably "attract" the creature Attack of Opportunity, so you can move in safely.
Also, when/if the creature stands the Grease spell can (if it fails the Saving Throw) make it fall again. :D

Trib got the AOO. He hits once for a normal attack and then lands a crit.

The creature is still prone? How damaged does it seems?


There is a fair bit chipped away, but it does not seem likely to fall over soon. It is still prone.
