About Maria van Berchove
The tall woman walks in a way that doesn't leave any doubts about her army training. She looks for the man she is looking for, and approach him directly.
"Greetings! I am Maria van Berchove, at your service. I need a guide to take me to the Black Monastery. Why? Well, I am a descendant of General Gustav van Berchove, who died in the storming of the fortress. He fought in the first line against the evil that pour out of that dammed place, and died leading his men in defeating those foul beasts. Yes, his body was never recovered. Since then my family has waiting for the evil to return, as we know that evil never disappear, only hides. So when I learn that the Black Monastery was back, I resigned my captain army commission on the spot and came here, looking for a guide. I'll make sure that the Black Monastery is sent back to the hell it came from, and stay there for a long time. I have been waiting for this all my life. My family has been preparing for this all this time. And maybe I can give my ancestor a proper burial, and recover a priceless brooch King Philip Magnus IV gave the founder of our house hundreds of years ago, and that was lost in that battle."
She drinks a glass of wine.
"So, can you take me there?"

SPECIAL ABILITIES
=================================================
Bloodline Arcana Whenever you take damage in battle, your effective caster level increases by 1 during your next turn. This effect does not apply more than once per round.
Bonus Feat Humans select one extra feat at 1st level.
Bonus Sorcerer Spell (4x) Add one spell known from the sorcerer spell list. This spell must be at least one level below the highest spell level the sorcerer can cast.
Cantrips You learn a number of cantrips, or 0-level spells. These spells are cast like any other spells, but they do not consume any slots and may be used again.
Eschew Materials
Focused Mind Your childhood was either dominated by lessons of some sort (be they musical or academic) or by a horrible home life that encouraged your ability to block out distractions to focus on the immediate task at hand. You gain a +2 trait bonus on concentration checks.
Humanoid Traits (Ex) Humanoids breathe, eat, and sleep.
Illuminator You speak unusually well when you are filled with the light of Sarenrae. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Diplomacy checks, and Diplomacy is always a class skill for you.
Martyred Bloodline One of your ancestors paid the ultimate price for her beliefs. This distant relative martyred herself out of her devout belief in a cause, and that sacrifice echoed down to her descendants, infusing them with arcane power. Your bloodline confers abilities that allow you to endure pain, resist torture, and inspire others.
Meticulous You plan and prepare everything in detail, and aren't good at improvising when things don't go as planned. You take a -2 penalty on skill checks for skills with which you're untrained.
Rallying Cry (Ex) As a standard action once per day, you can shout a cry instilled with the noble sacrifices of your ancestor. You and any allies within 30 feet who can hear you gain a +2 morale bonus on attack and damage rolls for 4 rounds.
Reactionary You were bullied often as a child, but never quite developed an offensive response. Instead, you became adept at anticipating sudden attacks and reacting to danger quickly. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Initiative checks.
Sacrifical Boon (Sp) As an immediate action, you can sacrifice 1 hit point in exchange for a +1 sacred bonus on the next damage roll, saving throw, or skill check you make. This bonus only applies as long as you use it by or during your next turn - otherwise both your sacrificed hit point and the bonus are wasted. You can use this ability 9 times per day. (0 used)
Skilled Humans gain an additional skill rank at first level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.
Favored Class Bonus 3 HP; 2 Sorcerer Spell Level 1; 2 Sorcerer Spell Level 2.
Meticulous Drawback You plan and prepare everything in detail, and aren't good at improvising when things don't go as planned. You take a -2 penalty on skill checks for skills with which you're untrained.
