Okay, well now I am confused again. The entry for Spirit Totem, Lesser, says the attack is made at the Barbarian's full BAB plus their charisma modifier, and then it does d4 damage (negative energy) also plus the charisma modifier. Was that changed by some errata somewhere?
While raging, the barbarian is surrounded by spirit wisps that harass her foes. These spirits make one slam attack each round against a living foe that is adjacent to the barbarian. This slam attack is made using the barbarian's full base attack bonus, plus the barbarian's Charisma modifier. The slam deals 1d4 points of negative energy damage, plus the barbarian's Charisma modifier.

Leto Colinaria |

From reading all that it appears that those effected by the Skald's raging song are considered barbarians of equal level to the Skald for rage power effects.
However it says nothing about those affected being considered the skald or a barbarian for the sake of base attack bonus.
It does specifically call out the spirit totem as using the skald's CHA score instead of his allies.
When starting an inspired rage, the skald chooses which rage powers (if any) to add to the song, and all affected allies gain the benefit of these rage powers, using the skald's level as their effective barbarian level. The skald uses his skald level as his barbarian level for the purpose of selecting rage powers that require a minimum barbarian level. If the rage power's effects depend on the skald's ability modifier (such as lesser spirit totem), affected allies use the skald's ability modifier instead of their own for the purposes of this effect.
Basically because the "Barbarian" in the case of this ability (Song based rage power) is not in fact an actual barbarian the call out to the ability using the "Barbarian's full base attack bonus" implies that each person under the effects of the song uses their own base attack bonus.
Because they are considered "The barbarian" for the sake of the ability when under the effects of Avrids song.Well that or they get to make an attack at full barbarian BAB due to being considered a barbarian of equivalent level to skalds level for the sake of the ability.
My brain hurts a little.
Also not sure if flagbearer actually works that way when lesser spirit totem has an errata relating to it tacked on.

I got a message from Marcus that said he was going to post, so I waited a bit
But he didn't post so I will update tomorrow
Also, sheesh, I spent Monday and Tuesday in the hospital, and now I am on short term disability, and I am home waiting on the results of my test. Seems the surgery didn't treat the real problem. I hope to keep posting, but I am feeling a bit rough around the edges if you know what I mean

Terquem |
Look, I apologize. I know I've been slow to bring all this together into some kind of actual adventure, but you guys got to help me out a little bit now and then.
Leto is specifically addressing Calex, Riku, and Poseus
Arvid and Marwan can enter Woodbridge and will (should) be greeted by Robert and Marcus)
any questions?

Poseus Murandae |

I am sorry guys, I have been busy of late and stretching my attention span too thinly over things.
I think I might have to bow out of this game to ease the pressure a bit.
Good luck and have fun to all of you.

Terquem |
With Poseus leaving us, only Calex and marcus remain from the original recruitment for this game.
Many of the plot elements that were established early were built around characters who are no longer in the game.
I'm a little bit worried that I have made a mistake in the direction the game is going now, but I hope I can keep it interesting without it becoming stagnant.

Arvid Songstál |

Note to all my games: My monitor just broke, which means I don't have normal internet connection. It'll be 1-2 weeks before it's fixed, so expect slower posting.

Terquem |
Thanks for letting us know, Arvid.
It took a year of posts to rescue the Gymnaga from the Tafganor.
I don’t think that was very much fun for any of us. I made some bad decisions.
The village will be attacked by a small force of Tafganor and Sashi-Anhain, and I am going to try to think of a way to stream line that event so that all players can participate in the town’s defense, fight some bad guys, and at the same time, keep this game from stalling yet again.
I am building a map of Woodbridge. Also, I am building a map of the county of Woodbridge.
Dieredon was in charge of the scouts of the Alodoan Empire in the county and with that player now gone, I don’t know what to do with that plot element.
I have learned that trying to shape a game to particular characters, in this medium, is dangerous, as players drop out of games all the time.
My plan is to, after Woodbridge is saved, introduce a plot that is not character specific. I hope I come up with something all of you can enjoy.

Update on my return - I don't want to bore anyone with details, but here we go. I bought an HP Pavilion on Friday, returned that machine to Best Buy on Monday and picked up a Dell. I am almost done setting up the Dell, and lucky for me my portable Hard Drive has almost all of my old maps and tokens. I hope to post a brief game update to all my games today, and by this weekend I should be posting maps again.
Thanks for being patient with me.

Marcus (and anyone else interested in building the setting)
After going over my notes, and making some corrections I hope this is the most accurate count yet taken of the population of Woodbridge
The beginning population of the village of Woodbridge included the following groups to make a total of 327 individuals
210 are Humans of Urandoman descent living in 21 residences Lakeside and 11 residences Riverside, for a total of 32 residences – there are 47 Urandoman human families (some families share a residence), but only 32 different family names (some identical family names occupy different residences)
14 are Humans of Alodoan descent (all Alodoan humans live Lakeside) of four families living in three residences, Lakeside
18 are Elves in six families (some elven families share a residence while more cottages are being constructed, all Lakeside)
15 are Halflings in four families (the Halfling families each have their own residences, Lakeside)
43 are Maetaur in seven families (Maetaur Families of Mingary Bend)
27 are Gymnaga-folk, in five families (Gymnaga Families of MacNorra House)
Of the 32 family names of Urandomans, we have only called out 24. This list should identify those families, who we have mentioned in that family, where they live and how many are in that household
1) The Ballinig Family – Lakeside: (5) Anna Ballinig, eldest daughter
2) The Barrow Family – Riverside: (1)
3) The Dale Family – Riverside: (3) Marcus, and his parents
4) The Dooley Family – Lakeside: (2) Eghan, married to Lynne (Flaherty)(his sister is Rebecca Flynn)
5) The Flaherty Family – Riverside: (2) Old Sean (his sister is the widow Ginny MacNorra), (Lynne Dooley) and Patricia
6) The Flynn Family (2) – Lakeside: (4) Michael, married to Corrine (O’lehig) and (2) Mitchell married to Becky (Dooley)
7) The Foregan Family – Lakeside: (5) Sean, carpenter
8) The Galihan Family – Riverside (4) Geoffrey, Fiona, and two children, they keep Chickens
9) The Goodwell Family – Riverside: (5) Elizabeth, and her parents, Ulan and Charlotte, and two small children
10) The Gresham Family – Lakeside: (2) Wiscara, and her Mother
11) The Holman Family – Lakeside: (4) Lorre Holman, M, HU, 14
12) The Macintyre Family – Lakeside: (5) Robert age 17, parents are John and Melanie, brother Benjamin 15, and sister Margaret 12
13) The MacNorra Family – Lakeside: (2) Ginny MacNorra (Flaherty) the second wife and widow of Duffy MacNorra, youngest Son is Corky
14) The Mitterson Family – Lakeside: (6) Logan, he is the mason, son is Tram Mitterson, 14
15) The Oakley Family – Lakeside: (5) Chance
16) The Oghan Family (2) – Riverside: (4) Oscar and Lulu (Molu Woolorly) sons are Sean and Roan, and the other Oghan Family, (6) Thomas the potter, Oscar’s older brother
17) The O’Lehig Family – Riverside: (5) Connor and L’sbirr, their children; Donald, (Corrine), Connor, and Willow
18) The O’Narro Family – Lakeside: (4)
19) The Panforey Family (2) – Lakeside: (5) Corlew Panforey, married to Rowelliwyn (Woolorly) they have three children, Rebecca, 18, Tabitha 13, and Thomas 11, (1) Auria is Panforey’s sister
20) The Roarke Family – Lakeside: (4) Brother Phineas
21) The Sharety Family – Lakeside: (6)
22) The Toolwoad Family – Lakeside: (2) Margie and her daughter, Tammy
23) The Woolorly Family – Riverside: (2) Martin and Jeanine Woolorly, (daughter is Molu (Lulu) O’ghan)
24) The Onahugh Family – Riverside: (9) Torrey, mentioned in opening
Most of these families are two adults with some children ranging in age from newborn to 18 years old (some households are only two eldery adults, while some other households are elderly adults with adult children living with them). Mostly we have not identified everyone's specific age, but from this list we could estimate that of the 210 Urandomans in Woodbridge, almost half would be between the ages of 15 and forty, so we could say 100 able bodied
We also have the Alodoans (who have hardly been described at all as practically no player has wanted to play an Alodaon Halfling, Elf, or local resident of Woodbridge
We should have
Human, Alodoan Families
There are 14 Alodoan humans of 4 families living in Woodbridge, with 4 different Alodoan family names (none identified yet)
Elven, Alodoan Families
There are a total of 18 Elves (Alodoan) in six families (some elven families share a residence while more cottages are being constructed)
1) The Asserin Family – Lakeside: (3) Yanil (M, E, 102), his wife (F, E, 78) and son (M, E, 40), share their home with another Elven family (3), while another home is under construction (total 6 individuals)
2) The Havannis Family – Lakeside: (5)Lethrin (M, E, 54), Sunna (F, E, 47), and their three children (Kaspeae (NPC), is the eldest daughter, and sings in the bread and Board
3) Dieredon – is now D’ieredon, an NPC ranger (1)
4) Unnamed (2)
5) Unnamed (3)
6) Unnamned (1)
Halfling, Alodoan Families
There are a total 15 halflings in 4 families (One NPC was identified)
We also have the Maetaur of Mingary bend
Urandoman, Maetaur Families – forty three, from seven Maetaur families
Of which we can safely assume more than half are able to fight, so probably 30 total
The population of Woodbridge originally counted 27 Gymnagaopthians living at McNorra House. One young male Gymnaga was killed in the raid on the settlement, and the rest of the population is now headed for Castletown (with the exception of Alinda Carpenter who has joined Calex and returned to Woodbridge). Leto, a Player Character Gymnaga was not originally a member of this population
I think this gives us a total of 100 Urandomans able to bear arms in defense of Riverside, about 30 Maetaur, and maybe 20 Alodoans for a total of 150 who will take up arms (and if things went poorly, probably 50 of the remaining total would pick up arms, but be either very young or very old)
I will be placing the data of this post in the campaign journal linked at the top of the page.
It is still sort of a disappointment to me that I never could keep a dedicated Maetaur Player Character in this game.
The original recruitment for this game mentioned that in addition to some regular "monster killing" the game would also include world building contributions from all the players. We seen some of that, but I just want to remind everyone that you can always contribute more at any time

Something to think about - No one in the Woodbridge community has ever had to deal with Tafganor or Sashi-Anhain directly (it has been over a hundred years since Tafganor were seen in this part of Urandoma, and probably longer for the Sashi-Anhain. No one would know if Sashi-Anhain can swim as well as Gymnaga-folk for certain. However, culturally, the Gymnaga-folk still have emotional scars held over from years of oppression from the Sashi-Anhain, and some folk still tell tales of the time of heroism when the Gymnaga broke free of the bondage they were subjected to. In these old oral traditions, it is sometimes mentioned that the Sashi-Anhain are afraid of deep water.

This took me longer than I wanted it to, but I think I have a usable map of Riverside, now posted in the header at the top of this page
It isn't a pretty map, but it does show all the homes, with an attached family name, and the location of the bridge and festival stage.
The people of Woodbridge have been erecting a palisade wall along the northeast edge of the island, but the work is slow and it is a large island (.1 square mile/ about 60 acres)

Terquem |
There are not any restoration spells available in this village. Leto and Clex can sleep for six to eight hours before the attack.
I hope I’ve given enough information for people to decide where they want to be when the sun sets. You should use the discussion thread for any more planning you want to do, or for questions you have. Once everyone is satisfied that they are ready, we will begin an epic battle for Riverside.

Leto Colinaria |

Fortunately Leto hasn't really expended any spells so he ought to be alright.
Any further thoughts from the party on bolstering the defending side for the coming battle?
Leto has said his piece on traps and slings, I can't think of much else that would make sense for him to add at this point without very specific knowledge of the island.
Though if anyone has a clever way of lighting up the battlefield it would be wise to have it ready. Our side is going to be at a disadvantage with as many humans as we do in the dark.
Defending the bridge will likely be a big thing for all this as it is the sole choke point the town has against the orcs. Not going to matter against snake people but snake people don't have diehard.

Calex |

It seems to me that our main priority might be the bridge- so far its likely the lake will be a big enough impediment by itself to offer a fair degree of protection. Maybe if we take up a section of the bridge it will stop them even more- sort of turning it into a temporary draw bridge? As long as we don't destroy the main footings of the bridge, we should be able to repair and rebuild anything later.

Terquem |
Okay that's a good point, but Patricia will point out that thwarting the attackers at the bridge might make them destroy Lakeside. Defending Lakeside would be impossible, and Patricia thinks it will only go well for Woodbridge if there is a way to draw the enemy onto the island where you want them to go, and attack them where you can control them - that will be Patricia's advice

Leto Colinaria |

If we don't show them a weakness that they can exploit they will make their own.
A fake out I guess? a shame we don't have more time because this would be perfect for some pit traps and a bunch of oil bombs once you get the enemy force where you want them.
I'm also fairly sure Leto is asleep for the current questions as he went to bed after the talk at the bar.
However if he is I'll make a post of him suggesting we get a group of faster warriors to intercept the raiding party and harry them.
If we can lead them to west side of the town before retreating back it would at the very least encourage an encounter at the bridge rather than the Lakeside.
Anybody good at angering people? perhaps we could tell them their mothers smell of elderberries.

Calex |

I'm afraid there will be a delay in my posting. There's been a death in the family and I'll be going up country for the funeral. Be back Monday. Go ahead and take over Calex while I'm gone if you need to, Terqeum.

Terquem |
I will be traveling to Redondo Beach, California for training from Sunday to Saturday next week. The company is sending a laptop computer with me, and as long as the hotel has WiFi I should be posting normally, but if there is a delay, please forgive me, as you know, ITS REDONDO BEACH in February, and I live in Idaho, hahahahahahahahahah

Calex |

Thank you for your condolences. She was my Great Aunt who, in my younger days, was a fantastic, and supportive soul who helped my parents allot when they were 1st starting out. Sadly we fell largely out of contact in her final years, as she suffered from Alzheimer's and would not remember or recognize us anymore, plus we lived so far away that it made visiting difficult. A small mercy was that she passed quietly and painlessly in her sleep, having lived almost a century. She was cremated and her remains interred with her husband, whom she outlived by 30 years, re-uniting them forever.

I am having trouble getting on line and posting game updates (I've lost three so far) due to the heavy traffic, fortunately I keep a word document saved that has everything I've already written, so I don't have to type it all in again.
I am thinking we might want to all take a break until this crazy period ends after march 8th so that we are all not frustrated by the heavy traffic issues. What do you all think?
