MacFetus has reversed his interest in this game.

Is there anyone out there who I can talk into playing a Maetaur Druid?

Hi there all,

I just stated my interest for the Maetaur Druid.

I will roll some ability scores and see if that gets the creative juices flowing...

4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 5, 4) = 15 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 6) = 15 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 5, 4) = 13 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 3, 3) = 14 = 11
5d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6, 5, 2) = 20 = 15
5d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1, 3, 6) = 18 = 14
5d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 2, 2, 4) = 12 = 9 = dropped

Not bad at all, now where to take this...

Ok, slowly getting there, now what is my starting wealth?

2d6 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8 * 10 = 80 gp

Hi there,

Magabeus here,

I have entered my character sheet in my profile, please check if this is acceptable.

I envision myself as a person that watches over the well-being of the animals in the community, going from farm to farm and all the places where animals are kept to check for diseases, helps with behavioral problems etc. I occasionally train animals, but that depends a lot on the owner.

I will work on equipment and background, but would like to check first if the short paragraph above and character sheet in profile are acceptable / fit your needs for the campaign

looks really good - thank you for putting effort into this, it is appreciated.

You might want to take a look at the "house rule" mentioned in the campaign details. some changes to how "perception" works.

Also, I would like you to feel free to post to the discussion thread and when you are ready I will introduce you in the game thread.

if you are up to the challenge a great deal of the "religion" and "culture" of the Maetaur people of this setting is still open for development.

Hi, I can't seem to find the "house rule" you mentioned.

my apologies, I am not using my standard "perception" house rule in this campaign, so never mind :)

stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 4) = 1512
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 6, 4) = 1815
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6, 6) = 2017
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5, 2) = 1311

stats: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 6, 3, 3) = 1612
stats: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 2, 6) = 1714
stats: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 2, 2, 2) = 1713

17, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11

(Seems the best place to put these if you do wind up needing me :))

Welcome back!

If you clicked on this post, then let me tell you that this campaign has lost a lot of good players recently. And I would like to try to recruit a couple new players if I can find anyone interested. I will be starting a new recruitment thread, with details on character creation, and a brief synopsis of where the campaign has gone so far.

But basically, in addition to this being a fairly “run of the mill” wilderness th4emend adventure for standard Pathfinder characters, it is also supposed to be a campaign setting building experience for all participating players.

Right at the moment, a small group of heroes, A human Cleric (Riku), a Maetaur Shaman (Mina), a Human Wizard (Calex), and a Gymnagaopthian commoner/ranger (Poseus) are rescuing a number of Gymnaga-folk from Poseus’ village who were taken captive by the evil Tafganor (Orcs) and their Sashi-Anhain (Snake-men similar to the Yaun-Ti) allies, from an encampment on the banks of a small lake

If you would like to join this game post your interest here, and I will direct you to the actual recruitment thread as soon as it is up and running

Characters created for this campaign at this time will be 3rd level, but will not have standard WBL gear (as the setting is decidedly not like standard Pathfinder campaign settings).

I'd love to join this; do I post a character sheet on this thread? Aside from that, are any races illegal here?

Oh yes, there is a short list of available races and classes, and two new races that are available to interested players. I wouldn't get in too big of a hurry to post an alias to this thread. There will be an actual recruitment thread for this replacement effort.

I'd be interested but I don't know if you want to put up with me in a third game.

I smell bacon.

Rorek55:
Didn't you create a character for one of my unorthodox games, and then, just, disappear?

trawets71, you could join this one, but then don't blame me when you find out how poor the DM is at doing this stuff.

Movin, seriously, aren't you sick of me yet?

Anyway, for the rest of you, I haven't built a proper recruitment for the couple of new characters I'd like to add to this game (I'd sort of really like to have one local human join the party, plus one more Maetaur and one Gymnaga) as this weekend I ended up felling a couple of dead plum trees, even bout a chainsaw (never used one before this weekend, sort of fun, sort of scary).

I hope to be working on a proper recruitment today.

But, keep in mind I'd like the players who are interested in this game to know that it is supposed to be a world building exercise, as well as a standard wilderness ( some small dungeons) campaign.

I'm also messing around with the idea of transferring the existing characters, and all new characters, to 5th edition, in fact I was even considering running a parallel game with all the same characters, using both Pathfinder and 5e for the two games, even allowing for the same characters in the two different games to make different choices and see how that works.

@Terquem:

I do not recall. I wouldn't think so. I admit Awhile back I had to withdraw from some games due to life, however I at the very least let the GM know. I've never just disappeared

(Did not see your response until now.)

"You see no bacon" "You desire to go fishing with a Tuba."

@Terquem
Me? Nah. your games are always the most amusing type of interesting to me. I mean who else would let me play as a rogue made out of psudo-Bacon?

I've tinkered with 5E once with my FtF groups before but they didn't enjoy relearning the game with a new system and decided to move back to Pathfinder. I'd find the option interesting though I might require some assistance in getting all the parts made. I've only created one entirely insane gnome-ish wizard who's traveling companion was a Badger only interested in seeing what he tasted like once he died.

I'd be interested in learning more about your Gymnagaophthian race. Never had a chance to play a "naga" type character before. Seems like it could be fun. If you have a collected chunk of lore for them I'd love to read it.

Thanks Movin - you know I think I will make this recruitment open to anyone, even people who have not already learned to avoid me with the good common sense God gave them, *sheesh*

The official recruitment thread will go up today, and I am looking for three players to play at least one Gymnaga, one Maetaur, and one Alodoan Halfling

The recruitment will have as much information as I can collect from existing notes and post from the game thread, so it might be a long read.

I am working on the finishing touches now.

Got slammed with responsibilities today, will not have a solid recruitment for new players ready until tomorrow,

Sorry

Well I put up a separate recruitment thread yesterday. I hope we can find a few interested players.

Recruitment for Gymnagaopthian and Maetaur Player Characters is open again for this game

If you are interested just post here and I will tell you what is available.
