Lang stops and stays back allowing her to finish with the other student.

Vai, who had been quietly standing to the side, demure in her manners - once again playing the shy girl, all the fierceness from before having slowly drained away as the scans and conversation took place. She does still seem intensely curiously, but definitely quieter now.

first I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to travel to the firebird home, I learned allot. but based on those learning's I am requesting permission to journey home to consult with the temple elders on what I have learned. Also depending on how things go some of the other students in the class may need to join me. but I will come back for them. Master Hito needs to decide if they have permission into the temple grounds.Lang looks to her respectfully may I return home to consult my temple elders?

Mel is trying to listen to both the conversation about the band and listen to the new drummers.
Mel has always been in touch with the local music scenes recalling all the new and old bands around.
Mel does not respond to the discussion concerning the bands though. but does turn her attention back to the drummers.
after they finish I can say this you do possess a unique style and talent. and I for one am impressed. Where I am having difficulty though is I can't seem to fit myself in with you guys. I mean nothing I can do can really improve what you already got. I believe your music is a genre all its own, anything I do to try and improve it will only make it worse.

I realize that you are familiar with what you play and I can see a solo performance for you both. but I also wonder how versatile you are. can you also play the kind of music I was playing when you came in? You see I need that but I can also help you to branch out with your talent as solo artists as well. "Yes, that can be arranged. Just give me a second here to write you a note. You can take this to the teleportation room and they'll send you home. they'll give you a chip too that can bring you back here. It avoids the dangers of travelling in between."
She hastily scribbled a permission slip and handed it to him. "Here you go. And we can talk about the possible visits of other students later....And, Lang? If you ever need to talk you know where to find me...I always keep plenty of tea and cookies in my office," she said gently.

Vai blushed a bit at that (the mention of nudity), but responds to the other thing. "I'm.. not sure. I've never met this Professor, so he must be new." Vai says with a surety. After all, Ephebe had mentioned that their Uncle was Ryo, so they probably know all the staff to some degree.
