The turtle tucks his head into his shell as the fruit flies by.
Tom gives you a look of stop that.

She sighs and gives up in frustration after looking through every drawer she could see.
"I have no idea whatsoever where Ryo keeps the student handbooks. Would you mind if I sent you an electronic copy?"

"If you want to come out to the gardens with us, I was going to help Tom find his way back there. I'm just going to skip Advanced PE today. Jimmy does it all the time, I don't see why I can't," she added just a little guiltily.
"I'd love to Ephebe, but I have Agarthian History 101 with your Uncle first period. Somehow, I'd think he'd notice my absence, and blow your chances at playing hooky." Pauses "Can I ask you a personal question?"

"Define pray. Kronos doesn't really care about ceremony and devotions and all of that. So I don't really have the same kind of prayers as a lot of other clerics. I do visit the Clock every day. And I get orders from Kronos as to what he expects me to do. But not very often."

A slimy fanged frog enters the cafeteria. Snatching a piece of chicken from a surprised student, it hops towards Krays's table.

Slarrow leaps up onto the seat, and onto the table. It then notices the turtle.

Slarrow approaches the newcomer tentatively, sniffing at it.

The turtle quickly (hahah) moves to Tom.
Tom grabs the turtle
"Okay," she said, rubbing the bridge of her nose. "I'm not sure where Ryo is right now. That's why I was leaving him a note. But I suppose you can wait for him if you really want."
"Okay, let's see we got name....and interests and abilities...so we need to sign you up for classes and assign you a room. I'll get you a student handbook. It has all of the school rules printed in it....if I can figure out where he put them...." she said, her voice trailing off as she started looking through the filing cabinets.
"Very well, yet I do not think I will be needing a room. I require a very large amount of space and certain needs. I have my own home for that which I carry with me. A location to place my gate when I am gone would be all that is needed."
Solivala waits for as long as is needed for the Headmasters return.
She sighs and gives up in frustration after looking through every drawer she could see.

"Okay, well, we can have the furniture moved out of your dorm room. That should give you room for your gate if I'm remembering its dimensions correctly. If I'm not, the room will adjust."
She presses a few buttons on her wristband and a tiny silver bot flies into the swarm and then self destructs leaving behind the file for the student handbook.
"I've been working on expanding the workshop. You have your own section there if you wish to make use of it. There's basic materials and a couple of basic workbenches, but I figured you would have your own tools and would want to set it up your own way. Anything not in your section you have to ask permission from either James or Ashe or myself before taking since those are our workspaces. But if there's something in particular you need we can probably get it for you."
"Now, class schedule. Hmm..."

H'Tor has told me of Death's intervention on our behalf, but other than that, I have no idea what his agenda may be. With this issue regarding Whoops, I'd like some guidance for once. I know there are spells for such, but I don't know them. I'd like to pray to him."

"Death is a lot like Time in that it happens everywhere. The Clock is an abstraction. A physical representation of something that's actually everywhere. I think Kronos made it so that he wouldn't have to keep explaining things to his champions. Maybe Death doesn't have one yet.""And I've never needed special robes. Incense sure, but only for crafting bullets. I don't know what Death might like though..."

She gritted her teeth. Patience. She needed to have patience. She took a deep breath.
"You said yourself that my creations were not the same as yours. They don't have consciousness. Something has to be alive in order to be killed."
"I'm sorry that it offends you, but I have good reasons for doing things the way I do. Most of my creations have to be able to operate in hostile environments. These protocols help keep the programming clean. If you would like to help me design a better protection system so the nanites don't have to be destroyed I would be happy to work with you."
He remains silent for a few moments.
"It seems what you consider alive differs from my own. I should say there is more to your own creations then you know."
Digging in a pocket he removes a small clear gem. He seems to look at it for a moment then put it back away.
"You should consider harmonic data transfer. It is limited and one way if you choose, little different then speaking but beyond normal biological ability to hear much less understand. You would not be required to do anything but set a program."
"Harmonic data transfer? Like...sound? Like with crystals? I've been working on switching over to a crystal based memory system, but so much of that technology was lost and none of it was ever miniaturized...well, why would it be, large was better for them....I haven't been able to get it into anything smaller than my wrist and headbands, not into actual nanites yet...."
She picked up a piece of paper and started drawing sketches all over it with labels written in draconic crammed into the margins. As she finished a page she would throw it in his general direction as she was totally focused on the next one. She kept going for about two minutes, producing ten pages crammed with design sketches and instructions.
"This is what I have so far..."
He looks over some of her work.
"Crystals are a good way to go but normally it is best to focus on the principle, certain metals are not bad etheir. Sound is created thru vibrations and while crystals are a good medium, on such a small scale with free moving bots. It is better to have the nanites become the crystal on that same scale or sense yours can not do this have them play the part of the crystal. They create the vibrations themselves, yet you should do this rarely as it is likely to strain them as they are. This would lead to damage or self destruction which is what we wish to avoid."
Another few moments of silence.
"As for crystal data, that is done on the same scale of the nanites. You create an energy print so to speak with in special crystals that retain it. The amount of data that could be kept with in is vast, growing crystals are best. I would guess the size was a rough system or an ocean of data. Not having the ability to do things on a small scale would force you to use bigger versions for your purpose. Few things are truely new, mostly it is the process of refinement on the original concept."
Solivala puts down the papers.
"I think we have strayed off topic, you should simply think on the idea when you have time. How is my class schedule coming?"
"Oh, right, class schedule. Sorry. I get distracted sometimes. They only worry if I miss meals." ^.^
"Okay, so I'm thinking we should put you in History of Agartha...I know, I know...you know more about the history of Agartha than most I'm sure, but you missed the last century or so and I thought it might be valuable for you to catch up. Hmmm...second period you're going to need special instruction for social skills...I'll get back to you on that once I know who will be teaching....Okay, moving on....Advanced Magical Theory for your third period...fourth period should be lunch....then one of the wizardry classes..I'll let the instructor place you in the correct level....And last period mechanics. You'll be more of an assistant instructor there I think, but it's not that glorified of a position as there really aren't many students I'm afraid. That should about cover it I think...unless there's anything else you'd like to change or add."

Solivala goes to the waiting area and stays there, the orbs moving as they like and shifting forms from time to time.
Tom makes his way to the garden with Ephebe.
Krays will attend his classes for the day, looking forward to his attempt to reach his patron...
Ephebe sat on a stone bench soaking in the warmth of the sun as she watched Tom exploring the garden. It was peaceful here. And a nice change from starting the day by getting boulders thrown at her.
Dennis lumbered into the garden carrying a box of tissues. He looked like he was still pretty miserable.
"Hey, your bob said tell you that bissing wud class was okay, but dot all of theb." he grabbed a tissue and blew his nose loudly. "I'b supposed to stay with Tob for a bit, see if I cad udderstadd hib. I guess they figured sidce by bob is a dryad, I bight have better luck cobbudicatigg."
He blew his nose again.
"Still feeling pretty awful?" she asked sympathetically. He tried to nod but couldn't quite manage it.
"Let's see what I can do to help, okay?"
She case Remove Disease on Dennis.
The young minotaur took a deep breath, thankful to actually be able to breathe through his nose.
"Thanks, Ephebe, I feel a lot better now. Anyways, I'll stay with Tom and see if I can't figure out the language thing. You head to class now."
He sat down beside Tom and started speaking in sylvan.
"Good morning, Tom. I'm Dennis. Nice to meet you."
Fieri had to admit that she did feel better after some food and a shower. She waited until the healer's back was turned and crept into the infirmary. Jiminy was still asleep. She curled back up in her chair and started reading.
