lots of stuff
Her amused attitude becomes instantly frosty. She hits a few buttons on her wristband.
"Initiate Isolation Protocol Number 349."The silver bots clump together into an amorphous ball, sending out small webs to the black spheres, giving Solivala's nanites a nasty shock as they self-destructed. Meanwhile, the spell trigger went off enclosing Solivala and his spheres inside a ball of force.
"Now that I have your attention, let me be perfectly clear this time. The devices I build are used in many difficult, life-threatening situations, whether that's healing people or helping the Resistance. Your interference with them could cost lives including those of my family. This. Will. Not. Be. Tolerated. If you cannot keep your swarm under control then you and they will be removed from the premises. Clearly we have a disagreement when it comes to terms used to describe that process, but I do not believe you are actually stupid. Students at Avalon are forbidden from attacking each other. Your lack of judgement of what is and isn't a threat is not a good excuse for violating those rules. Again, if you cannot control your swarm, you and they will be removed from the premises and not allowed to return. Make no mistake, you were allowed through those wards this time. And I would be a very poor mother indeed if I did not understand restraint. I'm sorry that you had a difficult past, but that is not an excuse for bad behavior. Most of the kids here had a difficult past. Extraordinary abilities are rarely met with kindness and understanding. This is meant to be a safe haven. If you cannot respect that you do not belong here. Do I make myself clear?"
No, you can't dispel the ball of force, it's self renewing, and it's one of Jiminy's creations so it doesn't rely on nanites enough for you to control it.

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |

Jiminy smiles weakly as he watches Belna drive off Professor Relkav.
"Wow. I wonder what he did to get her dander up that bad?"
"Sorry, Ephebe, I didn't mean to get distracted that time. Look, I don't really understand any of this. I mean, your mind is the same. I mean, really. On a telepathic level, it's the same. The rest of it...I don't quite know what to say," he said, looking uncomfortable.

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |

"I'm...uh....sorry," he said, looking askance at Fieri, "if my...response offended you in some way. I...uh...need time to...er....process the information..."

Solivala does not react at all, her nanites shock is absorbed.
"You are mistaken yet again. As I have stated my swarm is self aware and a thinking being on to itself. My control is what keeps them from spreading without end and destroying everything they consider a threat."
He points outside the force sphere above Aananda. A dark cloud is forming and spreading.
"My swarm is with in this entire school, I do not summon them into being but rather bring them forth. They are in the very air, unless you have the ability to seal this entire plane and those connected to it from allowing any energy or magic from flowing between them my swarm is out of your reach. I do not attack or threaten anyone, but I do make those around me aware of what could be harmful should they lack self control. You have proven my point, I have attacked no one and threaten no one. Yet you have attempted to contain me due to your flawed logic. My swarm wishes to destroy you and devour this school because of your actions and yet they remain inactive before you. All due to my will, I do not seek conflict yet for the very reasons you have stated I am being met with it even now. As for what you consider interference is mearly an example of my ability. You destroy what you can not control, then you should destroy all your nanites for they can all be controlled by me as well as any creation can. That is my ability, I can not throw it away simply because you wish I did not have it."
Solivala seems to tense slightly at being with in the force sphere after a while.
"If you wish to avoid conflict release me, I have shown no ill intent unlike yourself. If you do not release me you will find that I am not an enemy you can contend with. I lost any sense of mercy long ago, I do not allow those who trap me or hunt me to live."
Aananda can see the clouds growing dense even outside the open door and into the hall.
Solivala wants to avoid any battle or creating enemies but his resolve is set on any path he takes. He has spoken the truth. He also seems to truely hate and slightly fear being contained in any manner.
Yeah he sucks at hiding his feelings. Mostly because he has so little at this time ;)

"You know what? I have absolutely had it! I have spent the last two days crawling through every damned stone in this school to check for leaks in the wards. I am cranky, I am tired, two of my children are in the infirmary due to their own stupidity, and I am done with these childish games."
"Initiate Clearance Program Number 9."
Before he has a chance to find out what that does, she flicks her finger and a large hole opens in the wall behind them.
"You can come back in through the front door if you decide to let go of these delusions of godhood and behave like a civilized creature. Otherwise, the wards are closed to you. Good day!"
He is expelled through the hole at a rapid speed, his fall cushioned by the sphere so that he is not damaged, the sphere dissolving once he had landed. The hole in the wall closed and a few seconds later every single last little nanite he left inside the school was expelled as well.

I assume the general edict is to stay out of the other parallel story lines being constructed, but at some point in time they will inevitably overlap. So the question goes right back to the first post, how big can I make my own head?
Not sure I understand the question. And you're free to interact with other storylines at will.

Solivala |

Solivala's nanites come out of the school like a black river taking a good ten minutes, they dissipate upon leaving.
"It seems the biologicals can not reason without their own issues tying into everything. Very well I have enough data."
His nanites surround the school, he sends his six orbs to stake out the six sites. He flips open one of his belt pockets taking out a pair of strange metal chains and links with many gems held in place. He takes one and clamps it on his left arm at the shoulder and then the other end on the wrist, he does the same to his other arm. The many gems lie covering most of his arms. He then takes a black cloud to the first site, once more he reaches into a pocket producing a shovel. Soon he starts digging a series of shallow trenches.

Solivala |

The trenches fill themselves back in as soon as he moves on to the next one.
The orb at the site reports its observations. Solivala stops mid air to the next location. He remains still for a moment then returns to the last location. He puts away the shovel then takes out a small item, he tosses it before him and it grows into a huge metal bowl. He uses metal dividers to create a design then starts tossing various metal bars into it, they melt as soon as they fall in slowly filling the mold.
You can make rolls to figure out what he is doing.

The kobold exits the building. The 'sun' shines brightly in his shadow-loving eyes, and the kobold stumbles. "Arg..." He straightens, and starts walking toward the student. "Hey! Cut that out, brat!"
Without turning from what he is doing a dark cloud forms around the kobold lifting him from the ground up to "eye level" as Solivala turns to speak. The dark cloud even moves over the kobold to give him shade from the sun.
"I am not a brat. I am known as Solivala. Do you wish to speak to me?"
May need a perception check to figure out he has a drow body sense he is so covered up. Lets say DC 5 if there is nothng else.

Krays |

That's not gonna end well...

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

That's not gonna end well...
Agreed. I wonder if there is a window in the Infirmary we can see out of...

Well, no way to fail that check, so...
"Watch your tone. What do you think you're...ajukid. Rshulk. Erp*.The kobold stares. Then he flicks his wrist, and a tiny crossbow falls out of his sleeve and into his hand. His eyes narrow. "Obnav ilfu danmet werel, umbergrine.*" He seems to be shaking. "NOW!"

Tom The Spirit |

Tom locates what caused him to be quickly jolted from his nap. It was a screaming dog like creature running out into the open space outside the school. Tom follows the dog like creature only to see yet another creature that seem to be making something in a large bowl.
Tom looks around for a nice spot to view the interaction.
He finds a nice little grassy knoll, and plops his little bum down. The turtle has finally made it back to the ground, but it does not leave.

He ignores the weapon, he doubted it could harm him. The swarm keeping the kobold afloat agreed as well it seemed.
"I was attempting to enroll in the school but was ejected by an overly emotional woman. Now I am crafting something, you have interrupted me. Is that all you wish to know?"
He eyed the weapon, it did not seem to be a very well made one at that. He could see a number of improvements that could be made via magic or reconstruction.
No need to roll his mod is higher then the DC.

Vakkler Relkav |

The swarm keeping the kobold aloof agreed as well it seemed.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
"I was attempting to enroll in the school but was ejected by an overly emotional woman. Now I am crafting something, you have interrupted me. Is that all you wish to know?"
Vakkler glares. "If you wish to enroll in the school, then enroll. Otherwise, your presence will not be tolerated. It will be treated for all intents and purposes as spying, so get."
He found it strange that a kobold had a drow weapon, it did not seem to be a very well made one at that. He could see a number of improvements that could be made via magic or reconstruction.
[/i]
What's that about?

Ryleh |

She sipped her tea and watched the scene unfold in one of her many scrying crystals. And her grandchildren wondered why she was never bored.

Solivala |

Sorry thought you said hand crossbow >.<
Solivala stares at the kobold a moment.
"I will make my second attempt once I am done. As for spying that is an illogical assumption, as a spy would not be building something in plain sight, also a spy would not answer any questions but flee or kill you while replacing you as well. If there is nothing else I must resume my work."
He turns back to the filling bowl, putting things in from his pockets. The cloud slowly falls putting the kobold on the ground but keeping him in shade.
Kinda find it funny that he does not mind being handled by the swarm :)

Ah, missed that bit. Still, he wouldn't show fear before a drow. Though there probably should have been a save or suchwhat, for future reference.
Oh, and I did say hand crossbow. Since when are hand crossbows drow inventions? Drow use them, but I don't believe they invented them."Hardly. Typical drow speech, thinking you can poke holes in an accusation without any proper logic. A spy would wish to not be known. My death would not hide your identity. Neither would your escape. As such, the best course of action would be to convince the accuser that no spy existed in the first place. You're making that attempt, but poorly."

Solivala |

Solivala ignores the kobold as he finally finishes the first phase. With in moments the metals are cooled and hardened. He starts casting a series of spells touching a gem on his arm from time to time, each seems to dim after being touched. He then flips the bowl, removing what looks like a metal pole from his pocket until with a tug a large gear on its end comes out.
"You would be wise to move back."
After waiting a moment, regardless if the kobold listens or not. He swings and slams down the gear head into the top of the bowl with deceptive force. Enough to give off a slight shockwave, he then puts away the gear staff as well as the bowl, leaving behind a mold. He places a hand on it for a moment and it falls into the ground leaving only the impression of where it was.
"I have five more to make."
Using a cloud he flies to the next location.

Taron Sunwake |

"I'm...uh....sorry," he said, looking askance at Fieri, "if my...response offended you in some way. I...uh...need time to...er....process the information..."
Taron is finding it very hard to conceal the fact he isn't unconscious. But with Jiminy putting his talon in his mouth it was hard to keep from smiling..

Knowledge (engineering):1d20+20
Vakkler watches, eyes narrowed, and tries to work out what the drow is up to. He glances back at the school questioningly.
You can tell that is part of a system. It is a combination of arcane and technology based construction. It is also strangely flawless, no weak points in its creation.

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |

Jiminy looked totally flummoxed.
"Well, it's not like you had to hear about yourself being killed over and over again," he grumbled. "It's disconcerting!"

Vakkler frowns. I don't suppose one of those deranged telepaths is reading my mind? I don't know what to do.

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |

"Well, yeah. Knowing about it as a general thing is a lot less uncomfortable than finding out the specifics, you know? What did you think I meant...Oh. Um. No, that's fine by me. I mean, it's not like Dad was always an elf. And I hope this means you won't be sleepwalking anymore. That was freaky."

::Let him be. We'll just let him finish his tantrum, shall we? And no, I wasn't reading your mind. Vakkler starts. ::Who--er--alright.::
The kobold turns, and walks slowly back to the building. Before he leaves, though, he fires a shot up into the cloud. "I have much more than these bolts to throw, unnatural things. Go back to your ridiculous master."
Taron Sunwake |

"I...thanks?" she said, looking confused.
She glances over at Kam.
"I guess I'll talk to Taron when he wakes up. Um, whenever that is."
Taron rolls over.
"Five more minutes."
"..."
"Dammit. Jiminy's supposed to be the one that makes jokes..."]
Kam actually has a hand over his mouth trying to hold back his laughter.

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |

"Brat."
Jiminy tosses a pillow at Taron.
"Enjoy the show? As you can tell I am the foot swallowing champion," he said sarcastically. "But then, I am the best at everything," he added, fake preening.

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |

Taron quickly adds the thrown pillow to his own, making a strange and feathery fort out of them.
"Especially inflating your own ego."
"What can I say, bro? When you're as great as I am, you deserve to have these things done by the best...which is me," he said with his most charming grin.
