Okay, just a coincidence that I got Smurfette twice in a row a moment ago. In that case, hot dog!

Smurf-testing?

In my day, we didn't have any of these new-fangled "pants"...

  • Random lurker bump. This seems to be the only relatively active and successful Savage Tide PbP on the forums, from what I can tell.

....Okay, Bill and Stabbyface over there are seriously creeping me out. Watch them closely as you refresh. Bill's eye sort of....follows you around the room.

    . . . .

...you remember when the OTD started taking its roleplays way too seriously.

Come, He Who Speaks The Truth, Shall Not Be Named, She Who Shall Not Be Named, and that Cyclops guy. Now that everyone else has fled, we will begin our plotting to bring down this community from within.

Only if nobody does anything smarter than "spend a week looking around". ;P

One week later, the ghost of Fifteen ascends into the heavens, having completed his pointless task. A pity he didn't pack a waterskin.

You might consider just posting on Recruitment explaining this. People are understanding enough (and eager enough to find any PbP) that you'll probably still be able to get some players and get started. Just run a short one-shot and see what happens.

Fifteen begins the most important, exciting quest of his career.

    Taking 20, unless interrupted.

    Fifteen begins the search.
Taking Twenty for 22. Such a shame fighters don't have Perception as a class skill, eh?

"Fifteen. They call me Fifteen. Hello, Grim. Nathimean. Other person. Attractive person."

Also, people with wheelbarrows full of garden gnomes. Can't trust 'em.

    "Don't eat flowers."

Fifteen feels the need to assert his dominance in this party.
    Diplomacy: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
    But he knows his place.

    Fifteen follows.

    Also, Basic Stats:
    Human Fighter 1
Feats: Point Blank Shot, Deadly Aim, Precise Shot
    Attacks: Longbow +1 (+2 within 30 ft.) (1d8+3, x3)
    Hit Points: 1d10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 2 + 1 = 13

Fifteen looks at the others, wondering if they're going to come along.

"Move quiet enough. Maybe." He offers his hand to Bolgrim. "Name's Fifteen."

"I'll go with you. Smash stuff."

    Fifteen fiddles with his bow.

The man with the bow looks up from 'his' beer. "Mum fought wars?"

    Spoiler:
    3d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 4) = 9
    3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 4) = 13
    3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4) = 15
    3d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3) = 9
    3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 1) = 12
    3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 5) = 10

A man with a bow—known around town as "Fifteen"—walks in and starts drinking Prettymonk's ale.

Adon + Lyn Only (not that Lyn particularly needs to read this, but I'm too lazy to PM for something this minor and it's not like I can say she can't read it, it's her game, and okay this is getting a bit silly):
Let me know when you want da s&+~ to go down. The character will pay the visit and reveals will be made.
Incidentally, I don't actually know the full extent of the shard's "deal", since I ain't read any of the spoilers. Near as I can tell, the shard of the Patron of Destruction is somewhat merged with Adon, making him a sort of being of living negative energy and therefore unsustainable?

Bags of Devouring already have the potential to be sentient, though I think they'd be best-suited for the teacher role. I'm not sure there'd be much to them past the gimmick, though, so they might work better for a background NPC. :P

For a moment, I thought Reviarti was a bag of devouring. Now that'd be a weird character. ;D

    ...

    Huh.

Got ninja'd. And I missed Minniwick's action. So yeah. KK?

    Minniwick? Canvy?

It looks like 84 to me, but I don't know what attacks hit and what attacks didn't, so KK is probably the best person to confirm it.

Ephebe and co. want to reveal their nature. Taron inverted the planet.
I'm not really seeing the bleeding here. ;P

    HOLY SCHEMING DEMON CATMAN!
    (cwutididthere? ;P)

Great. Are we going to have the students murder each other in the showers? Stack the odds against the brightest ones? Force them to accidentally commit xenocide?
Excellent! It's about time we stopped employing weakling Agarthian teaching methods!

Your logic is messing up my logic pointing out a perceived lack of logic. Thanks a lot.

Unfortunately, Phaeze is tragically left behind since he doesn't have a love interest to show him how to get out. There will be a huge collective "Oh hey, where'd Phaeze go?" when MisterLurch comes back.
    ;P

That deals 1d6 extra electricity damage.

Anybody else see the flaw here? :P

The silver liquid whirs through the grass and towards the forest, looking for Slarrow.
    It'll be a while. :P

I suppose I need to find a dice roller on here instad of rolling it manually and then typing it in.

    Should have been 33.

    My quote says a 32.

Well, ain't important. Pretty sure a 30 would notice the silver bit anyways.

    Perception

I think the Dice Roller got confused. Nice bonus, by the way.

Also, no offense KC, but Soli reminds me of you back when we were playing the Elemental Champions. Charles too.

None taken. Implications that I've improved are what I play for.

Moving on. It's okay if I play the ruler of the Dragon Empire, right?
    Awesome!
    Okay, guess who it is?
    You'll never guess! >:)

I'm still waiting on the mob's reaction to the 'landslide' actually...

    What post was that? >.>

There are shouts of surprise as the wall comes up.
    "He's a Cardcaster!"
    "I told you!"
"We're here to kill the dragons!"
"We're here to shut you down!"
    "Maybe we should go!"
    "Kill him!"

Slarrow falls from Vakkler's pack, realizing his master has fallen unconscious for some reason. The tiny albino slurk hops over to Vai's unconscious form. He begins croaking up a storm, hoping to attract a healer.
    Augh, missed Ryo's post.
The mob shouts at Ryo, refusing to be slowed. A few rocks are thrown. The others just attempt to go around the Headmaster.
