Vai had gone to sit with Fei on the sidelines after the incident with Morrivan, and tried to do some of the basic meditation techniques Sifu Daiyu had told her of. Deep, full breaths. Empty mind, no thoughts. It was alot harder than it sounded, and she kept losing focus... especially with Fei sitting next to her.

"The key (and the most difficult hurdle) is to not think about doing it, and just simply...do it," Fei whispers to her as he observes her struggle.

"Are you still...distracted by what Sadie and Morrivan did earlier?"

"Oh almost forgot." He pays for the long eared hat from earlier and leaves with johnny.
Tybalt orders a hot chocolate. When it gets there he carefully sticks a spoon into the drink. It freezes over and he pulls it out of the mug. Chocolate popsicle. He licks at it as Johnny talks with his sandpaper tongue.
"So the first people freaked and the second were totally fine with it? If they think [I]that's magic, I don't want to think what they'd do to me." He looks just a bit afraid.

"Let us walk then, and do the sims after, if we have time." Tyrrin stands and stretches, waiting for Ghalen to lead the way, allowing herself to be led for once, rather than leading.

He stands as well. He turns to the waiter...

"'Thel, please clean up here and take the dishes back to the kitchen staff. Thank you for your help, well done."

"Do not mention it, Young Lord, I shall await your return. It was nice to make your acquaintance, M'lady" he says to Tyrrin, then begins to clean up.

"Back home there is a group that dos this, you know, they know what to do, I think I may need to work at it some more. I just feel bad looking at the over abundance and wast how fellow students have and do, wile others here on this world are left to rot or be subjects of some King or Despot. Its retarded, they are fighting for a better empire but its just another type of the same empire. This time with Family Sunwake and there group siting on high, now all this stuff about race purity with frebirds, eugenics great **** what is this place.

Johnny seems very perturbed

"I know what you mean. It is a bad feeling to be privileged when you know that there are other people suffering." :/

Construct [Culture tech] Johnny L14

Johnny nods,
"That's it exactly Ty, I worked out yesterday what this whole 'School" is really about and it has little or nothing to do with the day to day suffering of the inhabitants of this world. It has far more to do with finding an army to protect one family and aid their goals and objectives. If I wanted to make an army what better way than to offer 'free' Schooling for problem but massively powerful and talented kids, you know who I am talking about They seek to protect themselves, wile following and agenda of placing themselves at the heart of a revaluation they are seeking to ferment. But the caliber of that leadership, well that Jiminny the man child we meet the other day showed me just what that is, Just what are they doing to up life the mass population here, what tangible benefits can you see. Not one couse or club at the school to help others in the wider community, O you can learn to be a better killer, sorry 'Needed defiance' to real help, Do you know you probably did more that most students to day to make ordinary citizens lives better. O I know if I asked they would spin a roll out a whole host of things they are doing unseen, but thats not the point, My point is it has to be seen, we should all of use be trying as a priority to lift this one world up, then and only then can we say we have the right to head out into the empire and push 'any' kind of agenda."

Anahita bint Tariq wrote:

For just a moment there, all faces of Anahita peer at Vare and given the ancient, the middle aged and the young, peering at him, there might be a bit of calm and studiousness in that look.

Then Anahita speaks and the other faces look off and about, disinterested, "Magic is, well, magic. I'm not sure, however-- but, we could certainly experiment and find out. I would not mind the heady conversation to continue... though, I'm curious if you enjoy nature, getting outdoors and hunting, the beating in your heart, the chase of prey. Do you enjoy a good chase, Vera?" A simple smile forms on her face at that.

Then after a moment, "If you were to fashion some manner of item that allowed me to share my thoughts with you, more often, I would be happy to share my perceptions more often." There's but a quick glance at Rena, then back to Vera. "I would want to be certain, though, that it is not undesired. I have little interest in offending with what is offered.".

Vare wonders momentarily what he had said to illicit such a reaction from Anahita's dreamscape selves. He hadn't the faintest clue. "... Truth be told, I do not believe I have ever hunted a day in my life, Miss Anahita. Despite what Rena may believe, I can survive on conjured food, and I feel no desire to harm or chase other living beings for the thrill of it. I do however, enjoy the more peaceful aspects of nature. The scents especially. Ink and parchment become grating on the nose after so long." he says in response to her question about hunting, a somewhat puzzled look on his face. He had figured her for a protector and guardian of the natural. Examines her quizzically, but her dreamscape selves once again appear disinterested.

"Sadly, I am not able to fashion magical items of any kind. All such texts on the subject have proven unreadable to me... however." Vare looks over to the sleeping Rena. "It would be welcome, you have no fear of that."

"Then, perhaps, at this Academy, you could work on something that would allow you a better means to view the world-- not that your vision, which was shared, is wrong. You appear to blend the issue, though slight, well with your innate abilities or learned ones. I'm certain too, if you were to put your mind to it, you could find a way to read-- Oh, in fact, one of the mechanical things speaks lore at you, if you wanted. A student, Ehos, has such a device. You could put knowledge into this .. data pad, and have it educate you with the lore you want, no need to actually read, voice activated." She grins at her sharing of basic 'Mechanics' class talk.

"Personally, I'd rather see a living being have that knowledge and share it, but, some people would rather give that task to a tool. I've heard of arcane casters that are of similar mind with their golems and the like. It's a shame that these intelligent tool makes fail to realize the disruption potential of a culture and such, by making such things too easily available. I knew a tribe of monkeys once, which I interacted with, and one day-- the most aggressive discovered a fallen knife. Before long, many of his tribe mates were dead, or injured. A pity, how that tool ruined a tribe so quickly." After that, however, she went for another bite.

"Then, you are not an aggressive person, interesting." Perhaps in reference to his dislike for hunting. "It is natural, hunting and killing for survival. Wasting what you hunt, however, that is when it is no longer a part of the cycle-- merely seeking trophies. Despicable, really."

Seemed Anahita was content with some casual conversation at this point, a little bit of sharing and a little bit of asking. Clearly, she was on occasion soliciting an emotional response with her own responses.

"Ty they don't have a chose, they can't go out and calling in an are there hiding here, what better way then to have wards that let just the right ones in, the needy the weak, the ones that can be bent to the will of the family. I know and expect to be vilified for my views mocked and reticulated, But someone has to voice this or it will not be said. I want them to show me they are NOT what they seem to be, a desperate group using clandestine methods to make a force for them to use should the Empire show up, think about it want would you and the rest of the school do if they did? fight of course, and by them time. A child army one of the oldest horrors of war."

Johnny looks at the sky.

"Ty ask yourself, why, when a whole empire is after you and you wish to keep out of site and safe would you open our doors to kids like me and you, kids who would be seen as gods to that 1st village I went to."

Johnny takes another sip of coffee.

"and the deceit and lies, the mystical mobo-jumbo, mother nature, magic beings, magic in all things, pour BS, aimed to fool and keep the masses from any kind of true critical inquiry, to keep them dumb and blind. there is a war all right Ty, but this war is over knowledge and the freedom to have it and transmit it. There is always some pontificate pompous get, spuwing some anecdotal evidence why the masses should not be informed, but no when one looking into that Evidence one finds it they misunderstood what was going one or just lied to keep the powers that be in place. Freedom to fail is as in-portent part of freedom to self expression, how can you EVER be free wile others hold you back because they SAY you should know. I have one view in life Ty above all others Ty, 'The truth will set you free'"

"Mr.Ryo could just be nice. not everyone has ulterior motives. No one can just trust anyone these days." He says a bit annoyed. Its just a pet peeve. "If these dragons were powerful enough to make a planet, turn it inside out, build the wards that do everything they do now and more then and obscure it from everyone everywhere else, then a group of volatile kids with control issues isn't gonna be able to do much of anything they can't."
He sighs.
"This is depressing. How bout that club. Do you like the idea?"
He tries to change the subject.

When I was younger and a good deal more impetuous, I acquired a scroll for a spell which I was not entirely perpared in mind to cast. I scribed it into my spellbook and eagerly attempted it. It backfired very badly, and I barely survived. There is a great lesson in that, and your story. Tools can be useful, but they are also dangerous."

"Indeed, most creatures require some kind of sustenance. But, as I have no need to hunt, I do not wish to inflict pain and death unnecessarily. I feel any hunting on my part will therefore be a waste, would it not?" There is a hint of a question with that, as if wondering if Anahita agreed with his assessment. He rearranges his new robes they're still a bit stiff after all, freshly minted as they are.
