He seems like he's about to fall over, and nearly does, when suddenly he catches himself, "Ugh, ooh, that wasn't good. That's the second time that's happened to me today." He says, half to himself
He shakes his head, and blinks a few times, "My sincerest apologizes High Seer, I am unsure what came over me. But I assure you, it has passed. The lovely young lady is Ginni, my girlfriend. The little ball of fur in her hands is a puppy we rescued just prior to meeting you."
"..." The High Seer merely observes as Ace has his episode, watching with hawk-like intensity.
"You should have yourself checked over with medical people, High Priest. A cleric of some sort, perhaps." Is all she says on the issue. "A pleasure to meet you as well, Ginni."
"Pardon my brusqueness, I really must speak with your Headmaster before he believes I have brought an army to his doorstep." Faelwen says, with a ghost of a smile. It is quite possible that the High Seer just made a joke. It's very obvious where Tyrrin gets her sense of humour.

I mean, maybe not a long time in the grand scheme of things... but I spent time with him every day for four months before I even kissed him on the cheek." Vai looks away, blushing, her hair falling in front of her face to cover one of her eyes. "I was only able to kiss him really just a few hours ago. It... it's hard for me to be close to someone like that. But I almost never get frustrated with him. But that doesn't mean anything Melody. Love is... strange. Someday you will understand, but today you should just hold your own vows close." He seemed to relax as the conversation move away from his own order and home.Lang looks to Ardiente
I only hope that an oath to be at my side and to train me is not one of those oaths.
Ardiente turns away from the conversation, walking a short distance away. What was wrong with him? That was the second time this evening he'd had an outburst like that. Was he so off-center? He had just gotten angry at a child, for something that he would've agreed with only yesterday. And now he had turned away instead of apologizing. He should right that wrong now, while he still had the chance.
The fiery firebird turns back to the group, Lang in particular, and bows. "I apologize Lang. It was only this morning that my oaths were removed from me. I have carried them since I was six years old. It is not something so easy to forget or forgive."

the participant looked oddly at him for a moment, before adon said
"well, go on, attack me!"
every blow made by the opponent was matched, even using his non-dominant hand, and rather obviously little effort.
"no, strike lower. Faster there. You see, that leaves you open, you can't afford to hit my blade at all, if you do, I can twist it like... this and hit you, without chance of retaliation. Here, i want you to try.
as he switches to the offensive, it is clearly very hard for him not to make the quick and deadly strokes he usually does, and even as he tries to hold back, the student is nearly overwhelmed.
"you are doing good. Don't be discouraged- I'm rather well-practiced, and you are doing rather well being able to block my strikes at all."
Adon is trying, and fortunately, he did get one of the higher intermediates, who is taking the challenge rather well.

Ginni had attempted to curtsy when introduced, but curtsying while holding a puppy is...impractical at best. All she succeeded at was getting her wings to snap out from 'fun-size' to flight size in order to maintain her balance, which was embarrassing. She hated it when this happened because the larger wings were much more likely to get her mistaken for a demon. She watched Ace anxiously. These episodes of his were concerning. She just nodded when the High Seer excused herself, not trusting herself to speak without sounding like an idiot.
